Sleek thin padding only available on Polycarbonate helmets which have a higher degree of impact absorption then normal half helmets. Meets or exceeds DOT certification. This helmet is very well made and well worth the price, but, it is not a true skull cap helmet. It is not any sleeker than a standard helmet, and is really just a half helmet and just as thick as a regular half helmet. I was looking for a helmet that has thinner foam liner like the description leads you to believe.
