Thomas M. from Mays Landing, NJ:
I was a little on the apprehensive side when I ordered this jacket, but just for sizing. I took the advice of most of the reviews and ordered one size larger. I am 5'-8" tall 160lbs. I wear a 42R sport coat, which is considered a large, and I wear XL Tee shirts because I like them baggie, don't like the love handles showing even though I'm over 60. Chest measures 43-44 I purchased an XL.The fit was perfect for me. I also have just enough room to wear an insulated hoody under the shell. Winter rides in NJ are pretty cold. The sleeves are long for wearing as a jacket, but for riding they are perfect. I rated everything 5 stars except for durability, I've only owned it a day, but looking at the construction of the jacket it looks like it will last a long time. One of the guys I ride with paid double what I did, and his looks and feels like the same jacket. I would recommend this jacket and Company to anyone. If you ride you will love all the pockets!

Jay V. from MONMOUTH, OR:
I got this jacket after carefully going over the sizing info, remeasuring and re-reading hte reviews on fit. I wear a 2X jacket, or sometimes a 3x - I ended up ordering the 4x jacket and it was too small. the zipper was 3 inches away from each side at the belly. I do carry my weight in my gut so it was not totally unexpected, but I thought it might just be a tight fit. The Jacket looked very well made and I loved the pockets and vent features. I returned it with no problem, but I did have to pay shipping back. They credited my card back right after receiving the jacket back at their warehouse. They did not have a 5X in stock and they can't tell me when they will either. I really liked the jacket so I will wait a couple more months before I start looking at something else.

Great jacket for the money. Not sure about durability yet but it feels like a pretty decent quality. Sizing: I'm a small guy, no gut, athletic build...I bought a small (normal size for me) and it fines fine.

I wear an XL and ordered a XXL fits me great. Heavy jacket will work well in Ohio. Only issue was tab for liner was not sewn to jacket in one sleeve. Other than that love. Saved good money compared to local dealers price

Michael G. from Marion, NY:
This jacket is a "beast", and weighs 6lbs. without the liner. Super well built and super strong with amazing venting and pockets inside and out. You just don't see this kind of durability and quality anymore. If you're looking for a great looking jacket that's built like a tank with all the features, this one fits the bill. Normally, I'm a medium but I read the reviews and ordered a large and it fits like a glove.

Peter T. from Clovis, NM:
I like the jacket but did order one size larger and it fits good. Like all the leather jackets i have owned once this one gets broken in it will fit better. Wore it with all the vents open and stayed cool in the 100 degrees. Only problems I have is where the inner liner sleeve snaps on to the piece of leather, the small piece tore out of the netting. So I am going to take it and get that piece of leather sown onto the upper cuff. Also where the armor can be removed in the arms my fingers get caught in the netting, to bad the velcro doesn't go all the way across, maybe in the future I will get that done.

The first jacket I ordered was a 2 XL and at 6 foot 3 inches and 220 lbs. you would think it would fit. I had to return it and order a 3 XL. Now when it came it fit like a glove and was of good quality. This jacket is a keeper at the price. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I love this coat. I have friends with similar coats that cost 2 to 3 times as much. A lot of the other reviews said to go up a size or two when ordering so I went up 1 size but it was way too large, When I reordered I got the size I normally wear it fit perfect. I am 6 feet 200 pounds with a little larger gut than I would like and the large fits slightly snug the way a motorcycle jackrt should. If you get the right size you wont be dissapointed.

I went one size up and the jacket fits well. Very heavy thick leather that should cut the wind and be very warm. great price compared to other brands. I'm looking forward to cool weather when I can put this jacket through it's paces.

Joel A R. from Marlton, NJ:
I typically wear a 2XL jacket and followed everyone's advise and ordered a 3XL. Needless to say, I had to exchange it for a 4XL which still fit me like a glove. For the price, the Jacket is GREAT and I am looking forward to many years of use from it. Sizing is my only complaint. I have a 40 inch waste and I don't believe the jacket's sizing chart is accurate. I had no problems ordering the second jacket from Leather Up and have just today sent the first jacket back for refund.

