Along with having purchsed the Bell Zephyr helmet, I also obtained the smoke shield. The shield offers a clear unobstructed view (without any waves or ripples ) from the front on view to the peripheral view and does a great job of keeping the suns glare out of the eyes. The manner in putting on and taking off the shield is extremely easy with the NO TOOLS required approach. By simply pushing the levers on either side of the helmet at the point of attachment , the sheild falls into place and just as easly can be removed. I found there to be no problems in air seeping along the top, sides or bottom of the shield as I've experienced in some other high end helmets / shields. Also, the ease of raising and lowering the shield while riding with gloves was quite refreshing. A great addition to the helmet but more importantly the overall ease in the add / removal and operation of the shield. A fine value.
