Jay K. from DENTON, TX:
This is my second x-elements jacket. I lost 60 lbs so the first one does not fit anymore. This one does not fit correctly. I have a 47 chest and the XL is perfect through the body. I like mine to fit a bit snugly in the chest. But the collar is not cut correctly. It rides way up and acts like a ram air scoop. It might not have if I had ordered a size larger but then the body would be too loose. I normally wear an xl shirt and jacket and I can always fit into off the rack clothing just fine. The quality is just as good as my first jacket. I might order one in a larger size but will probably order another brand next time.

J. G. from ALAMOGORDO, NM:
this is the second purchase i've made of this jacket, the first one was too small and i did not have the patience to wait for the return trip. first off, buy a size up. period. buy a size up. this is an excelent jacket, great weight, zipout liner is warm, elastic in LEFT SIDE INSIDE CHEST POCKET for a firearm AND extra magazine. fantastic jacket, same thing retails for 499 on other websites. no look cooler than this brown leather retro style jacket. exactly what i was after.

An excellent rating in all areas except fit which I gave 4 stars due to the sizing running a little small. I had to exchange the 2xl for a 3xl I,m 6'4' 220 lbs and the 3xl fits just perfect, I was very happy with the exchange process and am over all very happy with the jacket, Thanks leather up for another home run!!!

I have been wanting a nice leather jacket for a while to use while riding. Didn't have to much money to spend, saw this one and it a good price, and now that I've got it it's become my favorite jacket in my closet.

It is a good looking jacket. Color is very dark brown. Snaps are very tight and pulling on them might tear them from leather. Fit is tight, especially in sleeves. Good jacket for value.

Great jacket! Good fit using available charts. 6' and 250lbs 4XL fits good. Excellent value, I have seen similar jackets retailing for 3 times or more the cost. Won't hesitate to order again from LeatherUp.

DAVID M. from ALLISON PARK, PA:
This is a very nice jacket. I wear a 3X and purchased a 4X. The 4X was a decent fit. The jacket is thick and heavy. The zip out liner is paper thin. This has the traditional pocket layout. I wanted the classic police layout with the small snap "ticket book pocket" in front. Has the belt and buckle. Nice dark brown color. I ride a rice burner now so I like the color. Elastic gun holster in pocket with what I think is a spare mag holder. Jacket will save your skin if you go down. I need to lose a little weight to get it to zip up so I should be motivated. Nice jacket for the money.

Dan from Roseville,CA This is a great coat for the money. The leather is nice and the overall appearance is that of a good spring to summer leather coat, I have other heavy leather jackets and although this one appears to bit lighter, I am by no means disappointed. I would buy this coat again in a minute and would recommend it as well. The dark brown retro leather is perfoerct with lots of pockets outside adn in, this coat is awesome. It is well worth it for anyone coonsidering a nice leather jacket for a moderate cost.

A lot of jacket for the price paid, a great deal. this is a cool looking jacket and fit me perfectly. I ordered a XL and it fits great. I normally take a men's L or 44 and took a chance on ordering a XL. Made the right choice. Only thing is that my jacket is darker than expected, it is very dark brown, but that's not a problem.

Dale F. from COTTAGE GROVE, OR:
I like the zipper pockets on the front of the jacket, the small one I use for my pocket knife, and the upper one I use for a telescoping mirror that I use to check the sight gage on the oil level. The quality of the jacket is great, I would like the color a little lighter brown, but I am not complaining, the leather looks and feels fine. I like the belt, it draws in the waist and keeps the wind from blowing up the jacket on rides. I only wear the jacket when on my motorcycle. I plan to put mink oil on the jacket to make it water proof. It has some oil already I think, but I mink oiled my other jacket, and it has a wonderful supplemess from the mink oil. It rains a lot in Oregon, so having it water proof is a good idea, the mink oil is only about $8.00 a bottle and worth it to preserve the leather. I am a loyal leatherup customer, I am happy with my purchase, and will order again from Leatherup.com.