Christopher C. from olathe, KS:
A really heavy jacket - very thick. It weights more than any leather jacket I've owned, but it strangely doesn't feel like it's dragging down my shoulders when I walk. For such thick leather it's not stiff at all. It's made for a riding position, so there is more room in the back and a little less in the front. This makes it very comfortable when riding but a bit tight around the chest when standing if it's fully zipped. Not a negative - a regularly fit jacket would be too tight around the back and the sleeves would ride up. The vents on the sleeves and chest do a great job. it's interesting to watch them open wide when cruising. Plenty of airflow. The only thing I can complain about is the zip in liner being so thin that it's almost not worth putting in when it gets cold. The pockets are huge and don't look like it. Each of the big pockets has webbing around the edges that offers plenty of small places to store a pen, sunglasses, earplugs, a wallet, etc. without looking or feeling like they are in the way. The side pockets (the ones you'd normally stuff your hands in on a cold day) are too small to stuff your hands in. These are only maybe 4-5" deep. Another negative that doesn't really bother me. If I had to buy a jacket and I know what I know about this jacket, I'd buy it again without thinking twice.

William L. from Las Vegas, NV:
This jacket fits me perfectly. I ordered a large. I am 6"1' and 164lbs. I love it. I used to have a leather non-riding jacket and it was either too stuffy or too cold when I was wearing it but it was better than nothing. This is great because I have the vents and I have plenty of pockets. Plus the price was amazing. I love it.

I'm 6'0, 260 lbs. 51 inch chest (no shirt). I initially ordered a 4XL--it was too small. Got the 5XL, fits great. LOVE the feel and heft of the leather, and the armored shoulders and elbows. Add in the INSANE amount of storage capacity in the various pockets, and you have an outstanding jacket for riding that is off the charts in terms of value for the money. Love it so much I have two: one in black and one in brown.

Thomas N. from Jacksonville, FL:
For the price/value I love the jacket. The liner has one snap at the end of each sleeve. The very first time I took the liner out, one of the two snaps tabs broke off. The other was super feeble too, so took a needle and thread to sew them back on more securely. I live in FL and will be using this Oct-Mar. It can be 80 in the day and 40 at night so all of the vents and the fact the liner is removeable are a huge plus. Rest of the year leather would be too hot here so going back to textile then. I'm 6'3 220 and the XXXL fits well. I could have gotten away with an XXL, which probably would be a better proper tight fit, but I like mine a little loose. Sleeve length is perfect on this XXXL for riding position. Super quick shipping!

I would have rated this jacket a little better but it shipped with one of the armor pieces being larger then the other three and I have not gotten this resolved yet. I am waiting on Leather ups response. also the snaps that hold liner in at sleeve installed with maybe 3 loops of thread mine pulled out first time i took jacket off. I sewed it back in and checked other sleeve it was the same so just sewed it in better since I had the thread out. it is a nice Jacket for the money and as others have stated runs small

I have 5 leather jackets, and this is the best not only for motorbike, but also for daily use. I am 5'10", 178LB, no gut, but, wide shoulders. After reading many reviews, I ordered large, and it fits perfectly, except it runs a little bit short and tight at the chest. I guess, the shortness will be perfectly fine on the bike. Afte break-in, it should loose up little bit on the chest. My arms are not long, the sleeves fit well, not like others described, e.g. too long. The quality is super, and the look is great. It is not very heavy. For bikers, the weight is just right. I am very happy with it.

I would have liked to have gotten the jacket in Top Grain leather but the buffalo leather should hold up. Although I found other manufacturers that provide similar jackets I preferred the cut and style of this one. As for me I would have liked a bit longer cut in the torso. Other than that it's I nice jacket with plenty of ventilation and pockets.

Usually wear a 2X, so ordered a 3X, had to return for a 4X to get a good fit. That's the only complaint that I have, as minor as it is. The jacket is great in every respect...heavy, warm, plenty of venting when needed, and seems as if it will offer excellent protection from road rash (knocking on wood). Would buy again.

Lucius L. from West Harrison, IN:
This is a REAL rider's jacket. Without the armor this jacket is heavy enough to provide max protection in a slide. I'm 5' 11" and weigh 230. I normally wear an XL but after reading the reviews I ordered an XL and a 2XL. I couldn't get the XL to close around me so I returned it.. The 2XL was pretty tight so I removed the lining and I can now zip it up. It's summer here so I don't need a lining anyway. I've worn this jacket for 1500 miles now and it's never been too hot with the vents open (even on 80 degee days) It does get hot if standing around. When I stop for a beer I just take it off and hang it on a chair next to me. It has plenty of pockets for smaller items and ammo but they're not large enough to pack anything heavy (need to keep it small) When it gets colder here I will slip into a long sleeved Under Armour base layer shirt. I don't think I'll ever need the lining that came with the jacket. There are many lighter and warmer products out there. I returned the XL and had a full refund the next week. BTW.. it will cost you about 25 bucks to return the jacket but the price is cheap for such a valuable piece of gear. I liked it so much I ordered another in Brown..

