Well designed helmet that should provide optimum protection if needed. Especially like the lift up chin and faceguard feature and also the flip down sunscreen. The vents help with keeping my head cool and white is great for visibility and reflecting the sun. Went a size up and the first time I put it on I thought it might be too small, but after a couple of times wearing it, it "loosened" up enough to fit perfectly. I do ride with the chin guard up sometimes and there's plenty of room for my B&L Aviators. Don't know if there's enough room to accomodate a headset, thoughI don't use one. Great versatility for the money, but order one size up for best fit.

I wanted to try a Hawk helmet because of the price. I was very surprised at all the features and the comfort. I have another modular costing $300.00 or more and I find myself using the Hawk instead. I love it so far. Thanks!

After a lot of on-line research I decided on this helmet. The sizing chart proved to be accurate for me. A little tight at first but after some use it fits perfectly.
I really like the design with the flip up clear visor and the flip down sun visor inside. Allows great visibility. Plenty of ventilation, including two vents on either side of my chin that help keep my breath from fogging the visor in cool weather.
Bottom line is great design, good look and feel and great price.
My wife bot the pink version.

i just love the helmet, more then what I thought it would be. the only thing I need to do is exchange it for a bigger size, but the boxes were totally wet and soaked. but that has nothing to do with the quality of the helmet..its great

Great Helmet. Size runs small. Went with a medium vs the small. Have one other Hawk and it was too tight couldn;t get sun and RX glasses on with out felling like I was goining to break the wings. Soo got the med and it fits perfect. Love the dark pull down shades!!! even WITH sun glasses no interferance with the dark sun visor.

I just uprchased the Hawk ST-1198 White it dose run a little small but all of the other fiethers are super the Dual Visor very nice. The chin bar has a positive lock feels very secure. I liked it so much I purchased a secong one.

Took me quite a while to find what I was looking for, and this helmet was pretty solidly it - nice design, comfortable fit (ordered a size up and I'm glad I did!), great features (love how the face-portion of the helmet can go all the way back) and a low price for the quality. Not sure yet about how warm it is, but the vents work well and the airflow is good. All in all was a great buy, I will probably be getting another in a different color for back-up and variety.

Based on my head measurement I orderd the small. Small was very, very tight so I have returned it for a medium. I hope that fits properly. I do like the helmet functionality and look forward to trying it on a ride when the medium arrives. I'll update at that time.
