| Totally agree w/ Marc M. Great helmet, just falls a little short on finishing touches. Sizing chart dead on. Needed a snap to secure strap when tightened. I also felt the lining wanted to pull out the back side of the helmet when removing. Maybe because I shave my head and people w/ hair don't have this issue. Also, the viser is too short (just like marc said). Great helmet, just spend a few bucks on a snap, I added 2 small peices of velcro to the helmet to hold the lining in place in the back and forget about the visor. |

| So far so good. The fit is just right: comfortable and secure at high speeds. I returned the medium I originally ordered for a small. Like the look as well. Visor works just fine over my everyday glasses. I usually wear prescription riding glasses but for a quick run the visor is fine and could be on long rides as well. |

| OK I'm the first one to write a review on the GMax GM55 on L U.com. I had read reviews on other sites and had heard mostly positive feedback.I also had the advantage of trying the helmet on at a store so I knew the fit was good.Anyway here we go....
THE GOOD ..The helmet does the most important thing.It eliminates mushroom head.I had been using a Scorpion XO 100 which is a great helmet but it's too big.The GMax sits low on your head and the fit is nice and snug.I was on the highway and even at 75 it didn't shift at all.The carbon shell looks great.
THE BAD..The drop down visor is just a little too small.It should be about an inch or so longer.It's almost like tinted bi'focals.There's just not full coverage of the eye area.
THE UGLY..The chin strap should have a snap .That being said if you just tuck the strap back under it self at the end it shouldn't be a distraction.
Overall this is a great helmet.It's too bad GMax didn't put a little more money into it and up the quality but for 75.00 it's a good bargain.One last thing.The size is a little small so if you wear an XL get a L. |
