Byron R. from PUEBLO WEST, CO:
Purchased the "over pants" based on the ratings. I would not call these motorcycle pants, I would call these a rain/cooler temps/over pants. The fit is on the lose side, the armor isn't what I would expect for a level 3. The armor reminds me of football pants I had as a kid. If I compare the armor to what is in my Olympia jacket.....it's not even close. I'm 5-9 and the knee armor is too low. If you are short, you will have shin protection. The bottom of the pant is too lose, and there is not enough velcro/adjustments to get a good snug fit. I will have more velcro sewn in so I can get a snug fit and skip the bell bottom blues. There is no connectors of any kind to mate the pants to any jacket. The belt line is a little narrow and makes me question how long they will hold up in a skid. The vents....are not going to cut it. The two main ones are over the front of your legs. No wind is going to get in there, let alone make it through to the back vents. Aside from the nit picking, these are an awesome deal. If you are looking for cooler weather, wet weather over pant, then this is it. Improvements could be to tighten up the bottom legs, real armor, armor on the hips, larger belt line, connectors to a jacket, more vents. These are over pants.

phil c. from Shoreline, WA:
Excellent value! Only two qualms, mentioned previously by others. First, the sizing is too small. I had just bought two pairs of pants a couple of weeks before. Size 34 waist, they fit perfectly.. I am a size 34 waist. I ordered my m/c pants two inches bigger, to wear over jeans. They will not fit over jeans. I say the pants are sized two inches smaller than the actual size. Order 2 inches bigger. If you want to wear jeans under, order FOUR inches bigger. They are all 32 inch inseam. I wear a 32" inseam and they fit perfect. The other problem I had, was the knee pads sit on the inside of the knee. I didn't really want knee pads, so luckily they come right out. Problem solved. I think for the price you can't go wrong!

Glenn C. from NASHVILLE, TN:
I've had these pants for about a month now. If you are wearing them as overpants buy 2 sizes larger. I wear a 32-32 so I bought a 36 and they work great. The knee pads seem to ride low but when bend your leg like you normally would if you were to fall they are in the correct position. My only complaint is the zipper could be a little longer and I wish they had back pockets. As far as weather, they aren't waterproof but they kept me from getting soaked in a light rain. In warm weather opening the vents kept me cool and in the low 50's like today they blocked the wind so I wasn't cold. I expect these pants would do well in lower temps with the way they block the wind.

Anthony from TEMECULA, CA:
Seriously? Can the manufacturer not measure correctly? Off by two sizes (4 inches)! Someone needs to buy them a new tape measure. Sizing errors simply cost the buyer more when the product has to be returned (because, aparently, the customer is responsible for the manufacturer's inability to properly measure and label their product). I would have like a little more hip protection, though. As with the other reviewer, the knee pads don't really seem to stay in place. Outside of that, the product seems to be pretty good.

At 5'9" and 155lbs the 34" waist fit are too big. I ride a Buell 1125r and the position of the armor is spot on. Pairs great with the CF-330 jacket. HEAT-OUT Base Layer Long Johns are a must for Atlanta in the Summer. The thigh vents do help a little. Great pair of value armor riding pants.

Been waiting for these to get re-stocked and ordered right away. They math my Xelement riding jacket which also has the level-3 armor. Now I will be ready for Autumn riding as they are a bit much for Spring & Summer riding. Craftsmanship & materials look to be quite good and am looking frwd to wearing them. My only negative observation is: are they supposed to have a zipper to attach to a jacket??? I say that because my Xelement jacket has a small horizontally mounted zipper zipper on the inside back.

I ordered a pair with the waist size an inch larger and they fit over my jeans. They are a little long but when I put on my boots it keeps the fabric off of the ground. The knee pads fit nicely. I wore them on a fairly warm day and was happy to note that I did not get hot. There seems to be enough ventilation in the pants to keep them comfortable.

I was over all very pleased with pants. The only problem I have with them is they are a little loose fitting from the knees down. Would have preferred them a little more tight to keep the knee pads in place better.

