David from Holden, UT:
I have been watching this product online for quite awhile. Couldn't quite bring myself to purchasing the helmet due to cost. I felt the helmet would be too good to be true based on the price. Wow, was I wrong. So glad I finally purchased the helmet. The interior visor is great! The helmet fit great. Sizing chart is spot on. I really like the buckle chin strap for quick release. So much easier to fasten and release than the standard D rings in most helmets. I have really enjoyed this helmet so far. Would definitely recommend to a friend. If you're looking and considering whether or not to purchase don't wait just add it to your cart. You definitely won't be sorry.

I really like this helmet so far. Fits great. Sizing chart is accurate. Very comfortable. Not too heavy. Very quiet. I only complaint would be that the tinted visor could go down a little more. but not a big deal. Overall very pleased with this helmet.

Just bought the helmet and haven't had a chance to use it yet BUT fit is good based on the chart, finish is good, accessories are good and overall I am pleased. I had a GLD-900 but am waiting to ship it back on a recall. The 900 fogged up when completely closed and that ezxperience will surely serve me using this helmet. Only thing is...it would be nice if they gave you some instructions on how to remove the clear visor. It was easy on the 900 but I don't want to wreck this one trying to figure out how to remove for cleaning or possible replacement of the clear visor. And of course leatherup had fast delivery.

Scott H. from HIAWATHA, IA:
I previously was wearing the newer Hawk GLD-911 that I liked, but that helmet was recalled. This helmet does not have the upper vents that the GLD-911 had, but I think I will like it just as much. Love the modular front that I don't have to remove my glasses to take the helmet on and off, and the flip down tinted visor is great for riding to work early when the sun is just coming up. Very good value at $80 shipped, compared to my friend's major name modular helmet that cost over $400.

Robert B. from NATIONAL CITY, MI:
This helmet is a replacement for a recalled helmet and it being rather cold at the moment in Norhtern Michigan I can only give our initial impression of hee helmet. We are very satisified with the fit and looks. It is a very comfortable helmet to wear, lighweight and the venting appears to be excellent. The inernal sun visor is very nice and the chin strap is much more convenient to fasten than the old D-ring syle. Ovealll it seems to be a great helmet expecially for the price. Once April rolls around we will actaully take it rding, then we will know for sure.

An outstanding value. The helmet has all the benefits of the more expensive brands. Extremely comfortable and durable and gives all the protection possible in a helmet. I really like the drop-down sun visor and it's easily accessible while riding in those quick switch times. My suggestion would be grab one while you can

I received the helmet a couple of days after I ordered it which was great. It fit good, all of the gadgets worked, also good, but there were a couple of marks on top of the helmet. The marks do not wipe off, not good. I guess this is why Leatherup has them marked down so low. Buyer beware, sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you don't.

This is my second one. Great helmet for the bucks and easily accepts electronics of your choice. Hawk needs to follow up with a replaceable clear shield for this helmet as it is bound to get scratches over time.

For the price you cant go wrong. The dual visor works great!! Works with your left hand so you can still stay on the throttle. Was not even thinking about a modular helmet until I seen this one. Great Value and seems well made. I ordered this helmet one size smaller than my other ones (due to reviews) and it fit perfect. Great job again Leatherup!!

Jim R. from LOUISVILLE, KY:
This is a good-looking fullface modular helmet and a good value! Sizing chart was spot-on and I really like the internal sun shade feature. I've withheld a 5-star rating because the clear visor operation is not as easy or smooth as it should be -- it takes both hands and lots of pressure to raise visor, which seems to catch on something, and while ventilation is good I it add noise. Shipping and service from LeatherUp were great!

Jerry F. from HERRIMAN, UT:
Ordered two of these. One for me and one for my wife. We wear a medium on all of our head gear. We ordered these in med. and they are too small. We sent them back and asked for the large size. They fit great. Lots of space for speakers for intercom. The company had our order back to us in great time. Not one question on our return. Thank you for making it so simple. Will order again on other things we just can't live without. Happy riding. P.S. The dark inner visor, what a great idea.

Bought it for my wife. Size runs a little big. Not too "funky" looking on the back of my ElectroGlide even when I'm not wearing a helmet. Only complaint is the vent control on top of the helmet. hard to operate even without gloves. She likes not having to remove her glasses to put the helmet on.

This is my first modular helmet, takes a little getting used to. The only issue I have is the top vent rattles-open or closed. I have tried 4 helmets and they all have the same problem. For the price it is a pretty good deal, I fixed the vent issue myself.

Kenneth L. from Tempe, AZ:
JAY LENO BEWARE If you have a prominent chin, be aware that the release button for the face projects into the inside of the helmet. I have an issue with almost all helmets. But it's usually solved by removing some of the hard foam from the inside of the chin. On this helmet, no dice. Sizing seems a tiny bit more generous, otherwise, compared to my previous 2 XL JHC helmets. This would be a very comfortable helmet if my chin wasn't in the top percentile. :) This being my first flip up helmet, I have noticed that it is noticeably louder. Despite all that, I'm definitely keeping it in the lineup.

