Left side draw string pulled out of jacket. Need to be very carful when pulling up the zipper, if not you can have a problem with it jamming. It does keep you dry but I should have bought the more exspensive one. I do like the the 2 piece. If the roads are wet you can just waer the pants and shed the jacket.
