When you're not attempting to set the land speed record, an open-face helmet is an excellent option, offering true wind-in-the-face freedom, the ability to talk naturally to your fellow riders and/or passenger and other small but important conveniences.
My wife absolutely loves this helmet. The pictures do not do it justice. Lots of girlie butterflies that the picture does not show. We liked it a lot better in person than in the photos. Shipping was fast, but customer service had no idea where the helmet was until it was on my doorstep.