What a great classic looking jacket. Fits right in with my old looking Harley Iron. I got a half helmet some goggles and went back to the 1940s. Already got lots of compliments on it. Easily adjusts to fit practically any body shape. Tough good looking hide that I think would help reduce any road rash quite effectively. Heck I look as good as Marlon Brando..LOL

Ok this jacket is fan-freakin-tastric. Its heavy, strong and keeps me warm in temps below well 30 degrees. My favorite thing is the color. It is not standard black and is quite unique. Im pretty much a badass but Im even more so in this jacket!

harlow n. from TALLAHASSEE, FL:
Great jacket for the price. Many pockets are so handy for the things you must carry. The zip out liner makes this jacket ideal for a Dixie boy with warm and cooler weather. Worn twice since purchase and have two compliments on it. The brown color is a nice change from black. I just ordered your bomber Vietnam jacket in black so I have nothing against it just tired of it myself. But this jacket keeps what you want to get at up front and what you don't need as much inside. The two gun compartments are cool. Overall this is a great jacket for a little money. I did put waterproofing "mink oil" on it as I do all my leather products and now the jacket is way cool.

David T. from JACKSON HTS, NY:
For both features and "build" quality, it's really hard to beat this jacket at more than twice the price. For example, you can get a Schott jacket model 626 for $590 (that's the current Schott website price), and, yes, that Schott is made of cow leather and this Xelement is buffalo leather, but the quality of this buffalo leather is excellent (the "finish" or the treatment on this buffalo leather is really good -- I suppose that's why they call it "premium" -- I really do like the quality of the leather in this jacket. It's tough as nails and rain beads up and falls off it like BB's, and it's actually comfortable right out of the box). Another thing is this Xelement jacket comes with gussets on the sleeves, where the zipper is -- that's something that I understand is not true with the Schott model 626. Yes, the Schott does have zippers on the sleeves, but apparently there aren't any gussets underneath those zippers, so the zippers are just ornaments (I don't own a Schott, I'm basing this on what a Schott customer who did buy this jacket reported about it on the Schott website). Another thing is the Schott 626 doesn't come with a removable liner, like this Xelement does. I've just been comparing this Xelement with one model of a Schott jacket, but I compared features with other manufacturers's jacekets also. For example, Hillside makes some really good jackets -- they've got what they call a Brown D Horsehide motorcycle jacket, which looks like a fine jacket indeed, although it costs $549.00 (that's their current website price), but despite the apparent quality of this jacket (at more than twice the price of this Xelement), it is not what I would consider a "classic" motorcycle jacket. For one thing, the zippers and the pockets and everything are all in odd places here and there on the front of that jacket. Basically, the bottom line is this: If you're looking for a classic, tough, hardworking, old-school motorcycle jacket, this will fill the bill and then some. Now, saying all that, I would add that this jacket is not perfect. No, no, no. For one thing, the zipper was really sticky, which meant I had to take a bar of soap and run it up and down that zipper a few times. Another thing is that on the belt of this jacket, the inside edges of the grommets are really rough. I mean it. Really rough. So you'll have to be careful about that when you put it on. Other than that, I can't think of one single negative thing to say about this jacket. So great job, Xelement. And great job, LeatherUp. Here's to you both.

The jacket is very nice and heavy leather. I wear a 46 - 48 and ordered a xl. It fit like a medium. I returned it for a 3x and it fits perfect. The cut of the jacket is a little narrow in the shoulders but i am very satisfied. The sleeves are also a little tight. I hope this helps.

William H. from BALDWINSVILLE, NY:
These jackets are very HEAVY and run small. I wear a 46 in a suit coat and ordered the 2XL and the fit isn't as roomy as I'd like. The price is right, but I worry about the durability of the product since I had one of the interior buttons that holds the liner close to the sleeve openings fall off on my first test fit straight out of the box. I would have never known if I hadn't later found the button laying on the floor. This isn't a big deal since I'll probably never remove the liner and will likely only use the jacket to ride in cold weather. Still, I've got jackets that are 30 years old (from Schott) that have yet to have something fall off of them - of course I think that jacket cost me $200 30 years ago too! Not bad for the price, and if this is the worst that happens to the jacket hardware, I'd take that deal all day and all night long. Ride on.

Bill R. from SACO, ME:
The jacket is great. the fit is nice although the sleeves could be a little looser at the wrist. After all, I am not a sheep herder from Pakistan I work construction my wrists are bigger. The zip out quiletd liner isn't lined, and I wish the belt could be removed, I never use it, but aside from that the jacket and workmanship are excellent. I love the jacket and will buy jackets from this site again.

