JEFFREY B. from SALISBURY, NC:
These are much sturdier than some I looked at and almost bought. Much heavier leather, stronger zippers, and snaps. They fit well. I am 5-10 and 170 and ordered a 36. My pants are typically 34 so the one size up was perfect. They are a bit snug if I have a belt on under them, but I can take the belt off and put in on these and it's perfect (assuming the belt is long enough!) Definitely a great purchase. Compared to chaps, much more protection and they are getting good reviews from others who see them.

Robert W. from STEVENSVILLE, MT:
Rob from Stevensville, Montana I am 5'11" and 190lbs I ordered the size 38 which fit well with jeans underneath or polar fleece pants if it's really cold. The zippers are good quality but the snaps are a little on the cheap side. The leather is good quality and heavy enough. Advice to those who have never had leather pants: Wait at least 6 months of riding before you cut them to length. This will let all of the wrinkles and creases become permanent before you do that and you won't find yourself wondering how your leather pants got so short over time. If you are 5'11" or taller you probably won't need to cut them off; I didn't. Hey LeatherUp, if you want to make a good product even better, give us angled slash pockets in the front with brass zippers zipping down to close. And, in the back zips also but straight across. Not the exterior patch-ons but interior, lined. Please do away with the 3 snaps at the bottom of the legs and just carry the zippers all the way down. A rider who rides will appreciate these changes and if they cost more it will be worth it.

Matt N. from Central Point, OR:
pants fit alittle loose but i ordered 1 size larger to give me room so that one is on me. The quality of pants are very nice and would buy this brand again. Zipper and snaps seem good and sturdy. Costumer service was friendly and helpful as i ordered the wrong style the first time. Return was effortless and quick. Finally a company that cares about service, they get it!!!

Evi B. from HARRISBURG, PA:
Very nice overpants. Based on reviews I ordered 2 sizes up, but needed to exchange for just one size up. I wear 32" waist in regular jeans, and the size 34 fits perfect over jeans. The bottom leg openings could be a little larger so all the snaps can be fastened. After cutting length to size (measure this while sitting on your bike), I did need to add a snap - no big deal, but the leg openings are a bit snug over boots and it's hard to close the last snap. Overall though, the pants are perfect and are now my go to overpants when riding in the cold.

Larry Z. from EL CAJON, CA:
Bought two sizes over my normal jeans pant size and the fit over my jeans is just right. I wanted a comfortable fit...not tight and that is just how they feel. Zips and snaps are good quality and the leather finished is great. Very happy with the pair. Was easy to trim the length to my size with a straight edge for marking and a heavy pair of sharp scissors.

Really good leather. Very good fit and finish. I am tall and skinny and mostly wear the skinny jeans so I took a chance on the 34 waist (same as jeans). Absolutely perfect fit. Just right in waist, seat and even the length. Just finished 1400 mile trip with temps from the eighties to mid forties. Comfortable all the way. I would highly recommend these. Good fit, quality and price. Win, Win, Win

Eldon S. from GOSHEN, IN:
Ordered one size larger and they fit tight in the thighs. sent them back the next day ordering two sizes larger than my pant size. One week later I received the pants and a perfect fit. No charge for the re ordering. The pants are keeping me warm on the brisk mornings, I have a forty five minute ride to work on a four lane highway. Got caught in the rain one evening and was dry when I got home, unlike when I wore chaps.

I recently bought these leather pants for a 10 day ride through Colorado where temperatures reached into the low 40's plus wind chill factor while riding in high altitudes of the Rockies. The pants worked better than I expected and fit perfect. Thank you for a great product.

Phillip Q. from Grottoes , VA:
This is the second time in 10 years that I have ordered these pants and the 2nd time I've had to return them due to the waist size being FAR smaller than the size I normally wear. 10 years ago my jeans and all other pants I wore were 36's. I believe I ordered that size or a 38. They were at least 32's. Now my normal size is 38 and that is what I ordered. They were not remotely close to being 38's, 34's maybe. In all fairness I have not spoken to anyone at Leather Up but there appears to be a communication problem as to how to properly order these pants.

Completely satisfied. Ordered one size over as instructed resulted in great fit over jeans. Just returned from 600 mile trip in hot weather, some rain, and lots of bugs. Lots of protection from the elements. I especially appreciate the ease of putting them on and taking them off. Easily slip over my size 12 boots.

Nice pair of pants but I should have ordered 2 sixes larger one is a little tight. I wear 36 waist and ordered 38. I am 6 feet tall and weight around 215. The pants seem to stretch a little after wearing for a while. All in all a good heavy leather that adds a lot of protection on long rides.

