John L. from MCHENRY, IL:
I am very pleased with this jacket. It fits like a glove and is light enough to keep the morning chill out on my commute then open the vents for the trip home and enough air passes through to keep cool in 80 degree weather. I would buy this again if it ever wares out.

Ronald B. from EDMONDS, WA:
The jacket appears to be quality made with excellent features that I am sure will add to my riding enjoyment. I definitely should have heeded the other reviews regarding sizing of the jacket. I have a 46 inch chest and 34 inch waist. I ordered the large size and it fits very tight. I quit smoking 6 months ago and have put on 15 pounds. I am not going to return the jacket for a larger size but will focus on losing at least 10 of the 15 pounds I've gained. I am disappointed in the delivery service used by LeatherUp for shipping their products. On Trac, the delivery service, left my package out in the open at the row of mailboxes where I live. I found it two days after the supposed delivery date. On Trac used very poor judgment leaving it out in the open. The apartment office is located next to the mailboxes, they accept packages and On Trac had to walk right past the office to get to the mailboxes.

Jolande C. from HOLLY HILL, FL:
I purchased this for my husband after he saw the ladies jacket I purchased for myself. It arrived today and he absolutely loves it. Fit is great. I am glad that I upsized it per all the recommendations from everyone else. Two sizes up is absolutely perfect. Great pricing for this jacket with super features. I don't think we'll need the lining in Florida but who knows. It's nice to know we have that should it ever get cold. Great value for money. Thanks Leatherup.

Dan J. from TACOMA, WA:
Wanted a jacket that wasn't heavy leather and gave good protection from the elements. As I live in the northwest USA. I bought one a year ago. I'm 5'8"195 lbs. with a small gut. My arms from the top of the shoulder to just below the wrist are 23 in. With the liner the XL jacket fits perfectly. Not to snug. Not to loose. Warm enough for cool mornings/evenings. Cool enough for warm days. It's a well made good quality jacket. Should last for many years.

Rich D. from CASPER, WY:
Excellent jacket! First, the fit. As with all Xelement jackets, it runs small. I'm 5/10, 280 with broad shoulders and massive chest. I normally wear a 2x everything, but I had bought a previous Xelement jacket at 3x and it was tight in the chest, so I got this one at 4x and it fits almost perfectly. The only issue is with getting a 4x, the sleeves are a little long. My elbows still land in the armor, though. Other than that, its the jacket seems exceptionally durable and keeps me warm enough when riding to work in the 40s-50s without the liner. During warmer days, opening the vents lets a lot of air through and keeps me relatively cool. I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a good riding jacket.

Robert F. from NEW PHILA, OH:
This jacket is great. Just what I wanted. I originally ordered a 2X, but returned it as it was very small for a 2X. Went with a 4X and it is still tight in the abdominal area. Keeps me cool while riding, gets warm in the sunlight, but once the air gets moving, very comfortable.

Most jackets are for younger riders with a flat stomach, so older riders need to order a size larger. Good jacket for the price.

This is a good looking solid jacket. I didn't know what size to order, so I ordered the large (my regular size) thinking that my daughter could wear if it was too small for me. It ended up being perfect for me, so I will be purchasing a medium for her if they don't run out first.

Was needing a jacket for fall/colder weather riding. Have done a ton of research on line, referred to LeatherUP by a friend, Boy was I glad I found this site!!! Was looking for HD colors when i came across this beauty!!! My jacket arrived today, fast shipping from LU. i have not had a chance to try it out yet, BUT let me tell you, this jacket ROCKS!! It is very well made, lots of pockets, with and without the liner. I really like the zip out liner instead of one that buttons into place. i can not wait to ride in this jacket!!! I love it. I am going to order one for my wife, but her size is unavailable right now. I will be back. Leather Up you have just gained a new customer for life! thank you. Darrell

Basic riding jacket has an exceptional airflow for hotter rides...zipper liner for cooler weather but not late fall or winter...I am a 6 foot...185 lb guy...XXL was the right size....you need a size or two larger than you usually buy....excellent price point for this armored jacket....Leatherup has built a quality/low cost product..Greg

Merritt L. from BEAVERTON, OR:
Listen to the other reviews, this is an excellent jacket for an even better price! Definitely order a size up as suggested, I'm a skinny 5'10" guy and the large fits perfect, the sleeves are long enough for my lurpy arms, yet it's snug across the chest so it's not flapping around all the time. The quilted liner inside easily zips out and the adjustable sleeve snaps are great. The armor feels durable yet comfortable, and gives me peace of mind for those "just in case" scenarios. If you're looking at this jacket, don't look any further. Buy it.