Great pants. They fit well (not over other pants, though) and feel good. If I had only one complaint, it would be that the leg cuffs cannot be cinched down or tightened slightly. Sometimes on cold mornings, it get cold air that travels up my lower legs. Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

I am very impressed with these riding trousers (pants) the workmanship and material is top notch. Extremely durable, yet light. I am a 34 waist but am just a tad up so they are a bit snug in the waist but I need to shed a couple of pounds. I would say if you are a 32 and tight pushing up to 33'ish and can fit a 34 get a 34, for me I probably could have pushed a 36 but the length is perfect so I think 34 was good choice. I am 6'-0' tall. about 175 ish. These are great really very impressed. It is very refreshing to find a company that is selling quality gear.

These are decent pants - lots of vents for the summer, and fairly comfortable. The only problem is the inseam - it only comes in one size (32'), and for thoese of us that are shorter, the knee pads are in the wrong place. So, unless you're taller than 5'8", I would not suggest these pants.

Great product at great price as long as you guess size correctly. Wear size 32 pants and ordered a 34 to wear over pants in tan/grey and fit okay if a bit tight. Ordered same pants in 36 to be safe in Blk/Grey and just fits with only undershorts on. No way will these go over work pants. Otherwise very durable and several friends have purchased because of look and price. Good luck sizing!

Mike R. from LOS ANGELES, CA:
The pants got to my home quickly and in good condition. I have worn them all week, morning temps ranging from low 40's to low 50's and afternoons in the upper 60's to the mid-upper 70's. Wearing only jeans under the pants, I have been VERY comfortable. The vents work good and amount of venting is adjustable by how far you unzip the generous vents. The narrow elastic panel, just above the knee probably won't stop the rain too well but the lower legs and upper thigh seem well protected. The pockets are big enough to hold a thick wallet in one and cell phone and keys in the other. The lining really helps the pants slide on and off fairly easily. Once zipped and snapped in, they are ON and comfortable. I am 5'10" and wear 36x32 jeans, I orderd a size up, 38's. The pants fit just snug enough around the the upper thigh and up to the waist, and not too loose around the knee and below. These are comuter pants NOT track style pants, so don't expect them to fit, tucked in your Sport Bike Boots. They are more suited for cruiser/touring duty. I also plan to use them as weekend ride pants with base wear underneath, I tried the fit with underarmor and they were very comfortable. If you are planing to use them over pants and you like a more "baggy" fit, I'd get 2 sizes up. Regarding the armor, yeah it does tend to drift around a bit inside the pants, I am definitely going to get those pants on the old sewing machine and run a seam with a dark gray colored thread to match the pants color to set the placement of the armor. I really like these pants and feel they were a great value and look like they are made of quality materials. They feel solid to the touch and when wearing them. I would recommend these pants.

I plan on wearing these over other pants. Definitely get two sizes up - I did and they fit great over pants. Goes well with my matching jacket too. The zippered vents are large enough that I can wear these in the summer and not get too hot.

Nice pants for cutting the wind but not very water repellent due to the elastic panels in the knees and crotch. Would had hoped these riding pants would have serve me for wind, rain, and protection. But for the price I may be able to modify them to work in the rain. I have a 33 waist and the 36 worked over my jeans. Not real impressed with the knee pads. They tend to drift around too much.

Great fit and just the right length. The zipper should have been a little longer because it is a snug pull to get it pulled up over my butt. Rode for 4 hours today, very cumfortable. Have not been in any rain yet to test the waterproof feature. I like them!

Charlie R. from EL PRADO, NM:
Well, these pants fit the bill except for one major design flaw: There are mesh panels over the crotch and just above the knee. Needless to say, certain parts of one's anatomy get a bit chilled on brisk days. They are not waterproof, but they were not billed as such either. I will keep the pants, but will have my wife sew some cordura panels in to cover the mesh. On the plus side, they are long enough when riding to come to one's ankles, and everywhere else besides the the mesh parts, I am comfortably warm on a 40º day

