| I wear a 46L suit coat so I ordered the 3XL since between the armor and extra layers during the winter. Overall I would say that I could have been fine with the 2XL. There is plenty of room and the sleeves are just a tad to long with the extra room across the shoulders and the extra length on the sleeves. There is a good amount of airflow through the jacket and can easily be worn in summer weather. The side pockets seem a bit small to use with gloves on and I wish the waist could be cinched up a bit tighter. But I am happy with the price paid. |

| This is a very heavy coat. I think the build quality is quite good. I notice some people complain that the Vulcan coats' sleeves run long. This is a fallacy. They run long so that they fit properly when your hands are on the bars. I have mini apes on my bike and they fit exactly as they should. If you need a coat to wear socially, this isn't your jacket unless you want to look like an iron man prototype. As for the fit, I'm 6' and 180 lbs, athletic build. 34" waist 34" sleeve. I bought a large. DO NOT SIZE UP. The coat is slightly loose on me. I usually wear a large or XL. I could probably fit in a medium of this coat, but I think the fit is good enough to not warrant a return. I can layer underneath if I need to. The coat is armored and it is for real. You should make sure you want this feature before buying. It's not uncomfortable, though I am sometimes conscious of the pad on my back. This can be removed, but it hasn't bothered me that much. I bought this coat in large part because I like flat black. Aesthetically, the only part I don't like about it is the triangular plastic pieces on the shoulders. A little blingy for my tastes, and certainly not functional. Still, this is a minor complaint. I feel secure in this coat, and I like the way it looks. I can only imagine how much a coat of this substance would cost at a bike shop. |

| I ordered this together with the Classic Men's Biker Jacket #B7100.
By comparison, the Vulcan is a larger jacket, thick leather, rather bulky armor, less pockets. You can remove the armor and I'll probably take out the sleeve and back armor, just leave in the shoulder armor. Easy to take out as required. The liner is also easily removed.
It is well made with a Matt finish, almost a dark grey rather than black. Quite stylish, I personally like the lack of logos which, for me, ruin other jackets. I don't want to look like a billboard.
One thing, the sleeves are very long, almost absurdly long. The pattern-maker's shop model must have spent his riding days with a pair of ape hanger handle bars.

| The jacket is very high quality and a great buy for the money. It makes your shoulders look broad and the waist smaller, giving you that "V" look. The material is heavy, rugged, and will last forever. The zippers are heavy duty. It is not black but dark grey, and a lot of people really liked the look. The only problem is that unlike the other brands, this one runs a bit larger, so my medium could have been a small. Lastly, the sleeves are way way too long, they're ridiculous, made for orangatans. The company oughta take the guy that designed thoat behind the woodshed; they make an otherwise fantastic jacket not as versatile to wear anywhere but riding. |
