Kathleen G. from WEST BEND, WI:
Excellent vintage look men's leather jacket. Nice leather, sturdy zippers, double stitching, nice snap cuffs, zip out lining. This was a Christmas gift and I debated long and hard on the size. After reading all the reviews, I decided on ordering 2 sizes up, hoping it would be perfect but knowing an exchange would be easily taken care of if need be. It fit perfectly. He loves the jacket, I'll definitely shop at leatherup again.

Jay V. from MONMOUTH, OR:
I really wanted this jacket! It appears to have great features like armor, the leather is heavy, the zippers are quality Stitching looked great, but the sizing is messed up. I started by ordering a 4X and found it too small so I ordered the 5X and it was close if not the same as the 4X had been I carry all my weight in my belly (54") with a 42 waist and 50" chest. both the 4X and 5X jackets needed another 3-4" more leather to even touch the other side. If you are smaller, not as heavy, etc, this jacket is really nice, its heavy, has a liner, armor and would give you great protection. but it runs really small. I went to my local leather shop, and while more expensive a 4X in another brand fit me perfectly.

Timothy O. from Melbourne, FL:
Truly heavyweight. I usually wear 3xl and ordered 5xl. Found it to be a bit large, but will allow for a really thick sweater and shirt without being too snug to zip. Inside pockets are side load- not top load. Good for concealed carry of small pistol or revolver.

Alexander S. from Seattle, WA:
I bought this jacket to replace an old HD jacket I had that was showing its age and it was definitely worth it. Xelment tends to run slightly small, and with that in mind I ordered accordingly one size up from my usual. I have long arms and a shorter torso and this jacket fits perfectly for my body type. I was out of town when the jacket was delivered and when I returned the package was missing, I submitted a support ticket through leatherup describing the problem and received a call and a replacement order the following day - I cannot say enough about the speed and quality of the support team, excellent job guys. I will definitely order through these guys again. The only negatives I can say about the jacket itself are more of personal preference rather than defects, as the jacket is well made: 1: it would have been nice to have had a fabric collar insert or something as the leather is stiff and can chafe pretty badly until it breaks-in if you don't wear a high collared shirt. 2: The armor pads have quite a bit of wiggle room in their pockets and can shift around as you ride, as such it is hard to get them positioned comfortably - I have removed them. All in all a great, sturdy, stylish, jacket for the price. Would purchase again.

James O. from SHAWANO, WI:
Excellent touring jacket. Multi vents are nice. IMO this jacket is perfect for all but the hottest days as this is a very heavy jacket. Liner is removable but still quite warm on those hot days. I generally wear size large, but ordered a 2XL and it fits me perfectly. I am 5'8" 195 lbs. muscular build. Received in 5 working days. Thanks LeatherUp for a great product!

brendan h. from OAK HILL, OH:
Bottom line, this is a decent jacket for the price. The leather is thick and the full liner is very nice. Have worn this jacket on many cold rides and it kept me warm. The removable armor is also nice because I go back and forth between cruising and sport riding. Basically, if you want a heavy leather jacket to keep you warm and the wind off without spending several hundred dollars i recommend this jacket. However, if you expect quality for your money then I do not recommend this jacket. The fit is off. Definitely order at least 1 size larger, maybe 2. I am 6ft, 180lbs, 32in waist and ordered a large which is very snug. I wear a size 42 in racing leather jacket and this feels just slightly bigger. The sleeves go right to my wrists and the back rides up when I get on the bike so I can't stretch or lean too much without exposing myself. Also the second time wearing it, the snaps that hold the liner inside the arms ripped out and left holes in the interior of the jacket. So be delicate taking the jacket off. I think these jackets are put together really fast which can be seen through close inspection of the seams and stitching. There are defects in the leather and wobbling in the seam patterns. On my jacket this is very apparent when I attempted to use the concealed carry pocket and noticed the elastic holster was sewn in backwards making this feature useless. Like I said, if you want a jacket to keep you warm that looks fairly nice and you don't care about the features because it costs half the price then this is a good jacket. But if you care about quality and getting the best product for your money you may be disappointed.

