Thomas M. from Mays Landing, NJ:
I was a little on the apprehensive side when I ordered this jacket, but just for sizing. I took the advice of most of the reviews and ordered one size larger. I am 5'-8" tall 160lbs. I wear a 42R sport coat, which is considered a large, and I wear XL Tee shirts because I like them baggie, don't like the love handles showing even though I'm over 60. Chest measures 43-44 I purchased an XL.The fit was perfect for me. I also have just enough room to wear an insulated hoody under the shell. Winter rides in NJ are pretty cold. The sleeves are long for wearing as a jacket, but for riding they are perfect. I rated everything 5 stars except for durability, I've only owned it a day, but looking at the construction of the jacket it looks like it will last a long time. One of the guys I ride with paid double what I did, and his looks and feels like the same jacket. I would recommend this jacket and Company to anyone. If you ride you will love all the pockets!

Jay V. from MONMOUTH, OR:
I got this jacket after carefully going over the sizing info, remeasuring and re-reading hte reviews on fit. I wear a 2X jacket, or sometimes a 3x - I ended up ordering the 4x jacket and it was too small. the zipper was 3 inches away from each side at the belly. I do carry my weight in my gut so it was not totally unexpected, but I thought it might just be a tight fit. The Jacket looked very well made and I loved the pockets and vent features. I returned it with no problem, but I did have to pay shipping back. They credited my card back right after receiving the jacket back at their warehouse. They did not have a 5X in stock and they can't tell me when they will either. I really liked the jacket so I will wait a couple more months before I start looking at something else.

Great jacket for the money. Not sure about durability yet but it feels like a pretty decent quality. Sizing: I'm a small guy, no gut, athletic build...I bought a small (normal size for me) and it fines fine.

I wear an XL and ordered a XXL fits me great. Heavy jacket will work well in Ohio. Only issue was tab for liner was not sewn to jacket in one sleeve. Other than that love. Saved good money compared to local dealers price

This jacket is a "beast", and weighs 6lbs. without the liner. Super well built and super strong with amazing venting and pockets inside and out. You just don't see this kind of durability and quality anymore. If you're looking for a great looking jacket that's built like a tank with all the features, this one fits the bill. Normally, I'm a medium but I read the reviews and ordered a large and it fits like a glove.

Peter T. from Clovis, NM:
I like the jacket but did order one size larger and it fits good. Like all the leather jackets i have owned once this one gets broken in it will fit better. Wore it with all the vents open and stayed cool in the 100 degrees. Only problems I have is where the inner liner sleeve snaps on to the piece of leather, the small piece tore out of the netting. So I am going to take it and get that piece of leather sown onto the upper cuff. Also where the armor can be removed in the arms my fingers get caught in the netting, to bad the velcro doesn't go all the way across, maybe in the future I will get that done.

JUST make sure to check all zippers and snaps as soon as you get it I would rate it a 4.75 star rating

The first jacket I ordered was a 2 XL and at 6 foot 3 inches and 220 lbs. you would think it would fit. I had to return it and order a 3 XL. Now when it came it fit like a glove and was of good quality. This jacket is a keeper at the price. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I love this coat. I have friends with similar coats that cost 2 to 3 times as much. A lot of the other reviews said to go up a size or two when ordering so I went up 1 size but it was way too large, When I reordered I got the size I normally wear it fit perfect. I am 6 feet 200 pounds with a little larger gut than I would like and the large fits slightly snug the way a motorcycle jackrt should. If you get the right size you wont be dissapointed.

I went one size up and the jacket fits well. Very heavy thick leather that should cut the wind and be very warm. great price compared to other brands. I'm looking forward to cool weather when I can put this jacket through it's paces.

Joel A R. from Marlton, NJ:
I typically wear a 2XL jacket and followed everyone's advise and ordered a 3XL. Needless to say, I had to exchange it for a 4XL which still fit me like a glove. For the price, the Jacket is GREAT and I am looking forward to many years of use from it. Sizing is my only complaint. I have a 40 inch waste and I don't believe the jacket's sizing chart is accurate. I had no problems ordering the second jacket from Leather Up and have just today sent the first jacket back for refund.

Very high quality heavy leather jacket. Order 1 size up. I,m 6' and 180. XL fits perfectly. Long sleeves, perfect for biking. And the price is VERY atractive. Even with international shipping, custom fees and taxes I had to pay. Veri good for riding, a little heavy for casual wear. Perfect match with Xelement fitted pants.