Just ordered my second pair of these pants. I got fat so needed a new pair. Had the first pair for 2years and they still looked new, and I wore them a lot. I donated those pants to charity auction for a biker family, and everyone was impressed by the quality. When I get fat again, I'll buy another pair. No need for me to shop around.

These are great for those cold rides to work in the morning! Very comfortable. I'm a 38" waist, ordered a 40" and they fit great over my pants. They are a little long, so I just trimmed a little off the bottom with shears. Very satisfied.

Phillip L. from Woodbridge, VA:
Up until now, the only other leather "overpants" I knew about were made by Icon and cost $250. Then, they quit selling them. These leather overpants are exactly what I needed for cold weather commuting and come at such an affordable price that my wife bought a similar pair for herself. I usually wear 34 and bought the 36 just to be safe and they fit great over a pair of jeans or khakis. The full length side zippers make for quick on/off, but make sure you don't unzip all the way to the top or you will have to fidget to reconnect the sides.

I am very happy with the Xelement overpants. They are warm, comfortable, and easy to put on. I wear 42s, and ordered the 46s. Great fit. I loved the extra length so you can trim them. I only cut about an inch and a half off. Perfect.

Nice, Nice Nice Right outta the box!!! I'm a 34-36 and wear a good thick belt. Measured over the belt wearijg my jeans and got 39 3/4 inches. Rounded to 40 and the leathers fit perfect, not snug or tight at all but definately not loose. I'm a 31inch inseam and the legth of the leathers are long but with my boots on and sitting on the Bike they fit perfect in length for me. Just buy them, you'll like them!

Frank B. from NORTH BEND, OR:
Like other Xelement gear I have purchased, these pants are of great quality. As expected, they came with extra inseam and a freind who does leatherwork helped me tailor them. Had to cut off about 4 inches and, since he had a variety of snaps, he was able to place new ones near the bottom, plus riveted the seam. They fit perfect and I"m still astonished at the pricing of this gear, especially for the quality.

Marc R. from SAINT MARYS, GA:
Great product, the side zippers make them easy to get into even with boots. They do a great job of keeping parts warm that chaps don't, lol. i admit that they let in some cold through the side zippers but that is my only criticisim and it is minor. I ordered a 40 because the 38 was out of stock, i normally wear a 36 in jeans but found they work great as they allow me to layer thermals and insulated jeans underneath them for cold and/or wet conditions. Have ridden highway speed (70 ) with them this way and stayed comfortable down to the mid 40's. Great product, very good quality, surprisingly so given the reasonable cost. Very fast shipping, had them for about two months now and about 2500 miles. Couldn't be happier with them.

The item is excellent; however, the customer services SUCKS!! When I received the item it was too small. Contacted customer service (they need a new name) I suggested that I purchase a new set and return the ones I just received to speed up the process. Would have been a great idea, but they said they could not give me the $10 discount I received on the first set. This is just crazy! A good customer service would allow that to happen. I spoke with Frank who stated he was the General Manager for the entire Leatherup organization. I would highly recommend you find this item - just do it from a different vendor.

Very nice pants, especially for the price . . .Nicely made, supple and thick enough . . .I wear 34 ordered 36 . . . Just right without jeans underneath but too tight with mainly because of the seating position on my bike requiring more bend in the knees.. Cruiser position would have worked just right . . .I ended up returning and purchasing more expensive River Road leather pants that are cut a little larger and have knee expansion section and a perfect match my jacket. Sent from Luke's iPad

I'm very impressed with these pants. I wear 33, ordered a 36 and they fit perfect. They look long when standing but on my bike, just right. I wore them for 15 hours and 300 miles yesterda and I would recommend them to my friends. I especially like the way the zippers open up the sides so you can just step into. I don't think they would be enough in really cold weather but I don't ride in it anyway.

Pay attention to the thigh measurement. I wear a 36 pant so I ordered a 38. When they arrived I tried them on and my wife asked me if I was trying out for the lead singer of a hair band- too tight. So I exchanged them for a 40, one inch more room in the thigh. The pants just arrived today, and they fit perfectly in the thigh. Im 5'10" and weigh 200 pounds on an athletic frame. Now I just need to hem up the legs and get some suspenders.

Todd S. from Berkeley, CA:
These are great, especially for the price. They are very basic leather pants, no armor unfortunately, but I plan to add that myself. Leather seems like good heavy quality. Love that they are easy on/off over my boots. I was looking for ANYTHING that would fit me properly, as I am 6'5" and very long legged. Uncut, these are just long enough. An inch shorter and they would be too short. I wear 34x34 jeans and ordered a 36. They are snug around the legs (with slim jeans on), but I am very skinny too. Big dudes might find them too tight, so consider that when ordering. The waist is just fine, as it sits above my jeans waist anyway when riding. Overall great deal!