I waited several months to see this jacket back in stock. As soon as I got the email I ordered it. I am 5'5' 165 lbs. Medium fits me great. I have it brown too. Great thick leather jacket. I am Texas and I have not worn it out yet. I cannot wait to use in the winter time. I know from experience that these jackets definitely keeps the cold out. I have worn my brown jacket on cold days and I was very comfortable while riding at high speeds. It's a cool slick looking jacket at a great price. Well worth buying. Get it know in the summer because it will be out of stock all winter long. This thing has 114 reviews. People definitely like it. I know I do!

In Kansas city we rarely get perfect riding days. so usually it is a bit cold in the evening. if i ride to work I'm always kept warm in this jacket. Absolutely love it. The armor is great, doesn't confine me or get in my way. Love the collar-less look. Would buy again for sure if this were lost, stolen or damaged.

A great jacket for the value. As soon as I got it, took a 2.5 hr ride in 45 degree weather. Liner and jacket kept me warmer than my older jacket and sweat jacket. Also rode this past weekend on a 70 degree sunny afternoon and without liner and vents open. This jacket is very versatile. Glad I chose it. Only negative, and it's only my opinion, is that I wish the front hand pockets were a little bigger.

Incredible jacket. I was taking the MSF course and another rider lost control of her bike and ran into my rear tire (we were both doing 15-18 MPH). I came down pretty solidly and rolled. Not only did I not bruise, the jacker didn't even get scratched up hardly at all. This is the kind of jacket that is well worth more than you'll pay for it.

Received the jacket 3 weeks ago. rode with it on numerous times now and even on 43 deg. ,overcast,15-20 mph wind, day and the jacket has kept me warm and the vents will be a blessing on the warmer days. The jacket fits well( maybe a tiny bit snug). I am 6 ft,, 183 lbs. w/ 33"arm , 42" chest. my only complaints are first, if you hold your arms at your side and and lift them parallel to you the armpits will bind and second, mine didn't come with the leather tabs on the zippers which would help a lot so you could adjust them while riding. LU said they would give me a discount for the mistake. I like the jacket and would order it again, this is my 3rd, item from LU. Customer service is top notch with any problems.

I'm 6' 190lbs. and a 2XL barely makes it for me. I bought this with a 12% off coupon and the next day a 15% coupon came out and the company woud not honor it like many do within a short period of the original sale, too bad. The jacket is well made and comfortable but quite heavy. The sleeves are long so they stay in the gauntlet gloves well.

Ok ,Here's the deal !! For the price, the jacket is great. But the design on the cuffs need a change. The sleeves can do without the button's and the cuff. I'm having the cuff and the button removed .Look closely at the photo before you buy.Can you see that extra 2 inches beyond the zipper? It's cumbersome ! Jus Say-n.Also I wear a large, but it's just a tiny bit snug in the arms with the liner.Take out the liner and it's just right.

I examined many, many leather jackets on the web, before settling on this jacket for my son. All of the reviews I read were very positive, but I realize you need to take reviews with a grain of salt. I went ahead and purchased the jacket and was pleasantly surprised. The jacket was everything you and the reviewers claimed it would be, plus more. My son and I couldn't be happier with the look, fit, material and workmanship of this jacket. As soon as I purchase a motorcycle, I'll be purchasing the same jacket for myself. Thank you! I ordered this on Friday, got it Tuesday - great service. Jacket is all it's advertized to be, heavier than expected as in other reviews. Haven't rode with it yet as of this writing, but the fit is good, and the leather feels great. All zippers work well, and never can have too many pockets! zip out liner works well also. Should be perfect for my upcomming ride for the month of August in Appalatchia!

I was referred by a friend who stated that the quality of LeatherUp was excellent. After receiving my jacket I was more than pleased. I have lloked at many leather jackets and I don't believe that anyone can beat the LeatherUp quality and price. The jacket fit perfect and it is made of high quality leather. There is no question that I will be buying additional items from LeatherUp in the future.