William B. from HENDERSONVLLE, NC:
For the most part, I am very happy with the jacket. I wear a 3XL so I ordered a 5XL and it fits perfectly. It's surprisingly heavy which I like very much and the stitching is good on the entire jacket. I found one small nick in the leather on the shoulder seam and the leather on a small panel on the sleeve had stretch marks. As you might expect, the entire jacket as quite stiff. I easily repaired the nick with a small drop of super glue and two coats of Leather Honey took care of the stretch marks and made the entire jacket more supple. It's a great jacket for the price and I expect to wear it for years to come.

This is a great Jacket, only issue is it does run small as others have said, so I did have to do an exchange. But even that went very smooth, and everyone at Leather Up was very helpful.

I had a lady pullout in front of me as I was going about 55 miles per hour. I had this jacket on and I received no no upper injuries at all. Now do I think this jacket is worth it, YES VERY. Do you know, I still wear this jacket today with the scars and all on it. Makes me look meaner, lol

I am 5'10" and 240 lbs. I ordered the 3xl. The sleeves could be 1" longer and the back length 2"longer. If you lean forward at all to reach the bars the back is pulling above your belt. The leather quality and features are great for the price. With my belly larger than my waist the 2xl would not have fit. Jim B. Green Bay, WI.

Vladimir S. from BOYDS, MD:
I ordered this jacket almost 2 years ago and have been riding in it (and snowboarding even) for near 2 years. I am ~170lb 5'11 and purchased the large. It's a bit big without the liner, but with the liner there's just enough room to fit a sweatshirt. The jacket is heavy and the leather is quite decent for the money; buttons and some of the stitching around the cuffs will deteriorate under frequent use. VERY IMPORTANT: these jackets are cheap because of the stiching quality. I went down at about 30-40mph and the elbow piece almost came off because the stiching ripped. The leather will save your skin, but in a high speed accident jacket parts will rip off. I suggest to look at other jackets on the site where the stiching is vertical down the sides of the jacket arms with no horizontal stiches across vulnerable areas- less chance of shearing. Also, the bottom of the jacket will ride right up as you're sliding and leave you with a nice little scar, but at least my arms are unscathed! All in all, solid street jackets under most conditions but do not go down at freeway speeds!

I normally wear XL in most clothes and jackets. I ordered 2XL in this jacket based on previous experience. The jacket is snug with a shirt underneath and the liner. The leather is stiff as a board but should soften up with wear. All zipper work but wish they had a 2 way main sipper and zipper pulls. Overall, would buy again. Hope I never have to test the durability factor.

Jacket is an excellent quality! The item came very quickly and the customer service was excellent. The quality and durability of the jacket is excellent as is the look and fit. The jacket is extremely heavy, like wearing chainmail, but that is the only drawback. When I saw the quality of the jacket, I promptly ordered a jacket for my girlfriend. I will definitely shop Xelement in the future!

I was looking for a medium weight leather riding jacket and certainly found it in this one. I really like the major venting that allowed for wear when the temps increase during a ride. The distressed leather is a nice look and it fits quite well in style with my new Indian Chief vintage

Wow! Awesome jacket! I'm 5'8" 215 lbs, muscular/athletic build, wide shoulders and bigger than average arms...and went with the 3XL....any smaller would have been a mistake. Zippers are high grade...fit and finish is awesome. This jacket is worth twice what I paid for it. Absolutely love it! My Chest measurement (including shoulders) was 56"....chest measurement under arms is 42". Waist is 35". Great value!

LOVE this Jacket. Heavy leather, finished beautifully. I'm 6'1" and 160 lbs and the Large fits well. The armor is easily removed for daily wear, and slips right back in for a ride on the bike. Great Price!!! and Quality made. Plenty of vents and they all close tight when it's cold. No regrets. Already bought a 2nd jacket for my son.

Great jacket. Heavy, durable, and looks clean. I ordered the XL because that is what I normally wear and it was tight in the arms and chest. The return process was super easy and I exchanged for a 2XL. Couldn't be happier. Great customer service and the replacement took less than a week. The jacket has great storage room, the venting is fantastic, and the liner is super warm. I would recommend this jacket to all.

