miguel m. from SAINT PAUL, MN:
Great jacket and women seriously love it, sounds odd but a few random women have told me it looks good on me.. the jacket runs extremely small. Im 5'11 250lbs 50 inch chest 38 inch waist arms are around 20. I wish everyone would put down their measurements, it might have saved me the 30$ to exchange my 2xl for a 3xl which I really should have gotten a 4xl... my normal jackets and shirts are 2xl... to get a really good fit I should have ordered the 4xl but im extremely happy either way!!!!!

March 20th,2017 Gene Pittsburgh,Pa the quality of this jacket is extremely good. Very thick good quality. it is however tight i got the 5x. I'm a big guy 6'2 and 340 lbs... if there was a 6x it be perfect but to show how much i like the jacket... i didn't sent it back, i just went to the gym to lose some pounds.. i haven't rode with it yet so can't say how dourable it is.

michael w. from FOSTORIA, OH:
Overall this is a really good jacket. It is a very heavy and thick jacket. if you are looking for soft leather and easy movement then this is not the jacket for you. This jacket feels as if it can really take a pounding. Hope it doesnt happen but if I ever hit the road or anything else this jacket feels as though it will protect my torso. If by chance you ever wear this jacket in a car you will not enjoy the fit. The lower back padding pushes the collar half way up your head. It is a pretty warm jacket but you will definitely need some other cold protection in 40 degrees and colder. my only real problem with this jacket is with the fit. if you wear a 1x-2X because of a rounder belly, you will need to size it way up for comfort. I wear a 1x-2x because of a beer gut and had to get a 5x to be comfortable and not having it fit too tight around my keg. The price on this jacket is great as long as you dont get the wrong size and have to return it. a $50 dollar return shipping cost sucks. remember when sizing that it only covers the chest and the waist...not the higher beer gut so if you are built more on the round side size up to be on the safe side because there is not much give in the leather.

Michael W. from NIXA, MO:
I have owned this jacket for a year now and I would definitely buy a second one. I am 5'11" / 180lbs with a fairly fit build and I bought the large. The torso is a perfect fit for me but I would prefer the arms maybe be 1-1.5" longer as to continue covering my wrists when my arms are outstretched to the bars. In fairness though, I will admit that I have added a sort of drag bar style handlebar that requires me to reach just a bit further forward then factory position intended. I also wish the collar strap was possibly adjustable instead of just a snap as I feel it is a little bit to snug for my comfort. Overall, this jacket is very thick, heavy duty and quality assembled. The zippers are thick and strong and the vents work pretty well for the warmer days. Mine was pretty stiff when I first got it but now is softening up nicely to a custom fit the more I wear it. I also get tons of compliments on the way it looks when wearing it. Great product Leather up! I love it and you can't beat the price!

Make sure you read reviews before ordering as Jacket is great but runs small in size. Ordered a Medium as that is the size my son usually wears, but when it came it was way too small across the upper back from shoulder to shoulder, wish they had that measurement in the diagram. The cost of shipping it back to leather up from N.J. was 38.00! Customer service was great and the exchange was processed quickly . Had to order him an extra large and it fit perfect and looks great!!

Awesome jacket I am 5'6" 44" chest 32" waist, I got the Large and had to return for XL could not touch palms in front of myself with only a tank top on not even a shirt. Great quality jacket hopefully XL will let me wear hooded sweatshirt. Be wise on selection UPS charged me 37 to ship back for exchange should have just kept sold bought an XL for myself LOL.

John K. from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
This jacket runs size or two smaller, so get a size or 2 bigger of what you normally wear. Im 6' 3" 235 lbs medium build, long arms and I went with XXL since chart indicated that the sleeves were same length from XL to 5XL. The jacket fits slightly tight on forearms and the neck area, which hopefully stretches because do not want to exchange for larger size. As the jacket goes, it is really nice and we'll made armored motorcycle leather jacket that you would expect pay at lot more. The sleeves feel short on my long arms especially when you lift your arms to hold the grips but gauntlet gloves should help make up the difference. It is well insulated to wear in 30 degree temperature with thermal shirt and even in 70 degree temperature without taking the liner off. Even though feels heavy and tight in few areas but it does also make you feel like you are wearing an armor and you well protected. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone, just take your time choosing right size.

