I just ordered my chaps and received them in 2 days, They fit great. The size was spot on, plus I didn't have to have them altered at all. Great product and a great price.

They were a little larger than I expected by have a takeup tie place in the middle back so I cinched them up and they're easy on, off and I love the button snaps and great feel. Quite pleased!

Randall W. from Olathe, KS:
Five stars for Xelement products! These chaps are very high quality and fit great. I ordered my jeans waist size and they fit well over my jeans. My wife also ordered a pair. Very easy to cut to length to fit you. Heavy zippers, and the elastic and zip-expansion in the thighs will help until they break in and stretch a little. Look around and you won't find prices this good with this quality anywhere.

Rick F. from SPARTANBURG, SC:
High quality leather and zippers. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I used the size chart to determine my size. My thigh at it's largest point is 28". The thigh fit is excellent and the waist is adjustable so the overall fit is excellent. As you would expect the length has to be cut to your particular inseam length. This was an excellent purchase and I think anyone wanting this style of leg protection would be pleased.

First pair of leathers, seems to fit well and sit well. I would like to get them properly hemmed but they're better than the textile chaps I have. Wouldn't change a thing, except maybe some visibility piping sewn into the legs?

Jeffrey W. from TREASURE IS, FL:
Surprisingly great value. With having only a 29-inch inseam, I had to take them to the local seamstress who charged me $42 for simply cutting off the ends of the legs and did not hem it. I could have done that myself. Not a slam of course for these chaps, but my own stupidity for not clarifying with the seamstress what she was going to do.

DOUGLAS R. from DAPHNE, AL:
I just bought a Harley Softail Heritage Classic, and have been purchasing clothing to wear in the winter months. I'm new to Leatherup, and wish I'd discovered them earlier.... could have saved a lot of $$, as I've been paying the premium prices for authentic Harley gear. I'm finding that the Leatherup quality is very good. The chaps I purchased fit well, have a very high quality leather, and the price is unbelievably low. What a steal!

Karen M. from LONG BEACH, MS:
This is my first pair of chaps. I purchased them to wear over my shorts so that I can ride my Harley to work. I must say, these are perfect!!! They are constructed with a thick leather and made with great quality. I am not hesitate to wear these on top of my shorts at all. They are not hemmed and I don't want them hemmed. They look and feel great. This was my first purchase from Leatherup.com and I'm looking forward to many more purchases.

David C. from Otsego, MI:
I was a little skeptical given the price. My last pair I had for 30 years and they were a swap meet purchase from a local craftsman, but they'd seen their day. So I expected no name zippers and cheaper hardware, but I was pleasantly surprised by the YKK zippers. The zipper in the thigh and elastic panels are well done, and a relief for a guy my age, so I really like the fit. Some of the eyelets are a little on the low end side, but all have stayed in place, as have the snaps. Overall a comfortable pair of chaps and a great value.

I bought these for my husband. He looks super hot in these chaps! He felt he didn't need them, hence him not ever buying a pair for himself. We took a couple hour test drive, in February, in the mountains. He was very impressed with how they kept him warm! Very happy with my purchase.

Excellent fit, quality, & price. Compared to other chaps I've owned in the past, these are head & shoulders above all of them. I ware 36" jeans & ordered size 36 chaps & they were a perfect fit. I had them cut off & hemmed for my leg length since I'm 5'9" tall & only have 29" legs, plus added another belt loop & they are a top notch pair of chaps.

I've only had these chaps for a month but have worn them a handful of times. They arrived very quickly, like usual from Leatherup. The chaps seem to be of good quality leather with a lot of great features. The back thigh zipper is nice if you need a little extra room while walking or sitting. The elastic inner thigh makes these very comfortable all the time. Easily trimmed to length. Comes with extra snaps also. Excellent product so far.

Tom H. from Seward, NE:
Only had them for a month and a half. Have worn them for over 2000 miles. Great chaps. Two minor issues that would not prevent me from buying them again. One of the snaps at the bottom broke but was easily replaced. The inside seam at the bottom needed stitching to prevent unraveling when they were trimmed to fit. Put a rivet in it and was good to go. The side pocket on the left side is small but put a snap on it and now everything stays in the pocket. Would recommend them to others.

I have not had any fitting issues and am now awaiting some boots that should arrive next week. Leatherup is a great company delivering quality leather products.

very soft, comfortable and well made chaps. i already owned the matching cut/vest. the belt and buckle are a let down though. i anticipate having to fix it within a year. use the thigh measurements, more than the waist measurements. Measure your thighs with your jeans on and dont wrap the measuring tape tightly. pay for upgraded shipping, or FedEx will walk it to your house from California. seriously, 11 days cali to illinois.

