james h. from Bacliff, TX:
Really good leather. Very good fit and finish. I am tall and skinny and mostly wear the skinny jeans so I took a chance on the 34 waist (same as jeans). Absolutely perfect fit. Just right in waist, seat and even the length. Just finished 1400 mile trip with temps from the eighties to mid forties. Comfortable all the way. I would highly recommend these. Good fit, quality and price. Win, Win, Win

Eldon S. from GOSHEN, IN:
Ordered one size larger and they fit tight in the thighs. sent them back the next day ordering two sizes larger than my pant size. One week later I received the pants and a perfect fit. No charge for the re ordering. The pants are keeping me warm on the brisk mornings, I have a forty five minute ride to work on a four lane highway. Got caught in the rain one evening and was dry when I got home, unlike when I wore chaps.

I recently bought these leather pants for a 10 day ride through Colorado where temperatures reached into the low 40's plus wind chill factor while riding in high altitudes of the Rockies. The pants worked better than I expected and fit perfect. Thank you for a great product.

Phillip Q. from Grottoes , VA:
This is the second time in 10 years that I have ordered these pants and the 2nd time I've had to return them due to the waist size being FAR smaller than the size I normally wear. 10 years ago my jeans and all other pants I wore were 36's. I believe I ordered that size or a 38. They were at least 32's. Now my normal size is 38 and that is what I ordered. They were not remotely close to being 38's, 34's maybe. In all fairness I have not spoken to anyone at Leather Up but there appears to be a communication problem as to how to properly order these pants.

Michael B. from ST GEORGE, UT:
Completely satisfied. Ordered one size over as instructed resulted in great fit over jeans. Just returned from 600 mile trip in hot weather, some rain, and lots of bugs. Lots of protection from the elements. I especially appreciate the ease of putting them on and taking them off. Easily slip over my size 12 boots.

Nice pair of pants but I should have ordered 2 sixes larger one is a little tight. I wear 36 waist and ordered 38. I am 6 feet tall and weight around 215. The pants seem to stretch a little after wearing for a while. All in all a good heavy leather that adds a lot of protection on long rides.

Curtis A. from Carrollton, TX:
Happy with the pants. Leather appears to be good quality. Ordered 2 waste sizes up based on other reviews and glad I did, fit just right. I'm 6'3", 220 lbs with a 33" inseam. They are a little stiff when sitting but imagine they will conform or stretch as I wear them. Also, did not need to cut length surprisingly. The length they come in is just right when sitting on the bike or using highway pegs.

At 6'2" I was a little surprised that the pants were so long on me. However, once I put the boots on the length was great. The one size larger was a little snug with my work clothes, but probably better than two sizes. Really happy with these pants.

very nice! when sizing think about where these will fit. I'm older and my chest has slipped down a little, these are 12 inches above inseam and can't be worn around your hips and get on you bike. older guys who might have a bit of belly should order 2 sizes larger. Also put them on and get on your bike before trimming leg length.

The overpants work great but they do need to be ordered two sizes larger. I wear a 34 waist and I originally ordered a 36 which would not have been confortable while riding. I exchanged them for a 38 waist which is great over pants especially id they are insulated pants or you wear a belt on your pants

My guy is 6'-5" so I ordered 2 sizes larger for the length - might have to wear his belt with the over pants but the length worked perfect. Soft and supple perfect fit, not too tight. The other big web site did not even have a sizing chart - all waist sizes came with a 32" inseam. Would recommend these to anyone!

Great quality and workmanship. I had to order 2 sizes up for good fit since they are an overpant. I'm 6-3 and 265 with a 38 inch waist and ordered a 42. Little baggy in crotch but when sitting on my bike they're perfect.

Very good quality leather - supple and comfortable. Definitely order a size up for a tighter fit, 2 sizes up for looser fit. Love the fact u can just cut off the extra length instead of getting them hemmed. Bought them for my man and he loved them. Excellent value!

Tim G. from LAFAYETTE, IN:
Just ordered my second pair of these pants. I got fat so needed a new pair. Had the first pair for 2years and they still looked new, and I wore them a lot. I donated those pants to charity auction for a biker family, and everyone was impressed by the quality. When I get fat again, I'll buy another pair. No need for me to shop around.

Cornelius B. from MILWAUKIE, OR:
I bought these in a 38, I wear a 36 , they came to the house and they do look good , but guys , really unless you like skinny jeans, then I would HIGHLY suggest that you buy a pair 4 sizes than you wear each day. I opened the package and I was impressed. I did have to send them back because the thighs are tight, and getting on the bike I looked like I had arthritis in my legs. Now I was skeptical about what I was going to receive in the mail but the item is heavy leather, it is lined from the top of the pants to about where you calves are. So if you do squats in the morning or have some big ass thighs, or exercise on a regular basis , you are going to have to get 4 sizes bigger, You wear a 36 get a 40 , wear a 32 get a 36, get get the picture. The one thing about these pants I did like is that in the summer time you can wear shorts underneath these bad boys and you will not look like a jerk in shorts on your bike. It was worth the money, so now I waiting for the size 40. Oh the zippers on the side , they are nice . They are metal zippers not that crap that is nylon that will bust when bend over to tie your boots. This is the stuff that is still made in countries that does not have a lot of technology. The stitching is tight, I could not see any flaws anywhere in the stitching on all the pants and especially the zipper parts. Spend the money it will be worth it.

These are great for those cold rides to work in the morning! Very comfortable. I'm a 38" waist, ordered a 40" and they fit great over my pants. They are a little long, so I just trimmed a little off the bottom with shears. Very satisfied.

I'm 6'2 275lb guy. I bought this item in a 46 cause I'm a 42 in pants normally. One size over pant size would of been to small. Two sizes over normal pant size was just right. I road 700 miles first time out with them, and had never worn chaps or leather pants while riding till now and have been riding since 05. I was amazed on how great this item is. I'd recommend to anyone! Rubber side down

Brittany H. from LITTLE ROCK, AR:
Works well at keeping you legs warm on those late fall/winter/early spring rides. I am a size 34 and ordered a 38 and it fits well over a pair of jeans. A little loose in the midsection, but a belt helps. I wouldn't have a size smaller because it would have been too tight on my legs. The only downsides are that the zippers seem to be plastic and the leather isn't as durable as I would like (marked up the first tie I knelt on the ground). Overall, a great deal for the price and it serves its purpose well.

Up until now, the only other leather "overpants" I knew about were made by Icon and cost $250. Then, they quit selling them. These leather overpants are exactly what I needed for cold weather commuting and come at such an affordable price that my wife bought a similar pair for herself. I usually wear 34 and bought the 36 just to be safe and they fit great over a pair of jeans or khakis. The full length side zippers make for quick on/off, but make sure you don't unzip all the way to the top or you will have to fidget to reconnect the sides.

These Xelement leather over pants are as advertized. Yes you do need to order two sizes up. I wear a 40 in jeans so I ordered a size 44. Mine fit perfectly over my jeans. This gives you the most freedom of movement without binding. The leather is thick and soft. This is the best deal for the money.

Orderd my pants in late fall. I did order a size larger than regular pants. They fit well, are constructed of heavy leather, and have plenty of excess length that can be trimmed with a razor knife. I have ridden in 40 degree weather, and found them to be warm and windproof. With fleece sweatpants. I think they would stay comfortable in freezing conditions. Unbeatable for a great price.

Going two sizes up worked for the fit. The only complaint so far is that the crotch zipper broke the second time I wore them. Had a new zipper put on for 8 bucks, figured that would be cheaper than sending them back and then possibly having the same problem later on.