Great jacket. nice and warm but size runs small. I had to return mine and the replacement jacket was lost by fed-ex. Leather up sent me anpther replacement jacket. It was a lot of trouble to finally get my replacement jacket but Leather up was not at fault. This is a quality jacket. I live in Alabama and I ride all winter. I believe this jacket will be heavy wenough to keep me warm all winter.

I bought this for my brother so wasn't sure of the sizing but I did go up a size and it fits him well. Enough room for a sweatshirt or warm sweater. It's well made, quality leather, he loves all the pockets, and armor padding. The zippered opening for ventilation is great he says, also the interior pockets great for cell, wallet and other valuables. I got him a Large size and he is 5'8' and about 160lb. He likes the roominess, not tight fight, especially for long rides. Great product and price, very happy so far, it's a good looking jacket !

Michael K. from MOUNT JULIET, TN:
Great jacket. For size reference; I'm 5'-11" 180 lbs. 14.5" neck, 40" chest (measured under arms), 40 long sleeve, and 34" waist. I generally water Medium - Large shirts. Varies slightly and Large are generally just a *little* big. Based on reviews I ordered an XL jacket - one size up. Jacket fits great, although a tad big around the neck. Sleeve length is good - hits just at bottom of thumb so it's a good overlap - specially when wearing gloves. First ride with it (without the liner) I wore a t-shirt with a short sleeve button up and was very comfortable. I think an additional thicker shirt or even a pull over sweater would still fit. Liner is a little thin but nice to have as additional layer. Great vents for keeping cool. As others have mentioned, the jacket is heavy but the thickness/weight adds to the protection for this type of material. Lots of storage space (pockets) Front hand pockets on the side are too shallow for my liking but still accessable. Definitely a great jacket.

The jacket is great except for the sizing. I ordered extra large. It is very, very snug. I would advise customers to order at least one size larger. Unless I loose weight, which would be great, I will be unable to wear any layers under it as temperatures drop.

Milan D. from MARSHALLTOWN, IA:
The quality of the jacket is great, BUT getting the correct sizing is difficult at best. I normally wear a large but took the advice of others and ordered a 2X which is still snug (don't think I'll be wearing a sweatshirt underneath). I'm 5'11", 210 lbs, and wear a size 44 long dress coat. Shipping was extremely quick! Lots of pockets and room for "stuff" just as stated in the ad.

James R. from PONCA CITY, OK:
This jacket is an excellent product ( I have 2 others not purchased here). It seems that getting the correct size is the biggest issue, so I hope this helps someone else. I am 6' 190 lbs. I wear xl tall shirts. 34 inch waist. I ordered the 2xl and it fits me perfectly. First ride (92 miles ) in 97 degree Oklahoma sun, liner removed and all vents open. I could not be happier with the performance of this jacket. The vents feel like cooling fans at any speed over 20mph. Yes the side hand pockets are small, but the rest are large enough to carry more than you need. I highly recommend this jacket, you wont be sorry.

This is a heavy jacket. The Buffalo leather is thick and tough. Talk about pockets. Lots of storage space in this jacket. I did buy it a size larger than I normally wear. And it is a little tight but still a good fit. The vents do work and I'm impressed with the comfort while riding. Overall I'd say this is a great value for the money.

Glad that I read the reveiws. The majority of buyers said to buy a size larger so I did. I usually wear an XL. The 2XL fits well but no room for a hoodie. Will keep because a 3XL would be way too big and everything else about the jacket is great.

great jacket for the buck. there's about 80 pockets to fit a baby in them if u want. the size was right on point. i got a medium and i have broad shoulders, "i usually wear large t-shirts" but they fit perfectly. the jacket is heavier than my old one, but has more armor. will get it again if they are ruined.

Christopher C. from olathe, KS:
A really heavy jacket - very thick. It weights more than any leather jacket I've owned, but it strangely doesn't feel like it's dragging down my shoulders when I walk. For such thick leather it's not stiff at all. It's made for a riding position, so there is more room in the back and a little less in the front. This makes it very comfortable when riding but a bit tight around the chest when standing if it's fully zipped. Not a negative - a regularly fit jacket would be too tight around the back and the sleeves would ride up. The vents on the sleeves and chest do a great job. it's interesting to watch them open wide when cruising. Plenty of airflow. The only thing I can complain about is the zip in liner being so thin that it's almost not worth putting in when it gets cold. The pockets are huge and don't look like it. Each of the big pockets has webbing around the edges that offers plenty of small places to store a pen, sunglasses, earplugs, a wallet, etc. without looking or feeling like they are in the way. The side pockets (the ones you'd normally stuff your hands in on a cold day) are too small to stuff your hands in. These are only maybe 4-5" deep. Another negative that doesn't really bother me. If I had to buy a jacket and I know what I know about this jacket, I'd buy it again without thinking twice.