Stephen I. from Statesboro, GA:
I purchased these in October. They are very warm to ride in and that's due to the lining in them. It says fully lined, but the lining only goes down to the zipper ending and where the snaps begin. They do it like this because you can trim the bottom of each leg to fit your inseam, if they lined it all the way down you would have to hem the bottom of each leg or the lining would fray and tear. Leather is not the easiest to sew and would be a pain to do. I used the measurement chart and it fit exaxctly perfect and after I trimmed each leg to my length - perfect! I'm 5'10" and 215, not real stout, and a 36" fit me perfect, especially in the legs. If I want it tighter, I zip up the back on the thigh and unzip it to loosen it up some. The leather is very soft, but tough, these should last me many years. Oh, and I've had no problem with the buckle. The zippers on each leg is very sturdy and strong - same with the snaps. They're not junky or flimsy crap. You won't be disappointed buying these, and the price is right as well! I used a coupon code when I bought these and that helped a bunch, basically got free shiping. Thanks LeatherUp for a great pair of chaps!

I purchased these about three weeks ago and I have used them on two rides. These were purchased to replace a previous pair that seemed to have shrunk when I turned off the light in the closet. Lol. These chaps were true to fit, soft, confortable and affordable. I have purchased from Leatherup previously and have always been impressed with their service and shipping.

Just bought a pair for me and my wife. Hers fit good. Mine were way too small in the thighs. Couldn't get the back zipper zipped and I'm of normal build, 5'11'', 196#. Would certainly not consider my thighs large. The waist fit fine on the 3rd loop. Had to ship back at my cost which is a bummer because that just eliminated the nice price and savings. Order carefully.

Much like the Xelement vented cool rider leather jacket that I bought from LeatherUp, these lined chaps are every bit as good if not better than anything H-D sells for 3-4 times the money. The dual comfort feature of elasticized and zippered thigh portions of the chaps was the deal maker for me...as well as the astonishingly low price. Heavy weight leather, excellent fit and heavy duty zippers and snaps all make these chaps an excellent addition to my comfortable and protective gear. Way to go, LeatherUp!!

I purchased these chaps and was worried about the fit. I am 6 foot and weigh 203 with a 35 inch waist . I ordered the 36 and they fit great. Even the length was OK and I do not have to trim them down. There is room to adjust the belt smaller or larger. The quality of the leather is top notch. Thanks Leather Up for another great item with quick delivery. These chaps are five star quality.

CARL B. from FALL RIVER, MA:
JUST PURCHASED THESE AND HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO USE THEM YET AS OUR WEATHER HAS STILL BEEN PRETTY WARM. TRIED THEM ON AND THE FIT WAS PERFECT( I'M A BIG GUY WITH LARGE THIGHS AND THERE WAS PLENTY OF ROOM EVEN WITH A HEAVE PAIR OF JEANS ON.) BEING 6'3" TALL ..THERE WAS STILL AN AMPLE AMOUNT OF LENGTH TO THESE CHAPS AND I ENDED TRIMMING OFF ABOUT 2 INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM FOR A PERFECT FIT. GREAT QUALITY AND VALUE FOR THE PRICE COMPARED TO OTHER CHAPS I WAS LOOKING AT WHICH WERE DOUBLE THE PRICE AND MORE!! LIKE THE EXPANDABLE PANEL IN THE FRONT AND THE ZIPPER ON THE BACK OF THE THIGH WHICH ALLOWS FOR MORE ADJUSTMENT. GREAT PAIR OF CHAPS!! ( EVEN THOUGH THE BELT BUCKLE IS A LITTLE FLIMSY AND COULD USE AN UPGRADE TO A MORE STURDY ONE.. BUT OVERALL I GIVE THEM 5 STARS!!

Quality chaps with 2 nit-picky complaints.. 1. Under features they are listed as "fully" lined but the lining (which is pointless/useless) only goes as far as the ones my friend got that are only lined to the knee from Xelement. 2. The legs are a little tight compared to the perfect fit in the waist, a little tight but definitely useable.

Darren S. from ELK CREEK, VA:
I purchased these in April and wanted to wear them a while before reviewing them here. When I first received them, I could tell I had spent my money well. I am 5'10" 220 lbs and wear a 36 waist. I ordered these chaps in a 40 waist, and I'm glad I did. They are easily adjustable if you order them too big (which you need to do so they will fit over your pants properly). They have a lace on the back which allows you to bring them in about an inch if you re-lace it. I'm on the last belt hole, which is fine with me. I trimmed the legs to match my inseam and they look and feel like a custom-tailored set of leathers. The zippers are heavy duty and the leather quality is exceptional. I would recommend these to any biker looking for a good set of chaps. They have made riding on cool Appalachian mornings much more comfortable! Great job Leather Up!
