| I purchased this jacket afteralot of research. 1st off is that the sizes of this jacket run very small. I originally ordered a 3xl as I normally wear a 2xl in most everything. It was way too small,I could get it on however it was extremely tight. I returned the jacket for exchange ( I read all of the instructions and followed them to the letter and so did Leatherup) and the exchange happened exactally as described. I bypassed the 4xl and ordered the 5xl thinking it would probably be too big, it wasn't it fit nice. The length of this jacket is designed to be short but it is the perfect length while sitting on the bike. I have been ridding with the jacket for several wees and I am really impressed with it. I went to Joanns fabric and bought some iron on reflective material and applied for better visibiity. With the cost of the reflective material and the price of this jacket it is an awesome deal. Buy 2 sizes larger and the amount of exchanges will be reduced. |

| Well for a short stocky guy like myself I had to order 2 sizes larger then normal. I appreciate customer service replying and informing me that this jacket runs on the small side because it's not designed for fat guys like me. LOL! But I have to say it fits good now with a little extra room for layers underneath if needed. I like the look and seeing I took a dump this last summer I'm sure the armor will be beneficial if there is a next time. |

| The coat fits great! I know a lot of people use the 'go one size up moto' when they purchase here, but they never explain why so I'll make an attempt. I had my girlfriend measure my chest at rest which gave us a measure of 37. Then I had her measure my chest while my upper body was engaged (simply flexing my chest and back) and we got a measure of 41. So I ordered a large instead of a medium, which I wear in most of my shirts/coats.
I think that a lot of people think of a motorcycle jacket as a semi-leisure piece of clothing, since it involves their bike. Remember that your body is engaged while you ride, so measure accordingly. I hope this helps.

| This is a great jacket and I love everything about it. I have been riding in it for about a month now with the lining zipped out and it is incredibly comfortable and seems very durable. It has been in the 80's and 90's out lately including a few days near 100 degrees and with the lining removed and the vents all open, I am perfectly comfortable while riding. It obviously gets very warm when sitting still, but basically anything would.
As far as fitting, I took the advice of one of the other reviewers and had my wife measure my chest while it was flexed and she got a measurement of 39" which is right in between sizes (unflexed my chest was 36"). I think the idea to measure a flexed chest is a good idea, but because I was between sizes I decided to order up to a large and now wish I hadn't. After riding in it for about a month now, I'm wishing I had gone with a medium instead.
Other than trying to get the size right, which can be difficult (true for any online ordering) this is an excellent jacket. Love the fabric, love the look, love the armor, and more than anything, love the vents! |

| This jacket is very comfortable, but you definitely have to go one size larger when ordering. The protective armor is not constricting but is comforting to know it's there. It got really hot outside, so I took out the removable interior armor pieces which helps a little. All and all, I am extremely pleased with the jacket and the price. |

| Great quality, very comfortable and fits well. Order one size up from your normal everyday clothes. I am 6' tall and have a 46" chest. I generally wear size large shirts and jackets. I ordered this jacket in XL and am very happy with it. The zip out liner is nice ,making this jacket comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. |

| On May 29th, by no fault of my own, I tested the protective qualities of this jacket. A cage hit the back of my bike and knocked it out from under me. I hit the pavement at about 50mph. Lost no hide except small spot on each knee and back of one hand. Jacket did its job 100%, had to be cut off me, but I'll be ordering another Xelement jacket soon. |