AJ H. from WARNER ROBINS, GA:
I always read the reviews before I buy anything online and doing so I took the advise of others saying two sizes up for over pants and did not worry about the in seam length because I am 6'3" and i usually wear 34 length anyway. The pros they give you the confidence you want while riding and the wind seems to not even hit your legs so if you love speed then these are sweet. The cons Do not listen to every one else about the two sizes up measure yourself with pants on cause you should actually go four sizes up for over pants I normally wear a 33 or a 34 and I got a 36 and they are very tight to get on and squeeze my hips and butt so tight to the point I can barley get them on and it makes them uncomfortable to wear, they have straps on the side that you can tighten up to 2 inches or more down a size if you needed; so no need in getting them that tight unless you like to wear your pants like a woman. However putting the 36 size pants on myself without pants underneath they fit perfect and are very comfortable to ride in all the way around. Wearing them over pants tight causes them to rip at the seams and also in the crotch area because you will not be able to lift your legs normally. There is no but grip so you will slide on your seat and if you are on your sport bike then you will find your package wanting to ride on the tank which can be uncomfortable. The inseam fit me fine walking around but riding the bike they look like high waters without boots to cover the gap. There is no easy access to pee in these pants if you have pants underneath either but are fine if you are not wearing under pants. They only have two side pockets that are not made to hold much so don't plan on carrying much unless you have extra to carry your stuff in. Last con would be that if you have a butt then these will make you look like you don't and if you don't have one then no problem.

Allen M. from BRICK, NJ:
went with a size 42 (I am a 38-40) as I wanted to use these as an overpant. Size worked out perfectly. Very comfortable and do well in blocking wind and rain. I am a M/C Commuter (to work) and there are very few days that I dont ride. Coldest day so far when I left home in the AM is 20 Deg. F and these pants over Fleece lined Jeans kept me warm the entire 40 - 45 minute ride to work @ GSParkway speeds of up to 85 MPH. Some stitching is fraying a little but I melt the nylon with a lighter and it seems to stop same. GREAT bang for the buck. At $59.95 I wont care if the only last a few winters. I'll just buy another pair.

Good deal; definitely order at least one size up to wear over pants. I ordered two sizes up and they fit well with the adjustable waist. All motorcycle pants have a longer inseam, so they are a little long but is not a problem. I wear them in commute to work; temp one morning was 38F and they kept me warm.

Peter B. from OVERLAND, MO:
Like other reviewers, I ordered two sizes up to wear these over pants, and that works out really well. Also, they're long. I wear a 32" inseam, but I found I"m walking on the ends, even in my boots. When on the bike they do pull up and are fine, not in danger of catching on anything. The knee pads do move around too much, it'd be nice if there was a strap or something to hold them in place. To shorten them a little bit I just cuffed the ends inside and that helped quite a bit. These absolutely help with the wind on cold days, but I'm skeptical that the knee pads would stay in a useful position in the event of a crash. They do seem like they would resist water very well but I've not tested that yet.

These were made well, just WAAAY too long to even try to use. I am only 5'7" and these were a good 8 inches too long. The knee protection ended up in the middle of my shins! I will need to look for pants at my local cycle shop to make sure I get a pant with the proper length. I exchanged the pants for a pair of boots so hopefully they will fit better than the pants.

I ordered one size larger based on earlier recommendations and glad I did, they just fit over a pair of jeans. The knee pad issue discussed is also true, they were more like shin-guards! I just took them out, they were very uncomfortable while sitting on the bike, the pants are fine with the knee pads out. Other than the knee pad problem these are nice pants.

Nice pants for the money. I ordered a size 38 to fit over my work khakis which are size 36 and they fit fine. I am using them for cold mrnings of commuting here in Atlanta. I believe they will also work with shorts in warmer weather for pleasure riding. I feel much safer in traffic and I am much warmer as well. My inseam is 30 with khakis and 32 with jeans. They are a bit long but that works well with my short dress boots. If I had to walk very long in them the length would be annoying.

I recieved these two days after I ordered them...can't really get much faster than that with free shipping but I'm returning them because they just aren't what I was expecting. They are really sweet pants but I was hoping for something a little thicker. My snowboarding pants seem thicker and because of having to order a size up the knee pads were down on my shins. I'm sure this would be a great product for someone but I'm going to go with some good 'ol leather chaps instead and see how that goes.

I believe that if you are between 5'9"-5'11 they are right for you. Contruction is top notch and the looks too. I'm ready to get them in all the colors available pretty soon.