Charles H. from DICKINSON, TX:
This is a very nice jacket for the money. Leather is not quite as thick as a more costly jacket. The left sleeve lining hangs below the jacket on the outer part of my wrist. But heck I'll pay a few bucks and have that sewn up. Other than that....very nice. I'm happy.

Jess J. from Lawson, MO:
I bought this jacket in Sept 2010. It's a great Jacket and looks good. The only problem I had was the Liner was to tight and ripped on time while I was putting it on. I took it to a Seamstress and she repaired it by putting a little more fabric in it and everything is fine. I took a trip to Angel Fire New Mexico and put 1600 miles on my bike and the Jacket kept me dry and warm. I also bought chaps from Leatherup and they made a big difference in the ride as well. I have ordered several items since and plan to keep buying as the need arises. The only reason for the Four stars was the tear in the lining

An excellent jacket for 100bucks,as thick and heavy as my old Lesco. All around a quality, solid jacket that will do what it's meant to,cut the wind and keep the gravel out of your hide. It's cut pretty snug,I'm 6'1"-215,a 2xl fits like it was tailored.I'd guess it'll stretch out a little, perfect,so far with just a t-shirt.I'm keeping it as a great summer jacket.Coudn't be happier, all around, thanks LU !

Mike K. from SAINT PAUL, MN:
Beautiful jacket. Absolutely no complaints. The picture is a perfect representation of the look and you won't be disappointed about the quaility. There is one thing to remember, these jackets are small as compared to the norm. In my case, I'm 6"1" and weigh 240 lb's (ok, so I like a few beers now and then) and I ordered a 2XL which was way to small. (shoulders and sleeve length) I used the enclosed "return" form and re-ordered a 4XL. I live in Minnesota and the return process took 8 WORKING days "start to finish" and that's not bad since Leatherup is in California. I'm a happy camper and just waiting for the snow to melt so I can get out riding.

Dale from CHRISTCHURCH, VA:
I'm a pretty standard medium in most stuff and the medium with this jacket fit fine. Snug, but fine... the arms are a bit tight, I think they will loosen up with use. I rode with in 38 degree wx and a fairly strong wind; I don't have a windshield. With a goose down sweater underneath I did not get too cold. Two things; the epaulets are a bit flappy (funky) - I had to modify those. The pockets are deep enough to carry pool cues - I had to modify those. When the jacket is zipped all the way up, the upper collar pulls funny on the snaps. This also leave a gap right at the xyphoid (collarbone area) that funnels cold air right into the jacket. I cut a piece of closed cell foam to make up this gap; works pretty good, The jacket is very heavy leather, and appears to be good quality especially for the price. Color is perfect. I would say; buy it, you'll love it, but be prepared to modify some small things.

Perfect jacket. slimming and tough looking. it fits a tiny bit tight at first but after a couple weeks it loosens just a touch and the fit is absolutely perfect. cut high, it falls right at the wasteband, as most biker jackets do. it is very HEAVY. GREAT QUALITY LEATHER. im amazed it sells for only a hundred bucks. you MUST get this jacket.

Brian U. from Holbrook, NY:
Bought this Jacket last year and has seen lots of use since. I have to say its taken a beating and held up well. The jacket fits snug to your arms and around your wrists. It is very warm with the liner zippered. The exterior is very durable, the leather is very heavy. The interior without the liner could be better, I have a rip near the underarm area because the material is light and the seams did not hold well. Lots of pockets in the right places. This jacket is terrific for fall, winter, spring, but a little heavy for summer. A terrific deal for the price and has the classic look from the early 1900s.

Great jacket to start with. After sending back a large pair or Chaps I was worried about the Large Jacket. After receiving the Large jacket I feel the Medium would have be tight and maybe even short in sleeves. Now as for Distressed Leather...The jacket looks pretty new right out of the box. After some light sanding and polishing with Scubbie pads I have a Vintage looking jacket that fits well.

I received my jacket vey quickly. I immediately tried it on a ride. Then another. Good quality. Location of pockets and zippers are good. I normally wear an XL and that is what I bought (5'10; 220lbs). Fits good...actually streached a little...which was offset by the side ties. Color is a deep dark coffee brown. I like the brass snaps. Looks stylish enough to wear as 'normal' coat....which I do. Shoulders are a little broadcut, but will be OK with wear-in. Good buy...good value. BUY IT!!! Thanx Leatherup!! R.
