Michael N. from Pearl, MS:
At any price, it's not worth getting soaking wet. First time I used this suit, I got drenched. Had it on correctly, but. Won't be making this mistake again, guaranteed.

Michael H. from CHESAPEAKE, VA:
I have ordered from leatherup a few times before and this is the first time that I have not been completely satisfied with my purchase. I ordered some rain gear (RN4782-Rain-Gear) and I have worn it twice. The first time it was a light rain and I was not out in it all that long so I was very dry. The second time I had a medium downpour and I rode about a half hour in it and I had several areas that were very wet. A few places up around my chest were very wet, the outside edges of the seat of my pants was very wet and my legs around my waterproof boots were wet. Not what was inside my boots but above that. Also I could feel it gradually getting wetter as I rode so I think it just eventually soaked through instead of there being an actual leak. Thankfully the waterproof pocket on my leg was dry because I had entrusted my cell phone to that but never again. It was a great price for the two piece rain suit and now I am wondering if it was too good of a price. I was very excited to get it and believed I had a really quality product in my hands at the time but since using it I have to say I am very disappointed.

greg f. from WEST HILLS, CA:
I purchased this for a river rafting trip to keep me dry. It worked very well concidering I was in cold Idaho River water most of the day. I ordered a small knowing I was not going to wear a heavy jacket underneath. I am 5'11" tall and weigh 180. The jacket was perfect with no restrictions in movement and the pants were a little baggy for what I used this for. This in an excellent product for the money! Hope this helps. G.

GLENN V. from Saddle Brook, NJ:
Have it only a short time, has not seen rain,,, yet. Sturdy high quality suit. Fit is perfect. I'm 6'03" 270lbs and the 3XL fit fine over my riding jackets. Pants are a little heavy due to the heat resistant legs and rubberized seat area. Too bad there are no external pockets on the jacket. Looks and feels like it will last a long time. Collar fits snug right against the chin so most likely will not need to use the hood. Suit is a bit bulky to pack, I rolled it and cinched it tight with a strap buy still takes up a good portion of my saddle bag.

After reading all the reviews I ordered a 2XL, and he has room for a cold weather jacket. My guy is 5'11'' 245lbs and the suit looks great on him. He really likes it despite the sweating under the suit! The price was great and the suit is easy to get in and out of. 4 thumbs up!!

Much heavier material, and better quality, than I expected for the price. Fits well over leathers. Am leaving next week for a three month North America Tour and expect to give it a workout.

kI ordered a medium and Im 5'6" and weigh 163lbs. It is plenty big even if you ride in cold weather with a lot of clothing. You don't have to worry about taking your boots off to put on the suit. If you are 6' and weigh 200 lbs, a large is best to order. It is nice and heavy and will afford you some insulation in the cold. Very reasonable price. Quick response

James G. from Valley, AL:
I'm 6', 245 lbs.. I'm not sure where they get the numbers from on this chart, but I ordered a XL and it is perfect on me over clothes. My wife took a picture with a flash and the reflective parts of the suit was blinding which will be very helpful in low visability conditions. I've yet to use it, but it is quite heavy and takes up most of one saddle bag. The draw string should be made out of heavier cord. I'm sure sooner, rather than later I'll be putting on something a lot heavier if I want to draw the pants tight. Glad I bought it and would advise others to get this one at the price. It is well made and should last a long time. Arnold G., Valley, AL

Very nice rain suit for the money. I have used for almost two years. I have worn the pants more than the jacket during cold weather. I commute to work on my motorcycle until the temperature drops below 35F. The pants work great.

Victoria G. from Vallejo, CA:
Overall I think this suit is a good value and is constructed fairly well. Solid four stars. One gripe: this suit will leak a little. I have already been out riding in a few storms, and I found that a small amount of water seeped in on the outside of each knee. Not too bad though, I went 30 freeway miles in a heavy downpour that day. I'm a 5'10", 160# woman who commutes on a V-Strom. I bought a size large in order to wear it over my armored jacket and pants. I probably could've gotten the medium, since the large is huge. The drawstring waist on the pants and the Velcro side straps on the jacket keep everything adjusted ok though. I really like the grippy seat area of the pants and the high zippered collar on the jacket. The inseam could be a little longer as they tend to rise up (I'm a 32" inseam), but the boot straps help with that. You can't really pull these pants on over boots, but I always put my boots on last anyway. This suit is pretty decent protection for $40. I would recommend it, and buy it again.

David B. from LOUISVILLE, KY:
Great product. I was surprised by the weight. A bit heavier than expected, and that is a good thing. This product will not only keep you dry, but warm too in a cold rain. Regarding size, I'm 6'1", 290, and I wear 2XLT in my shirts/coats. I ordered 3X so it would fit over my kevlar motorcycle jeans and leather jacket or vest. Everything fit perfectly. Plenty of room and comfort over my riding clothes. So it seems the standard advice to buy a size larger than you normal clothes size is correct, at least for me.

Ordered this suit just days before vacation on the bike. Didn't use in rain but it did come in handy when it turned chilly. This suit looks and feels like a great deal. Wouldn't expect better for 3x the price. Hope it's like insurance and never have to use it. Nice suit.