My first motorcycle jacket and I went with this one based on the reviews, its looks, style, pockets and protection. I am a stocky 5'6" 195lbs, 46" chest, 36" waist. Went with the XL. Slight tightness in the elbows but I expect that can loosen a little. Otherwise, waist and torso fit are perfect. As others have stated, feel I got a lot for the price and am secure with the protection this jacket provides. Have ridden in 30 degrees and was warm.

Size fits true. No need to order up at all. The Jacket is a bit stiff at first due to the armor but once this gets worked in its not to bad. The vents on this are great, air flows in and out well. The removable lining is not going to help with warmth however... its the most thin vest zip in lining ever. Just wear a heavier shirt under if you need more warmth. Solid buy for the Price

This is a heavy & hot jacket. Even with the liner out. Speaking of which, the FIRST time i removed the liner, the snap at the wrist came off. I sewed it back on along with the other side just to be sure. Armour in all the right places. keep in mind, this stuff is all cheap, so little modifications will need to be made.

I was wearing this jacket when I recently went down. It held up pretty well except for the vents. They got torn wide open. and exposed. I ended up with a rashed upper arm because of it and some stitches in my elbow.

Wesley Y. from TOLAR, TX:
I have had this jacket for a few months now and have used it in temps in the 40s to 80s. It is a heavy, well made jacket and keeps you warm on cold rides and can be vented to keep you reasonably cool on warm days. The liner is easily removable for warm weather. I hope I never have to test the armor but feel better about riding with it on. As for durability a few months is not enough time. I have a traditional motorcycle jacket still in good shape from the 70s that my grandfather gave me. So if taken care of a good leather jacket should last decades. I would recommend this jacket to a friend.

AWESOME Jacket AND super quick delivery - even during the Holidays!! I live in the SF Bay Area, and even ordering it on Saturday morning, it was here on Monday!! I have yet to try this jacket on a ride (bad weather lately!), but the quality of the leather and fit are excellent. I'm 5'7" with a 40" chest athletic built (meaning no beer belly!), and depending on what I buy and which brand it is from I normally buy a large... For this jacket I order the MEDIUM. It is a little roomy with just a T-shirt under it, but my plan was to wear it in the colder days with a sweatshirt/hoodie underneath it - PERFECT FIT! Can't wait for a better/dry day so I can try it out on a ride. Hope this review helps some of you out there. Ride safely! P.S.: Since I just got this jacket, I obviously can't speak for durability, but the initial impression it seems it is build with good/quality materials and I'm betting it will last a very long time!

Xelement clothing tends to run on the small side. With that in mind I placed my order for a 2XL and it fits my 6 fooot 200 lb frame just fine. Jacket is well make and should serve me well for many years. Thank you.

I'm 5'10" 185 lbs with no belly and measured for a Medium. I ordered a Large and it fits well in the torso and back but is short in the sleeves. Too short to wear on my bike so I returned it. If the sleeves were longer and were not so wide in the opening around your wrist I would have kept the jacket. I even took out the armor and liner to see if it would allow the sleeves to come down lower when on my bike but it didn't help. It is a great jacket if you don't have long arms.

I am very pleased with this purchase and this product overall. I'm a big guy 6 2 typically wear 2x in most clothes & jackets. This does run a little on the shorter side and the waistband happens to be a little higher than I would typically wear, but other than it running slightly small I'm extremely happy with the quality comfort and fit of the 5x. Not sure you'll find as sharp looking and feature full motorcycle jacket for this price.

John M. from Wylie, TX:
Just rec'd this jacket prepping for the cold weather. I am a pretty picky person and this is the first item I have ordered from Leatherup so I was skeptical about the quality at this price point. When I rec'd the package and opened it I was extremely surprised to say the least. Jacket is very heavy with thick durable leather. Zippers and snaps all seem pretty heavy duty but only time will tell. Liner and zip out are both very nice and constructed well and all the features are just as stated in the item description. I'm 5' 7" and 180 lbs so I opted for the large and it fits like a glove. You are not going to find a jacket constructed this well at this price point period so if you have any reserves about ordering one I would just go ahead and pull the trigger...you'll be pleasantly surprised as I was. Going to be ordering gloves & chaps for my girl next. Wish I would have gotten all my leather from here. MoCo is way to expensive and this just goes to show that you can still get a good deal out there. Props to Leatherup for selling affordable gear that's also made well.

