Tom J. from WARRENVILLE, IL:
I'm going to have to return these because they don't fit. I ordered my normal size 38s and the waste is so tight that the button will definitely snap off if I try to wear them. But the odd thing is that they are baggy everywhere else. I could almost fit two legs in each pant leg. Like the similar "Renigade" pants that I ordered at the same time (which fit perfectly), at least the knee armor pocket opens at the top. With the Renigade pants, the pocket opens at the bottom and the knee armor fell out while trying them on. But with both pants, the knee armor is way too low so I'm going to have my wife modify the Renigade pants to fix that. If I kept these pants, I would have her do the same with these. I've purchased two Xelement leather jackets, one vest, one pair of boots, and some gloves and I have been extremely happy with them. The value is amazing! The pants are the only products that I've had issues with so far.

Love the pants! Wear size 32 and ordered 32. Fit was perfect and shipping fast. Was gonna order another pair but they are out of the 32. Wait til they stock back up. Best pants I own now, the stretching in crotch area is awesome.

Rock K. from owenton, KY:
These jeans are a good fit. I usually wear a 31 in the waist, but the 32 fit perfect. I like the padding in the knees not only for motorcycle safety, but for working pants. I also like the stretch material in the crotch for the motorcycle use and for work use. I wish they had these jeans in carpenter style because I like to use the side pocket for my cell, but these will have to do. I think the price is a little high. If it was lower and they were carpenter pants, I probably would buy more of them.

Barry P. from SANDY, UT:
Of all the items I've bought from Leather Up, this was the only one I wasn't completely satisfied with, and it was probably my fault. I'm 6'3 and a biscuit over 220 lbs. I wear a 36x38 shrink to fit 501's, and the 32" inseam was just too short, they looked like Capri pants and I just can't pull off that look. I have a riding buddy that they will fit so he gets em. If they ever get them in a longer length I'm down for a pair. The stretch knees and groin are an awesome feature.

Joseph C. from PERKIOMENVLLE, PA:
Took a 40mph slide wearing these a few weeks ago. The friction between pants and thigh gave me a minor abrasion, but pants held up to the road without a tear and I"m sure the kneepad absorbed some of the original impact with ground. You wouldn't even guess based on the jeans that it ever happened. Jeans and my Xelement Jacket saved me a lot of pain and kept me from being in the hospital with a nurse working me over with a brillo pad. Also fit comfortably and are a less showy than a lot of riding pants. I'll buy more.

christopher p. from WOODSIDE, NY:
I want to love these pants but they're just ok. The denim on them is actually thinner than a sturdy pair of jeans and the pads really aren't that significant. They're just foam that isn't very contoured at all. So, you guessed it, they don't naturally wrap around your knee or stay in place very well. With time I'm sure the pads may shape to my knee. But I wonder about the effectiveness of padding that is pliable enough to bend/turn and be formed over time.

Marla M. from PHOENIX, AZ:
My husband likes these pants so much that I bought him 2 more pairs for Christmas. The rise is high enough that his back isn't exposed when he leans forward. There is plenty of room for adding additional armour in the knees and hips. The panel at the knees makes them very comfortable for riding long periods of time. And yet when he gets off the bike, he is very comfortable walking around in these jeans. A great product!

I bought this pants a few months ago and I am please with them. I am 6 feet 2 inches and 300 plus. Few things though, be careful when you are putting your legs in, your foot will get stuck at the knee protection pocket and if you are doing it too fast you will rip it from pants. I also bought a pair of denim don't know why but fitting was sooo different I sent them back for exchange.

I was not overly impressed with the pants. They are lightwieght, fit well, and would feel cool on a summer day. The only protection is in the knee area. You get what you paid for.