Seams to be well constructed, a good solid suit. Heavy duty and warm. The only problem I had was the flap that covers the zipper on the coat does not cover the zipper on the top 2 inches in the neck area and it does leak a little there. The rain storm I got caught in was very heavy so might not be as much of a problem in a lighter rain. Other than that I am very pleased with the suit.

jack n. from GREENWOOD LK, NY:
bought this rain suit based on the reveiws. it is a solid rainsuit. difinately heavier than those rainsuits that you buy at walmart. the jacket is a three quarter length size which fit perfectly. unfortunately there is too much material in the crotch area which causes the pants legs to ride up over the boots. with the leg straps on to keep them down , it created too much tension to use. will have to buy a different pants.

I have not used it in the rain yet; but it is incredilbly well made; the jacket alone is well worth it. Two friends immediately ordered it when they saw mine. 5'8" 212 lb and the XL is roomy but fine, especially if you are layering up. How do these folks do it? Everything I have bought here exceeded my expecations

Wow is all I can say, was much happier when I received it then when I ordered it! I am sure you all have odered something on-line and when it came, it was not what you thought! Not at all the case here! A great product at a very great price! A few friends saw it and when I told them $40 they said no way it's nicer then my $70 one!!! I think you will be getting more bussiness!! Also it is the rainy seasone here in Fla now, and I have been getting a lot of use of it in the last 3 weeks!!! One time it was raining so hard the 1 hour ride home, took me almost 3 hours I had to keep stopping since I could not see, and there was no place to get out of the rain so I just sat in the POURING Rain and when I got home I was dry as a bone! Thanks and keep up the good work Leatherup!!!

John H. from HOLIDAY, FL:
Very good rain suit, I have not yet had the chance to wear it in the rain but recently when on a trip it turned unexpectedly cold. I put it on and it helped insulate some the drop in temperature. The suit was very comfortable and fit well over the clothes and jacket I was wearing. The one downside which is minor is I could not get the pants on without taking off my boots, even with the zipper. The zipper on the pants legs is in an awkward sport, wish it was more to the inside of the leg. I'm 5'7" and weigh 195 lbs, I got the medium and it fits perfectly. Overall very pleased with it.

William H. from IRVINE, KY:
I ordered this in one-size smaller than I would for a riding jacket. I ordered LARGE, when I wear XL in Xelement riding jackets. The rain-jacket easily fits over my heavy leather classic jacket or any of my other armored riding gear. The front has storm flaps behind and in front of the zipper (with Velcro zipper cover) to really keep the water out. Sleeves are plenty long enough but could be a bit tighter on the wrists. The yellow color is very bright in daylight or rainy days, and the reflective piping could be larger for my tastes, but it does "work" to light you up in poor light. I love how high and tight the neck is when secured tight, because it actually tucks under the edge of my helmet and over my chin which means zero water from my helmet makes its way inside the jacket! The pants are a bit baggy looking when on, but they are tight enough at the ankles, even without the boot-straps, to keep them from riding up at speed, and I love the rubberized seat (no water on the buns) and heat-resistant material on the insides of the lower leg. My ONLY complaint with the pants is they are nearly impossible to put on while wearing my boots! The legs are just slightly too tight, but the mesh lining snags the rubber soles of my boots every inch of the way down (even worse when the boots are wet). I would really preferred them to have zippers to the knees or a smooth lining, but for the price I paid, and the fact that they are truly waterproof makes my minor inconvenience VERY minor, indeed. A few days after receiving this gear, I put it on and went for a ride in a rather nasty rain... I was bone-dry when I returned home, even after 30-min in the weather, riding at speeds up to 60-mph.

I checked the weather and saw it was going to rain here in San Diego for the next few days, ordered a 2XL for my 6'2" 300lb bulk and was wearing it in the rain the very next day! How awesome is that. Fit and quality is good, and I can now ride in Southern California even when it rains and stay dry.

William D. from SHARON, TN:
OK, first the jacket. A very good jacket for the money. bright color, piping is reflective, and the thing closes tighter than a frog's rear end. It IS able to keep you dry. It makes an incredible windbreaker too, and as it closes all the way to your chin, keeps your chin warmer in those frigid rides that normally numb your face inside you helmet. The jacket has a hood, but it is not terribly useful, or at least, not while riding on a motorcycle. It also had a minor leak at the connection with the jacket body on mine right where the hood roll was sewn in. Interestingly, they taped most of the seams on this garment set, and that was a good thing. Pockets on the jacket came in handy too! Now the pants. The one ankle strap and it's snap parted ways within a couple seconds of putting these on. I removed the other strap just so that I would not feel lopsided as the legs migrated up to almost my shins at 15 mph. I am somewhat disappointed at the pants. However, they DO have a nice rubberized rear end, where your bottom meets to seat, so at least if the seat is wet, you are not required to be as well. That part worked. No fly nor provision for it, so if you need to use a urinal, you have to entirely drop these. They are also all but impossible to remove over boots (at least MY boots). It can be done, but it is a royal PITA to do it. Shipping was blazingly fast of course, and the price was amazingly cheap, which is why I still rated this set so high. The jacket is almost worth the cost of the whole thing all by itself!

Excellent fit! I am 5' 11", 195 lbs., and ordered the MEDIUM. Right after receiving this Rainsuit, I put on my X element, armored jacket and Xelement chaps and put on the rainsuit and it fits easily over the jacket and chaps with room to spare. For the price, I am impressed with all the features of this rainsuit: rubberized seating area, heat resistant area at both calves, large rubber lined thigh pocket. I wear a size 13 boot, otherwise I could have put on the rain pants without taking off my boot. I have not had the ocassion to wear the suit on the road since I just received the suit, but since I live in the Pacific Northwest, that ocassion should present itself soon. Buy this suit, you will not be disappointed! Happy (dry) Riding!!