Terry S. from WILMETTE, IL:
A pretty nice jacket for the price, and the leather and zippers appear to be reasonable quality items... BUT...I have a few issues. It came with a small tear in the leather on the right arm near the elbow. Not worth paying to return for a replacement but a bummer none the less on a new jacket. The sleeves are a bit short for me and if I went from a L to an XL to get longer sleeves I'm sure the body would be way too big for my 5'11" 175 pound build since it's already a bit big in the belly. Lastly I feel the arm zippers are on the wrong side of the sleeve. When in riding position the zipper pull is lying on the back of my hand instead of being underneath on the inside of my wrist like every other jacket I've had. Also the sleeves are so large at the opening that even when zipped closed I can easily pull my hand thru. I would prefer it fit a bit tighter at the wrist. My gauntlet gloves barely go over the sleeves and without gauntlets the wind would be blowing right up the sleeve.

Jacket fits a little snug as it should - I was involved in a almost fatal accident 9/2014 with wife on board my Harley (Hit by a car traveling 60 mph) on the road and I was wearing this jacket only injury up top was a broken shoulder on the side I was hit - the jacket protected my whole upper body from any broken ribs, chest breaks, arms or other pucntures outside the shoulder injury on the side strucked by the car!! Just purchased another back out there!! Thanks Xelement!!!

This is a serious jacket, nice thick leather that broke in surprisingly quick. I definitely feel well protected wearing it. The only downside is that the chemicals they use to either tan, or preserve the leather smells like rotten fish. So expect to air the jacket out before wearing around people. As for fit, I am 6' 4" 190 lbs and the XL fits perfectly.

Just got the jacket. I'm 5'10 180 lbs. 42inch chest. The large fits like a dream even with a thick sweat shirt. Super qualitty. Just gotta say I'm super stoked!! Stylish too. Thanks for a great jacket at a great price!!! Leather up has my business for sure! Not sure about the durability, the leather seems thick, and the zippers are all metal, I'm sure it'll hold up. The only thing I would ask for is more inside pockets. Overall great jacket!

This jacket is awesome! Jacket is heavy, quality leather with ykk zippers which is a big plus and is very comfortable with or without the liner. The vents work great to cool you down on the warmer days. I ordered the medium at first and was a little too big in the chest area so I exchanged for the small which fits great. I'm 5'8" 155 lbs and I could wear the medium but I like my jackets a little more on th snug side. Great product at a great price and great customer service. I will definitely order from leatherup again.

Dan W. from Beaver Dam, WI:
I was nervous about buying a jacket online - I'm 5'7" and 145 lbs. and I always have a hard time shopping for clothes. I ordered the Medium and I am more than pleased - it fits almost perfectly. The sleeves are tight and slightly short with my arms extended, but neither one is a big deal: the leather will stretch and I have gauntlets to go over the sleeves. I am sure a large would have been too big and a small too tight. I look like I could audition for the Road Warrior when wearing this jacket: it looks tough on me! Definitely padded and armored. The finish is a dull black, the zippers are heavy and overall the jacket seems to be of good quality. My only complaint would be the pockets: it could use one or two more. I am satisfied with my purchase!

It is impossible to overstate just how amazing this jacket is for the price. Looks, feels, and rides like a $400 jacket. The leather is extremely thick and you can tell how serious the construction is just by the weight when you pick it up. Zippers are large, heavy metal. Fit is neither small nor large, though I took the liner out - the jacket is so heavy I don't know when I would ever need it, maybe below freezing. I have no qualms trusting my skin to this piece of gear. Thanks LeatherUp!

I am 6' and 220lbs. I ordered a XXL. Stocky build as I work out daily. The jacket is of superior quality and heavy. I thought it was tight at first, but you need to break it in a little. It is suppose to be fitting. You do not want loose clothing if you should ever fall. Plenty of compliments on this jacket. Comes with a zip out liner. Local stores had similar quality jackets for $400.

