My 7 yr. old daughter loves to ride with me, but it was difficult for her to hold on sufficiently. This belt has solved that problem. I wear it with the hand holds facing rearward for her. She loves the soft feel and says, "They are very comfortable." She feels more confident and safer now that I've acquired this for her to use. I'll probably wear it with the hand holds facing forward when my wife rides with me.
The only thing I'd like to see added to it, is a heavier duty, secondary strap and buckle for added security, (it does have an elesticized, inner belt secured with hook and loop fastener material), in case the first one would fail. To me redundancy is a goood thing. But, regardless, this is an big improvement over using nothing!
I've actually been searching for a product like this for some time now. I bought it the second I first saw it promoted as a new arrival at LeatherUp.com. It went into my shopping cart immediately.
