| I measured my head and ordered a medium, but it was too tight. The exchange for a large went smoothly: time out and back to me was five days, via ground shipment. I ordered the Scorion EX)-1100 because it was not a modular and because it has an internal sun visor, tho the visor may prove not quite dark enough. The helmet seems quiet, even with all vents open. Ventilation really won't be tested until next spring. Possibly I'll need to inflate the cheek pads eventually, but right now even the large is so snug there's no need to. The 3-position visor lever takes some getting used to, especially with gloves on, but it may well be handy to crack open the visor while waiting at a long light. It's possible to fog the visor a bit while stopped, but it clears immediately with the slightest movement. I hope the fog-free surface works as well in really cold temps. The surface seems to be made well and the shell is stylish without being gaudy. The pads also seem to be made of quality materials. Right now, I'd rate it far superior to the Hawk modular which was my first helmet, and I hope it serves me as well as the Shoei or Arai I decided I couldn't afford. Five stars for now. |
