Christopher S. from RIVERVIEW, FL:
I ordered this in preparation for spring summer riding here in Florida, as my armored textile jacket is way too hot. I am 6'3", 280#, and I kind of have an idea of what sizes I wear.I ordered this in a 3XL, as my shirts are all 2XL, and my Bilt jackets are both 3XL. I wanted it slightly loose to allow free range of movement. It was very tight across the shoulders and chest, and the sleeves fell 2" above my wrist bone. This HAS to be a mislabeled jacket. Now I get to enjoy paying return shipping for something ridiculously undersized.

Daniel P. H. from FARMINGDALE, NY:
Great jacket for the money. It fits well but the collar is a little small, but who closes the collar anyway? I like having the armor in a mesh jacket. I feel safer when I am weaing my other armored jacket but it is too hot for the summer. This fits the bill perfectly.

Perfect jacket for hot rides. worth twice the price. I was worried that it would be too short, but it fits to my body very well, I am 6'5" and 280. I bought my wife the womans version and she is petit and she loves hers too.

I purchased this jacket because I live in a very hot environment. It works perfect for this weather. It keeps me nice and cool while still being durable. A much better price here than you could find anywhere. I recommend this jacket to anyone who needs a light but durable jacket for the summer.

Allen H. from MAYBROOK, NY:
This is a good basic jacket. The Pros...it breathes very very well It was 90 today and sunny and when moving the jacket allowed sufficient air such that I very comfortable. When stopped at a light it gets a little warm but I never broke a sweat. It comes with elbow, shoulder, and back pads and feels like a jacket well put together. Good hearty zipper and Velcro. Waist, chest, and arms adjustments, and a crew neck fit at the collar. The jacket runs a little small. I stand 6'3" 225 lbs so I ordered the XXL. I will be able to wear a fleece and fleece lined windbreaker underneath but not much else. Arm length is sufficient. Cons...The jacket is a little short as it just makes it over the top of my riding pants but is still comfortable. The arm adjustments are necessary as the elbow pads don't really line up that well. The jacket feels constructed well enough. The material is a weave and will Frey easily if caught on a rough surface or especially against Velcro not enough to adversely affect functionality however. There is only one inside pocket and the two outer pockets are shallow. All in all at this price point it is a good value and provides the basics for a riding jacket for moderate to warm weather riding. I would recommend to anyone looking for an entry level warm weather jacket. I will get lots of wear out of this purchase.

James C. from FLOWER MOUND, TX:
This is a great jacket! I got it for summer use here in Texas. The airflow through it is amazing. I'm 6'1", 195 lbs with broad shoulders and a small waist and the XL fit nicely. It would probably be a little snug in the chest (I'm a 44") but I don't intend to wear anything but a t-shirt or a short-sleeved shirt under it during the summer. I did try it on with a medium weight, long-sleeve pullover and the jacket still fit without being too restrictive. I expect this jacket will do exactly what it's intended to do- be a "carrier" for the armor but as breathable as possible. David in LeatherUp's customer service was very responsive and great to work with! Thank you.

Richard S. from SAN ANGELO, TX:
I received this jacket in a couple of days after ordering it and really like it. Really makes a difference riding in hot Texas summer weather except of course in city traffic when nothing but an air conditioned car will keep you cool. I only wish it had some contrasting color to it for visibility as I like to be easily seen when in traffic. I have been told, "if you can't afford to loose your skin keep it covered" so this is as close to riding without a jacket as I can get and still follow that advice.

Myron J. from SHERMAN OAKS, CA:
I like this Jacket because it is really lightweight. This is a mesh with armor. It can be worn under any coat or sweater to give you that super hero look. So I would recommend this to anyone who already has a favorite leather jacket, but feel they need armor underneath for the ride. I am 6'3" 195 lbs, and my son is 6'3" 140 lbs. I got the XL for myself and the Large for him. I could wear both and look good, but the Large was a truer fit. I can only wear a t-shirt with the large though, nothing else. Good Purchase for summer protection.

Jacob B. from NORMAN, OK:
I got the jacket on 3/14 and got to use it. I live in Oklahoma and the weather was a beautiful 80 degrees today. The jacket is very breathable and looks sharp. All construction of the jacket seems very high quality including the zipper. The tension straps on the under side of the arms and the rib areas on the jacket are super nice and give you the exact amount of space and movement you need whether your are riding with a t-shirt or a hoodie. I ordered the same as my Icon textile jacket (3x) and, with some tweaking of the tension straps, the fit was absolutely perfect. The only negative things I can think of is the mesh is a little rough, but I think it will soften up with some use. Also, I am a pretty big guy at 6'1 and 260. My torso is pretty long and I wish the trunk of the jacket was just an inch longer. Other wise everything is excellent and more than I would expect from a 60 dollar jacket. As usual, Leather Up did an exceptional job with shipping. Ordered late afternoon on last Friday 3/8 and received it yesterday on 3/14. It essentially only took them 4 days to get a package about 1200 miles to me, which is excellent. If you have any reserves about this jacket, make the plunge! great choice for summer riding. Feels great, fits perfectly, and looks sharp for about 30 percent the cost of my textile jacket.

