I am older now and was hoping for a more flexible boot. My shifting is getting more difficult and need easier ankle motion. This boot is really nice and great for a hard and vigorous rider. It may soften up in time but I don't have much time. The toe area is thicker than I need making it hard to make up-shifts.Size was a good match. I regret that I had to return it and will search for something more to my needs.

These are great boots made EXCLUSIVELY for riding. Very good fit and finish, made to shift easily and avoid the gear lever with no problem. Thanks leatherup for getting me into biking gear that really works.

I needed a low toe boot because my bike has very long floorboards. The articulated ankle is also a plus with a low heel since I am 6' 5' tall and around 290 lbs. The boots were of good quality and provide good protection. They are easy to take on and off. When ordering you might want to go one size higher and max width of these boots is a D. If you have wide feet you might have a problem. The boots are confirmed waterproof. Like any boot, you might want to wear them a few times and break them in sitting and walking around the house. They loosen up nicely and are very comfortable. I expect them to hold up well and seem very sturdy. I would buy them again.

This is my second pair, I ride to work and back, had the old ones over two years, wore a hole in the sole and the inside on the right started to come apart . It's a good boot :grin:

Wow, I never thought I would find such a high quality boot for such a great price. When I opened the box and took them out I thought they made a mistake and sent me a more expensive style. But to my delight they were the right ones.

As in all things, these boots are reasonably priced and are reasonably protective. I do 250 + mile days on Angeles crest hwy sometimes 4 days a week and comfort is a critical factor which these fulfill. I have more expensive boots which are more protective, stiffer and hard to wear all day long so I wear these more often than not. They seem to be durable but haven't had them long enough to tell.