Great jacket for spring/summer riding. Quality construction with nice style. Amazing price. Xelement makes superb cycle wear and LeatherUp provides sweet prices. I'm a slim 6' tall guy and a medium fits me well. Air flow is good on hot days.

Just received my jacket yesterday May 22nd. Glad I went one size up. Perfect fit other then the seleves maybe alittle too long. Being a Vietnam Vet. U.S Marine Corp. My bike is total Marine colors and the jacket fits in well. I will be proud to wear this jacket when a number of us Ride to the Wall this Memorial Day weekend. Leathersup, your products are of high quality. I have ordered many items from Leathersup and I never was dissapointed.

Craig B. from MT HOLLY SPGS, PA:
I should not have listened to the reviews about sizing up. I am 5'10". around 190 and a 34-35 waist. I don't have a gut. The XL was too long in the sleeves and a bit baggy. I usually wear a large. So back it went and let me tell you, the large seems like it was tailored just for me. The fit was spot on. I do like a close fitting jacket for riding so those other reviewers saying to size up probably like a baggy fit. Everyone's body is slightly different though. Have not tested it in rain yet but seems like a great jacket for the price. You can't go wrong. And the colors look cool (matches my orange helmet).

This jacket is way under sized. My normal is a 2x Tall and had to order a 4x. Was a great deal with discount until I spend 15.00 dollars shipping it back for the right size. Awesome Jacket that is well worth the money for comfort and wear-ability. Still worth money as same jacket at Harley was 249.00 with 2 emblems. The only reason for a 4 star is there size chart sucks. Ride on! Highest rated safety jacket/waterproof/zip out liner...Win Win.

This jacket is pretty nice, and looks great as well. The sale price is really bringing it home. However as many others have posted, it is very short. I generally wear lower end large/medium. I order a XL based on the other reviews and it was spot on. The sleeves are a tad longer than they need to be, and the length needs to be at least another four inches. That being said if you are not overly heavy the straps will tighten the bottom on you. The jacket feels as if it is made for a woman based on the lenght, due to the general waist line being higher than a man. Overall a great jacket with a great price.

Ryon H. from TWIN FALLS, ID:
The jacket is warm and wind resistant. However, unless you are muscular with a short torso, you may not be satisfied with it. If you have a long torso or are thick around the midriff, definitely consider upsizing by at least 2 sizes. The waste band won't expand enough to fit a heavier set rider without riding up the torso. If you look like an MMA fighter, you might be in luck.

Ordered this Jacket and it arrived very quickly thanks for that leather up. as for the jacket it is very nice it is defiantly a tight fit I wear size XL under armor polo's and they fit right not tight not loose just as a reference to size and ordered a 2 XL jacket and it is quite snug I am 5" 10" 240 with a muscular build it looks awesome though and it does have the foam armor in the back elbows and shoulders have not yet got to try out how waterproof it is I like the slack adjusters on the hip area and the fact that I can zip the jacket to motorcycle pants if I want to I the zip out liner is nice have not had to use it yet it has not been cold and there are plenty of pockets with and with out the liner. I think plenty of bang for the buck here just make sure you order a size larger. thanks a lot leather up love the jacket.

Great Jacket for the money! Well ventilated and yes be careful on the sizing. I did up the size by 1 but needed to up it by 2. Fits OK, little snug and because I went to the 3x the sleeves are a bit long. The 2x sleeves were fine. The return policy was flawless no issues with delivery.

Nice Jacket, wish it came in a tall size! Came in Handy on recent ride to Whidbey Island, WA. Rode thru a desert to get there, but when temp dropped jacket really came in handy. I normally wear XL but bought XXL & it fit just right. Zipped out the liner & didn't need it. I have a leather jacket for cold weather. Leather $320, Xelement $69 Wish I would have bought this jacket first. would saved me $320

Great jacket. I didn't see any "big boy" reviews. I'm 5'7 260 and ordered a 4x. It fits a little loose but it is how I like it. The zipper broke on the liner but I live in Louisiana so its not that big of a deal. I don't use a liner anyway. But a great looking jacket.

