The xl fits my BMW R1100R with hard cases and windshield. Not sure how durable it will be, but will be good for keeping it clean in the garage during the winter

I have a Yamaha V Star 650 and took the advice of David W. below and ordered XXL. It was good advice. We have a sissy bar on the back, and the bigger size is definitely better. Money well-spent to protect our investment.

I ordered a L/XL for my Yamaha V Star 650. While it covers the majority of the bike I'd probably go with the XXL if I were to reorder. It packs really small into its own bag and is easy to stow in your saddle bags, etc.

I bought two of these for our bikes as dust covers for garage storage over the winter. We have a Kawasaki EN500 with windscreen, bags and back rest and she rides a Honda Rebel 250 with windscreen and bags. I got the large-extra large for both and the fit on the Honda is a little roomy but not sure I'd go smaller. The cover fit the Kaw like it was made for it. If you are on a dressed bike bigger than a 500, go with something bigger. This would likely work but would not cover the tires all the way down and on a big bike may not cover the foot rests. These come in their own storgae bag so pretty easy to keep them in the saddlebags and would be fine for a rain cover. It has nice grommets around the bottom for a drawstring to keep the wind form blowing it off. But no string is provided. That is not a complaint, just information. Overall, for 20 bucks, I couldn't be happier. I'm getting one more for our son's Ninja. Hope this helps.

You cannot ask for a better product for this price, i got 2 of them. 1 for my VROD and one for my girls Sportster, both fit well and the quality is amazing for $20 bucks, it sure beats buying a Harley Branded cover for 5 times the money! Way to go leatherup!
