My first ride after these arrived was in the rain (moderate rain) and they kept me nice and dry. They are quite "swishy" and bulky, especially with the quilted inner lining, but did I mention they kept me comfortable and dry? They seem to be breathable, too.
I'm short with short legs, and of course these were too long, but not excessively so, and I can snug the velcro closures at the ankles to keep the pants bottoms from dragging on the ground.
I like that the waist is at the waist - these are not hiphuggers. I saw some research that showed motorcycle-accident impact areas include the, ah, sitting area as well as the knees and hips.