I'm 5' 11"s with a 39-40" chest weight 165-very athletic. I'm 25.5"s from shoulder to end of wrist. I bought the LARGE for winter riding with layers underneath. It fits great for this purpose. the sleeves are about perfect. It fits a bit large by itself, especially the neck area. One thing about this coat, if you want protection- IT'S GOT IT! ...Maybe even a little too much..lol The thick back pad takes up alot of space in the shoulder area when you reach out, and the armor stays in place! The zippers are ecellent quality. All in all, for the price, this is an OUTSTANDING JACKET! Nit Picks: The zippers for the vents let in a bit of cold, but not bad. The inner liner is about worthless, and it's not full length in the sleeves. In warmer weather, The coat does flow a decent amount of air with the vents unzipped, but I have to make sure to open the back vents, otherwise this coat really balloons, and the collar starts to choke me. The 3 pockets aren't great, but good enough. I'm happy with it!

This jacket is great. I'm 5',7" 163lbs and the med. fit well. It is rather snug but it is supposed to be that way for the proper protection. Right now it is still stiff because it is new, when it breaks in it will be much more comfortable. I'm in the process of "beating it up" to make it softer. Removing the armor and Putting it in the dryer with no heat (or low heat) several times is helping break it in along with sitting on it and a quality leather conditioner . There are lots of tips online on breaking in leathers. This is a AWSOME jacket at a GREAT price!

Great value, though I have a few problems with it. I've got large, thick, athletic build. I'm 6'0 and 210 lbs, most of it on top. I ordered an XL The jacket is a good fit everywhere except the forearms. It's supposed to be tight, but I can't fit a sweater under it. For the average person, it should be absolutely perfect. Great wind protection, feels very tough and the leather seems to be holding up well. I've ridden it so far in everything from 20 degree F weather to 90 degree F and loved it all along. My only real complaint with the jacket itself is the zippers. More than once, a couple of the zippers have popped open and I've had to screw with them to get them tracked properly again.

Daniel W. from COLUMBIA, SC:
This jacket is an outstanding value! Nice thick leather and the fit is really good. I am 5'11' and ordered the LG and the fit is snug, just like it is supposed to be. A jacket like this is not meant to be baggy. The only problem I have is the velcro waist adjustment straps. They only allow a small bit of adjustment - and the jacket is loose at the very bottom. If you puull those straps too much you'll have the straps flapping in the wind. I'll get them fixed. The only addition I would make is to put a zipper or velcro on the inside pocket, so you don't have things falling out. But - - - The jacket is amazing for $130! I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Very nice jacket for the price. I'm 5'9" 155 lbs with a 40 inch chest and bought the medium and the fit was perfect. Jacket has plenty of armor/padding and the leather is surprisingly thick, especially considering how little it costs. I live in Louisiana and I found the vents to work quite well in 85F~ temps, but I haven't had a chance to try it during the blazing summer sun. I'm sure it would be tolerable as long as you kept moving.

Brady A. from RALEIGH, NC:
Good jacket, one of the top zippers was off and wouldn't stay closed when i got it. Took a pair of plyers to it and got it set right though. Very heavy and stiff jacket all in all. Feels like I could get hit by train and be totally alright, not a jacket to wear once you get off the bike however, but that might change after it gets broken in. I'm 6'2" and 195 lbs with a slim waist, got the XL and it fits great in the arms but is fairlly large in the torso, but I feel like that will allow me to layer up a lot in the winter. All in all a killer deal for the money.

This is my first leather motorcycle jacket and it's great! The quality of the leather is outstanding and the workmanship is worth much more than $130.00. I am 5'10", 205 lbs. I ordered 2XL. I normally wear XL, but thanks to the earlier reviewers, I've chosen wisely. The jacket needs some wearing as it is somewhat stiff, but does not affect the ride in any adverse way at all. Great protection from the wind at ambient temps of 40-45 degrees. I've worn it on days at 70 degrees, and the vents on the jacket did tbeir jobs superbly. My only and small not so favorable comment is the inside pocket does not have a velcro or zipper. Just not comfortable putting anything in there only to find out it slip out during the ride. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Jeff W. from CENTRALIA, MO:
Works like it's supposed to. I bought this jacket last Spring to wear on my Victory Kingpin. Recently I was involved in an accident when a deer ran out in front of me before I could react. Needless to say, I took a little spill in the ditch. Part of the deer hit me in the chest (I know because there were parts of it stuck there), but the jacket suffered not a scratch, and other than being sore, I'm fine.