This jacket fits me perfectly. I ordered a large. I am 6"1' and 164lbs. I love it. I used to have a leather non-riding jacket and it was either too stuffy or too cold when I was wearing it but it was better than nothing. This is great because I have the vents and I have plenty of pockets. Plus the price was amazing. I love it.

I received my jacket in a timely manor. I ordered a size bigger after reading reviews and it was to big. Return process was easy but the shipping was expensive. Received my replacement in about a week. Fit very well. I've worn it around town, its comfortable and I love the vents. It has gotten many compliments and people can't believe the low price for the quality. I'd buy again and recommend it to anyone needing a nice leather jacket for a nice price. Good quality. Nice Jacket. Feels very substantial. I expect it to be very durable. Sizing charts are very confusing and when it was explained to me that the dimensions given were the outside of the jackets it really seems useless. The only issue with the jacket was that one of the snap tabs in the sleeve connecting to the liner was not attached to the jacket. Guess I'll sew it in rather than return the jacket.

THIS FITS SMALL!!! But it is a Great deal once you find the right size. I have a 50" cheast but had to buy a 2XL(54") to fit. I love this jacket. I have been wearing it since I bought it. Hand pockets are small, but all other pockets are great. I had another XElement jacket when a woman pulled out in front of me and I had to put my bike down and believe me - the Armor DOES work. I recommend this jacket. Heavy Leather, warm when you need it, open vents and remove liner and it was comfortable when driving in 80 degree weather this last weekend! Thank you for a great product!

WILTON A. from OAKLEY, CA:
High quality, very heavy duty, and overall a great jacket. Normally, when buying a jacket like this, I go 1 size up so I can wear my t shirt, a flannel shirt, a hoodie, and then the leather for those mornings in the low to mid 30s and not be cold. I read multiple reviews stating this is running 1 size small and I was still nervous to order two sizes over my normal. I wear a 3x shirt and hoody and usually get a 4x jacket and fits a little loose with all of my under clothes. I opted to get the 5x and return if the fit was bad. It fit like a glove, perfectly snug and comfortable. Whatever size jacket you usually wear, definitely go 1 size up.

Great jacket for the money. Super heavy duty with bullet proof zippers. Very well made. The leather seems to be so tough, you really don't need the pads. My only complaints, and they are minor are 1.The Aroma of the jacket. It really hasn't dissipated after a week in the open. 2. The sizes are deceptive. I usually take an XL but ordered a 2XL which is still pretty tight. I guess thats the design but you really can't wear anything under it. The liner is useless as well. It only adds to the stuffed feeling.3. With the size being deceptive, the outside pockets are cut too far back to really be useable if the jacket is used unzipped. The gun pocket comes in handy ! We here in the "Peoples Republic of Connecticut" have to be careful of not crossing any borders when employing this neat feature. It fits my Smith &Wesson 460 with no problem. I've purchased another x-element jacket in heavy leather as well as a couple of vests. Their products are by far the best on the market for looks, durability and protection.

The size chart makes no sence. I generally wear between a large and an x large. I ordered the 2sl as suggested by others. It fits, but is tighter than I would like. I have a 45" chest and 36" waist. The size chart shows a 2xl with 54'chest and 47" waist which would swallow me. The jacket appears to be well made. It is extremely, I mean extremely heavy. Let me repeat. Really, really heavy.

I'm 6'0, 260 lbs. 51 inch chest (no shirt). I initially ordered a 4XL--it was too small. Got the 5XL, fits great. LOVE the feel and heft of the leather, and the armored shoulders and elbows. Add in the INSANE amount of storage capacity in the various pockets, and you have an outstanding jacket for riding that is off the charts in terms of value for the money. Love it so much I have two: one in black and one in brown.

Thomas N. from Jacksonville, FL:
For the price/value I love the jacket. The liner has one snap at the end of each sleeve. The very first time I took the liner out, one of the two snaps tabs broke off. The other was super feeble too, so took a needle and thread to sew them back on more securely. I live in FL and will be using this Oct-Mar. It can be 80 in the day and 40 at night so all of the vents and the fact the liner is removeable are a huge plus. Rest of the year leather would be too hot here so going back to textile then. I'm 6'3 220 and the XXXL fits well. I could have gotten away with an XXL, which probably would be a better proper tight fit, but I like mine a little loose. Sleeve length is perfect on this XXXL for riding position. Super quick shipping!