I order this jacket last fall. It's a great jacket but I wish I would have gotten a Large. I'm 5'11", 190, 34" waist. It fits great with a sweatshirt underneath and the lining is easy to take in and out. I do feet the sleeves are a little long but at least I don't have any exposed skin when riding in the cold. Lots of pockets make for great storage. It is a nice looking jacket although the leather smell is a bit overpowering. I have a large in a different jacket from leatherup and its fits even better.

This is an awesome jacket! Great Vent system and good pockets. I am 6ft and 200 pounds, no gut and the XL fits just like a fitted jacket should. I did take out the armor and liner and the jacket fits perfect. Very nice for wearing out anywhere and perfect for riding in all weather. One of the nicest leather jackets I have ever owned. Like what everyone else has said, this is an excellent jacket. I waited over three months for this jacket to get back in stock and it was well worth the wait. I'm 5'9" 170lbs with an athletic build (bigger chest and shoulders), and the large fits me perfectly. Although the jacket is heavy, it has a pretty good temp range that you can use it comfortably. This is the best jacket or any kind I have ever owned.

Very pleased with the style and quality of this jacket. It arrived the next day after I purchased it which was a pleasant surprise. It is a heavy jacket, perfect for a motorcycle jacket but heavier than a casual jacket. Regardless, it's a great jacket. I am 6'-1" and 185 pounds and the XL fit perfectly. This is the second leather jacket I have purchased from LeatherUP.com and am impressed with everything about them. Great quality, great prices, and quick shipping.

Love the jacket. I normally wear a large, but had to order a XXL. The XXL fits much better, but the sleeves were tight on the forearm without a shirt on and extended slightly past my thumb when standing with my arms down. Shoulders are slightly wider, but I definitely couldn't go any smaller. I am 5'8" and 188 pounds, medium build.

I bought this jacket for a friend and everyone that saw it loved it, including my Pal. It fits great with lots of pockets and protection, and it hit the road going about 35-40 mph and kept him safe a week after I gave it to him. If you want a great riding jacket that keeps you safe, looks great, and fits great, you get two thumbs up from me on this one. Great job, LeatherUp, and thank you!

First of all the quality and the amount of workmanship is that of a 400 $ jacket. The fit is actually quite good for someone of my stature (2xl 6'6" 230lb) the arms are actually long enough! The chest fits well but the waist is a little loose, but to expected with my body build. If you are an owner of only a textile jacket for riding in cooler weather you need to get a leather jacket. Ive comfortably ridden in 40 degree weather with out even a sweatshirt underneath! All things considered the jacket is beyond my expectations already planning on buying a black one for next season!

I bought the jacket larger like everyone recommended. I'm 6'1" tall and weigh 210 lbs so I bought the 2XL. It fit perfect. But, I ended up returning it because it did not keep me warm on my 45 minute ride to work in 30-32 degree weather. The liner is a joke. I honestly was going to get someone to make me a new liner so I could keep the jacket, but decided that was too much work.

Great jacket, very heavy and durable. It does run very small, I usually wear an XXL so I ordered a 3X, wish I would have ordered a 4X so I would have more room for winter layers. The collar is also very tight on me bu I have a big neck. The sleeves are long enough whiich isn't the case unless I get tall garmets. I would reccomend this jacket, it's loaded with features and priced very fairly. Thanks!! It arrived 2 days after I oredered it, very fas shipping!!

The jacket was great. I was at 7000 feet elevation a 6:00 am and the jacket kept me warm. I like the color because it seems that everyone wears black. Yes it's heavy but it gives you a feeling that it will do its job if you get my meaning. Over all I'm very pleased with the quality fit and finish.

Jacket as described, heavy and appears to be a good jacket, have not worn it yet as it is 110 degrees here in Texas at this time- Bought for winter riding. Would and have reccomended this item to others. I ordered the Xl and I am 5'11 and weigh 195 lbs. A bit snug, but will loosen up when I break it in. It still has the body armor in it as well. May have to extract the body armor and liner as the jacket appears to have enough thickness and protection by itself. My brother wrecked his bike 1 month ago and a motorcycle jacket of this type is all that kept him from having injured arms and road rash all over his body. Not a single bit in the area of the jacket.