Michael P. from CANTON, OH:
This jacket looks like it will definately suit my needs for the summer to come. I wanted to have something that would handle the really hot days in tne middle of the Ohio summers. The mesh looks sturdy and the armour looks as though it will give the protection you will need. My only issue was the velcro on the inside pocket ripped off the first time I tried to open it. I think that they used too strong of velcro for this pocket. A zipper would have been a better coice or a "weaker" velcro. It's not that big of a deal, the jacket still looks like it will do the job.

Michael T. from SPRINGFIELD, IL:
This is a very nice product. I've ridden in cool and warm temps in it and it has made all climates quite comfortable. It is lightweight but gives you confidence with the armor. I sort of wish it had a liner but I guess I could always throw a long sleeve t- or sweatshirt under it. Now I need to get pants to go with it.

Great jacket for the price. Definately runs small. I am 6'1" and 235 and the XXXL fits in the shoulders and arms. The torso is adjusted all the way in and fits OK. Overall I like it.

Justin S. from LINCOLN, NE:
Been wearing this jacket for about a month here in hot/humid Nebraska. The jacket is high quality and lets air in through out the entire jacket, which is great. I normally wear a large so I ordered a large and just right, with just enough room for something underneath, but this is a summer jacket so whats the point of that? Armor is great and sits in the right spots and you will quickly forget its armored once the jacket is on. 95 degree day the other day and with this jacket I was cool as a cucumber (while moving) can get a little hot at stop lights, but its worth it as it looks cool as hell and your got some good protection. My only complaint would be that when you button the neck up its a little rough on your skin as you turn your head side to side, could have used something smother around the collar, but other than that, the jacket fits just right in all the right places.

Ryan H. from CHAMBERSBURG, PA:
First thing that impressed me with this jacket was the quality. To be honest, for $60 I wasn't sure how nice this jacket would be. I was pleasently surprised with both the construction and materials, the fit is nice too. I'm 5'10", 175 lbs, and typically where between a Med and a Large. I bought the large in this jacket and it's perfect. What others don't mention in their reviews is that you can cinch all the straps down creating a snug fit for t-shirt riding, or loosen all the straps out to accomidate extra space to wear layers for cooler riding. With straps loosened I can easliy wear a sweat shirt under it for cool morings. Thanks Leather Up!

Emmanuel M. from WHEATON, IL:
Nice jacket. Length fits great. My only concern is that the armor on the elbows seems to be loose and sags. I'm not sure if this is suppose to fit this way or if it's suppose to fit snug on the arms. I don't want to exchange for the Medium because I think the length is going to be too short.

Keven A. from FITZPATRICK, AL:
Jacket fits small and short. I'm 6'6"...240...... I normally wear a XXL, but had to order a XXXL and the jacket still fell short of my waist. This is basically a summer jacket.....very thin. If you were to hold it up to the light, you can see straight through it. It has paddiing in all of the appropriate places, but it's too thin for my taste. If you are looking for a thin, breatheable jacket that offers protection in the major areas, this is the one for you. but to me, it's just too light and thin to give me confidence that it will protect me in the slightest fall.

sparling from BEAUMONT, TX:
For starters...Great job Leatherup.com. Thanks! Delivery time was dead on. One item arrived. Looked at invoice indicating other was to ship. Checked e mail to confirm. 1 hr later other item was at door from a dif'nt shipping point. Too cool. The cf 505 jacket is as good as can be expected for the price. In the southeast texas temps at this time of year, sat 4/23/11 temps were mid 80's. Low humidity because of 20 mph winds. The jacket had to come off at noon. Just a bit thickish. When the sun hit the horizon, it was well suited to finish the 330 mi ride for the day. I am 5'8, 165. Got a lg to accomodate a layer under. Perfect for that. Therefore I think this one may run true. IS-MAX-BT HJC helmet. I wear a 6 7/8 fitted cap. That is a small to HJC chart. Went with a medium cuz I have a HJC full face in med. Perfect fit. Love it. If you worry about buffetting noise, Stay in your car. It is a damn helmet! Closing the chin vent dampened some of the air noise. Also, the shield stayed in place up to 70mph or so when lifted to first notch to let air in. That is behind an 18" w/s on a bmw st model. I am not disappointed in any manner.