Steven C. from SCOTTSDALE, AZ:
Ok, this is the second Xelement item that I have ordered (returned the first item) and to sum it up, Leather Up is great to deal with, but Xelement clothing has a really strange fit. Pants are not long enough for sport or touring riding (I'm 6ft and wear a 36/38 pant with a 32 inseam) and should be at least 1" longer if not more. If you have a 29-31" inseam they would be about right. Also they are a low rise pant, which is weird for bike appearal. Stylish but not practical unless you like airflow down the back of your pants while riding. Honestly I would rather pay twice as much for a longer inseam and higher rise.

a little short in fit. Also, only padding is in knees, and jeans aren't any heavier than any other jeans. Frankly, i was a little disappointed. Price is good though and looks good.

Ronald S. from Albuquerque, NM:
Fit, style and functionality are very good. The only drawback for me was the pockets at the knees to hold armor pads. They are so loose that there is no way the armor would stay in place during a fall, which is imperative in order to provide protection. Your toes also catch in the pockets when your putting them on, somewhat of an irritation. After trying them on the first time I cut the knee armor pockets out. Which, in my case, doesn't deter from their usefulness since I ware independent knee/shin armor, which fits nicely under the pants. Other than this one shortfall, I am happy with the pants. The price is also very reasonable compared to others on the market.

They are not just for racing! If you have ever taken a corner too fast and needed to lean hard and fast... the armored knees are nice! The stretchable zones also add great comfort to long rides! (;<))

Charles R. from SPRING, TX:
Initial impressions: Look well made from outside and were comfortable first time I rode in them. I live in TX so heat and sweat usually cause problems but placement of seams in butt and crotch area mitigated most problem with pressure points. However; when I removed armour to wash them, was concerned about how pocket for armour was sewn into jeans, doesnt seem very secure or durable for long-time wear, armour kind of thin, but for price I think I can live with these issues. Minor issue, the way the pocket for the armour is sewn in makes it tricky to put pants on - sometimes the pocket would be shoved behind my foot instead of the front. So when putting on pants had to make sure to ease my foot behind the pocket, now that I know the reason why, if I am not careful I believe that one day I will rip pocket from where its attached to jeans. Will submit future review for long-term use.

Allen T. from New Windsor, MD:
These pants have a 32 inch inseam only so for me they were too short. They are small cut, compared to Levi's regular cut jeans which I wear a 36 x 34. I am 6' 3" 190Lbs. I ordered the 36 and could barely button them up. They are also hip huggers, the zipper is really short. I wish they fit though as the stretch panels in the crotch and knee area is a nice soft material and the jeans are good quality over all. I would rate higher if they made them in other lengths as not everyone wears a 32 inch inseam.

Tee W. from Portland, OR:
The pants are OK for the price but I was expecting the quality to be a little better. The interior pocket that holds the knee pads is completely loose from the denim. As you put the pants on, you have to be careful to make sure your foot doesn't catch the loose knee pad pocket. If you do, it'll rip. Other than that, the pants are fine.

Tony G. from San Antonio, TX:
Really nice pair of pants. However, the knee pads seem to ride toward the inside of the leg vs where they should ride...over the knees. I honestly doubt I will wear them with the knee pad in them...they look great without them. I normally wear a 34-35 waist, so I ordered up to the 36. Good thing I did because had I ordered the 34s, I would not have been able to fasten them. The 36s fasten more like a 35. Overall, I really like them...they would have gotten 5 Stars had the knee pads rode over my knees.

The pants are Great, I own 6 pairs, they wear Very Nice , just like jeans, to wash you just take out knee pads which I normally dont put back in... To compare to the Icons, I own 2 pair, they are heavier and bulkier which I dont like and they button up unlike these Xelements which zip up like a regular pair of jeans , the Icon Jeans do not get wore any longer since I purchased these jeans... you can buy close to 3 pair of Xelements to 1 pair of the other brand... You cannot get a better pair of riding pants or more comfortable pair than these jeans at leather up , and the cost is incredible... I cant say enough about these jeans...

Excellent pants! The armor and elastic make them extremely comfortable when riding, but "normal" looking enough, even with the armor in, to wear around everyday. Not only that, but I have never been much of a jeans guy, I never liked how they looked, but these are very flattering, I get lots of compliments! Awesome deal, excellent quality. I am going to buy more in the future for sure!