First jacket I've bought in over ten years. It has the features I was looking for, especially the vents. It's heavy, good-looking jacket and arrived sooner than expected. I took the advice of users and ordered a size up. I measure 38" chest, ordered the 48 medium, and the jacket fits great. The cuffs felt a little long and tight, at first, bit I don't have wind blowing up my arm. I'm completely satisfied and would recommend this jacket to a friend.

Be very careful! The company doesn't care that their sizing is way way off! At least 2 sizes too small. I m 5'7 & 170 lb with a small frame and a large was way too small. I spoke to them before ordering and a woman guided me and she had no idea what she was doing. Then being too small I had to pay $30.00 for shipping it back! I told them to refund my $$ cause if the next one was no good it would have been a $60.00 mistake for NOTHING! Stay away! Really sad that they don't care and their sizing chart is just stupid. I wear a 42 jacket and they claim their large is a 52" jacket. Please! Again sad!

I really like the jacket. It has almost everything that I wanted and it is reasonably priced. It is comfortable and the zippers are heavy duty and seem to be of good quality. I will say that had I not read some of the other reviews I would have gotten the wrong size. Do NOT believe the sizing chart. It is way off. I am 6' 2" and 240 lbs. Because of the other reviews I ordered a size 3XL and it fits perfectly. I had it shipped ground freight, and expected it to take at least a week to arrive, but it arrived just 2 days after placing the order. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Reed K. from MILILANI, HI:
Leather Up was very helpful with fitment. Had many questions due to the fitment issues in other reviews...thank you! I normally take a large jacket for loose fit but ordered an XL and the jacket fits nicely with loose fit. As recommended by Leather up, I would also recommend going one size up than you normally wear (not one size up from chart). According to Leather up, the items on the chart measures the circumference of the jacket...measured under the arms and all around from the outside of the jacket. I have a 44" chest 42" waist (not pants waist size), 5'6" and 185 lbs with wide back/shoulders. Jacket is a little stiff when you first try it on, but I am sure it will relax with normal use. Very comfortable compared to my amored textile jacket. Don't forget to register on their website before you purchase....you will receive a 5% discount code for purchases!

Great jacket, heavy duty and with armor. Warm on cold days and cool on hot days. Fast delivery and great value for the money. Will shop LU for majority of my MC needs in the future. Thx

Michael G. from EVINGTON, VA:
Just received my Xelement Bandit Buffalo jacket. The quality of this jacket is amazing for the price! I like the collarless design as it is less cumbersome when moving your head side to side with a helmet on. The sizing is way off if you use the sizing chart. Read the reviews and make your choice of one or two sizes up. I am 6'2" and 205. Normally wear an XL shirt and a 44 tall jacket. Ordered this jacket XXXL. Went up 2 sizes and glad I did. I have room to wear a hooded sweatshirt under it. This jacket compares easily to my 400$ HD jacket. Solid zippers, quality leather, lots of pockets, cool looks. Nice job LeatherUp! First order but not my last!

Christopher T. from VALLEY CENTER, KS:
Received the jacket today in the mail. Great quality, Nice durable material. Only complaint is the inner sleeve snaps to hold the liner in place are very poorly attached. First time I took the jacket off, the snap that holds the liner in place ripped out. Other than that great quality, excellent fit. Like everyone else, order one size up. I normally wear an XXL, ordered a 3XL and it fits perfect.

1. I ordered on last Friday, and received today on Tuesday the day after the Columbus Day. Very satisfied with expedient shipping service. 2. I read a lot of confusion about the sizes. Xelement jacket sizes follow European sizes, so subtract 10. For example, medium size is 48 on chest. So subtract 10 from 48. You will get 38. If you chest size is approximately 38 inches, size medium will fit you perfectly. It did for me. My chest size is 38 inches, 170 lbs, and 5'7". Medium size fits me like a glove as it should. 3. This buffalo leather is OUTSTANDING. It's thick and has high quality stitching. Quality surpassed my expectation. It is not a light leather jacket. Definitely, thickness of this leather is medium-heavy. If I have to crash, I definitely want to crash in this thick buffalo leather jacket for maximum protection. However, because it is a thick leather jacket, it should take some time to break the leather in and mold around my body. 4. What you get for the price is superb. You will end up spending a lot of money for this jacket if you buy a similar quality jacket from a conventional store. 5. Will I buy another leather jacket at leatherup.com? Heck yeah!