LeatherUp delivers the goods, again! An excellent helmet for an excellent price. The drop-down visor is worth the price of admission alone. It saves me from having to carry sunglasses AND my regular glasses. I live on Maui and have to wait weeks to get stuff. Not so with LeatherUp. My helmet was here in two days! My old helmet feels like a bucket compared to this one. And it doesn't give me "helmet neck", either.

Fits per the chart, good comfort, visor is very usefull. Have used on long rides in all weather and the base is a bit open letting some wind in, a good thing in warm weather not in cold. All in all for the price a very good helmet and I am pleased with it. The 10% off coupon makes Hawk an even better deal. I would purchas one again from LeatherUp.

Joseph H. from MINOOKA, IL:
Purchased this helmet at the beginning of summer 2011. I've worn it all summer and fall and I love it! Dual visor is the only way to go. Only problem I've had is fogging on colder days when I have the outside visor all the way down. Needs a little better ventilation. Also, top vent rattles whether it is open or closed. All in all a very comfortable lightweight helmet that doesn't skimp on safety to give you comfort. Once again > DUAL VISOR!!

Great service and great product -- as always. I'm a regular customer. I've had to make two exchanges over time and they went seamlessly and quickly. This helmet is a great buy. Love the features and the fit. I used the sizing chart and found myself right on the line between a small and a medium. I went for the small. It's perfect.

I really like this helmet for the sun shield. Have wanted one for a long time. I will have to say though that I don't agree with the sizing. I wore a Large in a Fulmer Helmet. But I went with the size chart here and risked buying a medium. I believe a large would have been better for me after all. Overall though I have enjoyed this new helmet. I gave it a 4 star because I think they could have done a little better on the ventilation. No serious issues though and I have ridden with it in 105 temps so I still do recommend this helmet.

Deepak G. from JEFFERSONVLLE, PA:
Gave good rating because of excellent price and the inner visor. Also the ease with which inner visor can be operated. Just one complain- some how i feel there is more wind noise for a full face helmet. I tried closing and opening the vents and also made sure that the front visor is locked but still the wind noise felt more. Also If you have thin frame like me , the helmet might look too big on your body. I ordered M size (6'2'' 170lb)

Michael B. from FPO, CA:
This is a good helmet, I did not say excellent! You always get what you pay for. The plastic mechanical mechanisms are noticeable in that they click and grind. The red button which allows you to flip up the chin piece sticks if pressed in to far, hence the front is then NOT locked down. You then must remove to helmet to press and play with the red button downward fashion to un-stick it, so I have to be careful in how I press it. Overall, I like this helmet, because it flips up, and has the inner sun shield. In fact I bought one for my wife because it flips up and has an inner sun shield, but we have not used it yet, it will be interesting to see if her red button sticks or if that is just my helmet.

First off, this helmet has it all. Very nice features. Second, I have an HJC helmet that I wear a large. I ordered a large in this helmet, and it was too big. I returned for a medium. Fits better. Leatherup really is what everyone says it is. They sent out another one no problem. You won't go wrong with this helmet, especially for the money. The dark visor is controlled by a slide on the side of the helmet. Pretty cool. Just slide it for up and down when you need it. You don't have to open the clear sheild or take off the helmet to do this. Like I said, pretty cool.l

Jack H. from CAMAS, WA:
Great helmet, great price. I got this helmet primarily for winter riding and it has exceeded my expectations. The dual visor is great, it's very convenient to be able to simply flip the sun visor up and down as I need it. My only complaint would be that the sun visor hangs down a little in the up position but doesn't obstruct my view at all. It's a little heavier than I'm used to but still comfortable after riding for a few hours. I would highly recommend this helmet.

Daniel W. from PHOENIX, AZ:
This is a pretty good helmet but it does have its quirks. The internal sun visor is great and the main reason I bought this helmet. Often I find myself riding to work before sunrise and arriving after sunrise. It really helps to have this visor. It is also easy to lift the clear visor with the sun visor down to give extra ventilation on warm days. The quirks are: the little red piece on the button is just glued on, and is already half falling off. The vent at the top vibrates noisily especially at freeway speed, whether it is open or not. My biggest gripe is the cheap chin strap. It is thin and not well padded. It and the padding tend to get twisted up easily. I would pay extra for a decent chin strap.

The quality and functionality of this helmet are excellent, the size chart was right on target. The helmet has great ventilation, no fogging, keeps you cool in summer days and warm in cold/windy days. The inner dark visor is excellent (you dont need to struggle with sun glasses). A simmilar helmet from other brands might cost you up to $120.00 USD more, therefore you can't beat the price. You can't beat LeatherUp prices. No problems with the order, I had my helmet two days after placing the order. I would recommend this product.
