This is a really nice vest. It looks like the icon moto search and destroy vest. The removable back armor is great! I only wish there was also a liner in between the armor panel and your back when the armor is removed. Great vest, would recommend to others.

I just recieved my Xelement Stripped Vest it an swsome vest wish i want with an 3XL but the 4XL fine the vest is well made and very comfortable not heavy like the other brand and affordable too fast shipping a plus thanks guys ill be ordering more things soon...

This Vest is Eff'n AWESOME!!! It's got a really nice ride to it. It looks just as good at the bar fully unzipped with a beer, as it does zipped up and haulin'. Closely resembles other brand name vests without immitating, and definately makes a unique statement. The "Cross-draw" style pockets are A LOT DEEPER than you'd think! The pictures don't show it very well, but the sides are connected by material behind the straps...making it feel much more secure. The back armor is segmented like a pill-bug or armadillo. It flexes very well when slumping over for sport-bike riders' agressive posturing. At 160 mph it still doesn't catch air or parachute at all! Definately one of the best riding accessories i own. It looks super hard-core, lightweight, subtle, and gives the freedom of movement i'm looking for while not overstating that image of "HEY LOOK AT ME, I RIDE A MOTORCYCLE!!! DID I MENTION I RIDE A MOTORCYCLE? ASK ME IF I RIDE A MOTORCYCLE!" For anyone who is tired of ignoring their armored-up leathers because it's too hot, or the 5" zipper "vents" just aren't cutting it, or because when you get to your destination...now you've gotta deal with babysitting a 2' wide pile of expensive leather... THIS IS THE VEST FOR YOU!!! Motorcycles are inherrently dangerous just because they exist...i'd rather show my t-shirts, muscles, or under-layers with a vest that I ACTUALLY LIKE TO WEAR, than have an expensive inVESTment in a jacket that is heavy, cumbersome, hides my physique, and roasts me in humid weather.

One Fix to this long rating: I'm sure the elasticity of the straps won't last forever, so they're gonna look bad when they "bacon" up, and for a jacket that's fully leather, why use textiles here? That, and if you've got an athletic build (42in chest, 32in waist, 6'2" tall) the sides could be made so i could tighten up a little more. I'm gonna take up some slack in the middle and sew them up a little shorter. Other than that... Eff'n Awesome Vest! I'm definately buying another one as soon as this one's toast...could be a long time tho considering the quality craftsmanship!

I noticed the price went up on these vest. I purchased it for $77 with shipping when it first came out, now it is $89. Even with the increased price, I would buy it again. My motorcycle club ended up buying thier vest, that look exactly like these at a biker's leather store we have in the city. So far all of their vest have fallen apart one way or another (broken straps, stiching coming apart, zippers breaking). My vest continues to look like it did the first day I bought it. The only other vest I see that is comparable to the quality of this vest is the Icon, that also looks exactly like this one, only at 3X the cost.

Good value and quality of materials, but as far as the sizing I am a bit confused. I normally wear medium and large jackets. Scorpion's medium fits me perfect. I'm in between M and L in Icon. I wanted a stand alone vest for summertime that would fit nice and snug. I'm about 5'11" and 160 lbs. I ordered a small in this vest and was worried it might be too tight. I was wrong! The small fits me as loosely as an Icon Large. I don't quite understand the sizing. I will need to layer up under this thing to keep from drowning in it. My advice would be, if you are planning to wear this as a stand alone vest, order two sizes smaller than you think you should. I just wish there was an extra small I could order. Pretty ridiculous sounding for me to need an "extra small" of anything.

I have ordered several items from Leatherup. Every one has been excellent and arrived on time as promised.
This vest is very good quality and great value for money. I saw at least one other review saying that this vest seems big the advertised size. Normally folks recommend to buy big. I am normally an XL and I bought another vest at 2XL and it just fits. So I bought this one at 3XL and found it to be way too big. So I recommend with this particular vest to buy on your normal size.
Other than the size issue I can recommend this vest. Great job leatherup!