Richard S. from HERNDON, VA:
Arrived at my door five calendar days after order, the swiftest delivery yet after over a dozen orders from LeatherUp. (The average being seven days from order to delivery) The material is durable and the armor is a welcome addition, particularly at this price. The sizing is tight, as are pretty much all Xelement jackets. What surprised me, and had I checked the photos more thoroughly I would have noticed it, was the lack of a velcro strip around the base of the sleeve. The zipper on the sleeve cuff doesn't cinch it up very much. Good for warm weather ventilation, but for the winter months, a generously sized gauntlet will be required. The classic Harley-Davidson color scheme, orange accents on black, looks sharp. It impressively matches a helmet from a different manufacturer, which had two slim orange stripes on a black background. I am mostly satisfied with the quality of the jacket, and would recommend it, mentioning my sleeve caveat.

the jacket its self seems really nice a well made...more so for the great price paid on leather up...however....im 5'9" 180 and usually wear a med or sometimes large jacket....so after reading everyone on here screaming to order a size up i figured i would be safe with a LARGE...WRONG...i was swimming in it...had to send it back on my dime for 17 bucks....hopefully the med will get here soon and it will fit...i will update when that happens.

I have been meaning to write a review for a while. Originally i was going for 4 stars as there are very minor issues like poor zippers. After i hit a deer this morning and actually got to see what this thing is made for, it gets 5 stars. I have a broken bone in my wrist and leg but no road rash or injuries where this jacket covered. The sleeves are now torn but the level 3 armor did its job. I am 5-10 230 and the 2 xl fits good. I wear a 48 reg suit coat. My leather up helmet is now damaged as well so it looks like i will be getting another jacket and helmet soon.

Got my Jacket yesterday, what a nice jacket, love the padding, and color. Ok followed all the size warnings, so here is my two cents. I wear most Harley Leather jackets XXL they fit slightly baggy. but I ordered the XXXL for this and the fit is perfect, snug, but not super tight, take the liner out even more room. I would say I could take liner out, wear a sweater under, but would be snug, snug with liner. So fits snug as a jacket for riding should, but the arms have plenty room to move too. 6 ' 245 Lbs 52 chest, so good luck.

Thomas T. from LAREDO, TX:
First off, I am a real customer, I was not given this product or being paid to write a review. Now the review: I bought the jacket 2 sizes larger and it fit like a glove. I also ordered a helmet at the same time and Leatherup sent both items very fast. The jacket is of great quality and I only have one complaint which is such a small issue its hardly worth mentioning. I live in Laredo, Texas, it is VERY hot here and I ordered this over leather hoping it would be much cooler. I removed the liner and opened the vents and it was still not as cool as I had hoped. otherwise it would have got 5 stars.

Great jacket at a great price, but I missed the fact that the wrist cuffs are not adjustable, so when it is cold the air flows right into your arms. As far as sizing, I am 6'5" 225 and usually wear XL in shirts, but the XXL is what I needed in this jacket, confirming other reviews that the jacket runs small.

Bought this as my first riding jacket. I wear it whenever I ride. The sizing does run small, so make sure you take that into consideration. I like that you can remove the pads and liner. During the summer I took out liner and the back pad and was just fine. The venting is great on this jacket, I am very comfortable in both hot and cooler riding environments. It does hold up well againt the wind on highway trips. Does well in the rain as well. Strongly recommend this jacket and leatherup!

This was my first motorcycle jacket. I went by the chest measurement and the fit is great. I haven't had a chance to ride in colder weather yet but without the liner it is certainly cool enough to ride even in hot weather. Great jacket, great price, superior service from Leather Up. I ordered this jacket true to size (44 XL), and it was too snug to even wear with or without the liner. I returned it for a 3XL which is normally to big for me. The 3XL fit perfectly. It seemed maybe one size too big at first, but the adjustable waist and sleeves make it fit almost anyone of any size. I'm extremely satisfied with the service from Leather Up. I received my replacement jacket within 5 business days following the received email notice. P.S. This jacket does look really good in person.

Order the jacket one size bigger than you would normally buy. I am usually XL and I went with a XXL and I am glad I did. Jacket did what it should, very good at wind and rain protection. I am a little disappointed with the lining. After wearing it just one weekend the inside of the pockets are already ripping and the inside of the jacket is starting to fray.
