Excellent jacket, maybe not quite as nice as some of the more expensive, but for nearly a quarter of the cost it's well worth it. It is true to size, and fits well. Not sure how well the armor will hold up in a crash, hope I never find out. But lets face it, any padding and abrasion resistance is better than a T shirt.

Excellent Jacket for the Summer months.. Recently completed a 2 day 500 mile tour from Albany Ny to Rutland VT ( Day 1) and from Rutland Vt to Bennington and back to Albany (Day 2). I spent most of the ride on RT 30 in VT average speed limit 45 mph........The jacket was very comfortable and allowed plenty of air flow.....the temperature both days was in the lower 90's and it was very humid.......however the only time I was overheated was when stopped at a long red light.....as soon as I got moving the airflow through the jacket cooled me right down..........The jacket is well made and fits true to size......I highly reccomend this jacket to anyone that wishes to ride with protection and wants to stay cool in the hot summer riding weather.......the price to quality factor on this jacket is excellent

This jacket is just what I wanted. It's been in the 90's here and the jacket is great with the liner removed. I did wear it on a cool morning after a rain with the liner and it was perfect. I feel comfortable and protected. Plus, it looks really good on me. You just can't beat LeatherUp's prices, quality and fast shipping.

This jacket has been excellent in warmer weather. I find the airflow to be great. The padding is lightweight and the total jacket feels like wearing a long sleeve t-shirt. The black color does heat up when stopped, but moving at any speed starts the air flowing again. This jacket definitely makes riding in temps ranging from 80-100 much more comfortable. The padding gives an extra sense of protection. It is also easy to pack into a pack or saddlebag when leaving the bike. I highly recommend this product for warm weather riding.

i'm a longtime LeatherUp buyer. their quality far surpasses their low prices, and this jacket is fantastic for warm weather riding. as other reviewers have said, it keeps you cool as long as you're moving, even at low speeds, but you'll feel the heat shortly after you stop (and you can't really ask for more than that). i haven't worn it with the liner yet, as it is summertime in Austin ( /- 100 degrees), but the interior breast pockets the liner provides are generous and in just the right places - especially if you like to keep your player and the wire to your headphones inside your jacket (one vertical zippered pouch right - passport size, and one horizontal velcro pouch left - bigger than any modern phone). my only two complaints are no interior pockets without the liner, and, contrary to the images of the clean black jacket shown above, each shoulder bears a large oval "X-Element" logo on the side. the stitching is not difficult to remove if you're handy (and very careful) with an x-acto knife, and i might be extreme in my desire that my bike and my wardrobe not advertise, but it isn't shown in any of the pictures (and it's plenty visible).

I bought this for my guy to wear during the intense heat here in GA. He LOVES it - it won't keep you very cool when you are standing still.. but it is really nice when you are flying down the highway and MUCH cooler than his leather counterpart he wears during the colder season here... all two weeks of it! PS - he looks as sexy in this jacket as he does in his all leather jacket!

Nice Jacket. Enough airflow for warmer weather and just enough warmth for slightly chilly. The liner has worked well for me so far as it is getting colder here. Also plenty pockets in this jacket.

I bought this jacket ~18 months ago and have been wearing it since in all seasons. I'm prompted to write this review because of an accident I had 11/21/11. A car pulled out in front of me while I was doing 35-40mph. I ended up exiting the bike onto the roadway with the bike landing on my left lower leg and ankle. I'm still recovering (12/24/11) from the ankle injuries but my upper body sustained ZERO injuries. Above the waist I had no scratches or bruises whatsoever ... just as if I never had the accident. I swear by this jacket (comfortable except when stopped on a hot day ... OK in motion) for its comfort but mostly for its proven protection. Thank you X-Element.
