Johnny Y. from North Hollywood, CA:
I've been using this jacket about a month now or so. And I have to say. I really like it. It's light weight very airy. I don't think it's going to keep you warm in the cold. But it works great on the those warm days. I used it on a 362 mile ride I took about a week ago. Part of my ride was on the coast, but the other half of that ride was inland and hot. 105 hot. For the most part I was pretty comfortable with the jacket on in the heat.

LOVE THIS JACKET! I wish I would have seen this before I purchased the Leather Jacket...don't get me wrong the leather jacket is great but for summer heat...too hot. This Jacket is perfect. Zip out the liner and it keeps cool even on a hot day. Fit was dead on with the size chart....I usually wear 2XL....chart said to get a 3XL...it was right. This is a great jacket with great features at a great price...thank you...

Caston D. from MOORPARK, CA:
I can see why this jacket is Leatherup's most popular seller. I was expecting less than what I received. It is perfect for riding in CA. I like the look, the style, the armor, the zip out lining, and the ability for it to breath. To help those trying to figure out the sizing I am 5'9", 172 lbs, 32" waist and ordered an XL. The size is perfect to wear alone with no liner and to layer to some extent with liner in place. I would recommend this jacket to friends. BTW - ordering was easy and shipment was fast. Fortunately I like all that I ordered and it fits (thanks to all the other reviews commenting on sizing recommendations) so I have not had to check out Leatherup's return policy.

Better buy the next size up as several folks are saying. Shipping it back to exchange it kills the discount you're getting on a great mesh jacket.

Jeffrey D. from ONTARIO, NY:
Nice coat, great price, fast shipping, but it does not fit. Sizing charts not accurate as the reviews attest to. Ordered larger than chart but still too small.Had to return, but at a cost of $32.95 to ship from NY to LA I cannot again spin the roulette wheel of proper fit. I may need a tall size which would mean a different coat with different sizing. If you could supply your measurements and Leatherup determine what size is needed it would be great. Good Luck!

This jacket runs very small and short. I am a tall guy but most 2X stuff fits me with plenty of room an enough length. I ordered this jacket in 3X and wish I had ordered 4X or better yet, something else in a tall size. If you're average size or small, this would be a good choice. It is not for large, tall people, however.

Great jacket for the price. Fit and finish is nothing but good quality. Tons of pockets outside and inside. The fit is suspect, like everyone says. 5'10" and 180. Normally wear a large, but went up one and it fits perfect. Just received it today, so no rating on vents and lining, but looks like it will do the job. May want one more size up if you are going to wear a sweat shirt under it. But then may be to sloppy with the liner out in warm weather. Over all glad I found this jacket.

Gintautas J. from Phoenix, AZ:
The jacket is good buy for the buck.It runs sizes smaller. So I had no chance towear it and to ship it back it is too expensive. It looks comfortable. Except the sleaves. Even if you take liner out, it still has winter jacket sleave cufflings! So it is really hot summer time, even is wind blows thru the sleave mesh. It is the reason why I did not order size larger.... I bought different jacket. From LeatherUp ! Just different model. Gauge Mesh Jacket, by Power Up, from LeatherUp company. Size was perfect, great for Arizona Summer, perfect fit.

Great riding Jacket. I think it is most important to say what size you are and what size fit. I am 5' 8" and weight 279. I ordered a 5X and it fit great (normally I wear a 3X). It is snug and stays put while I ride. The quality is great and the cost was fantastic.

The jacket is great! It is light weight and has a liner that will keep you warm in the Fall months. I recommend this jacket. The one button I unbuttoned on the arm sleeve popped off before I even took the tags off the jacket. That is my only complaint of the jacket. Must be a device used so that you can't return the jacket, lol.

John S. from SEVERNA PARK, MD:
Overall a pretty decent jacket and for $70, a bargain. As I use this jacket in the summer weather, I was hoping the mesh would breath more, as I have removed the inner lining. It does breath some but is still very warm once the temps get over 80 degrees. If you are running down the road, this issue isn't a problem until you start approaching 90 degrees. The jacket is single stitched, so don't expect it to last forever. There are plenty of pockets with zippers and one zipper won't close all the way. Hence, you get what you pay for. With that said, I have an armored jacket that is comfortable (albeit I took everyone's advice and ordered a size larger), protects me and was very inexpensive. Every bit worth the $70.

Nice jacket! Very stylish, fits perfect, breathes well. Liner helps a little in colder weather, but if temp is less than 50°, it won't keep you warm. I encountered a problem with the attach point in one sleeve (button/loop) which tore off the first time I took the jacket off. A quick sew repair fixed it, so no problem. Overall, 4 stars.

Love this jacket. The sizing is weird, but the other reviews helped me determine what size would be best (sizes larger than normal). The jacket was great when it was hot, and now that it is getting cooler, a sweater or the liner really work great. Thanks for a great high value jacket.

Scott S. from MURRAY, KY:
Fitment: I wear a medium slimfit in shirts and jackets. This jacket in a med fit very well. In chest, waist and shoulders. Comfortable and not baggy. Performance: Does not flow very much air. The mesh is very small and there are a lot of pockets which have liners that cover up most if not all of the mesh up front. I wanted a jacket for the really hot days, 90 Deg and up. This jacket doen't flow enough air to cool in that temp. So would not recomend if that's what you are looking for.

after getting a bad case of road rash, I was happy to find a jacket that has armor in all the places I had the rash on. It is light weight and the mesh makes it cool enough to wear even on warm days. you defintally have to get it a size larger than what you normally wear if you plan on wearing a sweater under it.

While this is one heck of a beautiful jacket with enough mesh to keep you very cool and a liner to keep you warm, the shoulders are so wide it's almost ridiculous. I have been told I have wide shoulders. I ordered a small. I'm 5'9" and athletically built. I know it makes you look bigger and badder, but it's a bit over done here. You can stick two cantaloupes in each shoulder instead of the pads. Just looks silly.

Benjamin C. from SPRINGFIELD, MO:
I have worn the jacket during cool mornings and it keeps you pretty warm. I took it out on the interstate and the sleeves had to be snapped on the smallest setting to cut airflow, but the liner did a pretty good job for allowing just enough air through the arms. Now it's hot, so I removed the liner and as long as your moving it breathes easily. I feel irritated without the liner when my arms start sweating and run against the material (compared to riding with a short-sleeve shirt); but that's the price you pay for protection. The sizing chart is completely wrong. I'm a large and I bought a XL. It fits, but I may have needed a XXL, since it may be hard to fit a sweat-shirt or layers underneath the jacket. I did get hit by light rain and I didn't feel wet at all. I don't believe it can handle harder rains, but I did throw my rain jacket on over it and I didn't feel like I was in a sauna suit.

Daniel G. from Draper, UT:
WAAAAAAY too small, I normally wear a large, ordered a 2XL based on reviews and wanting to layer. The jacket is great, but it was easily 6" too short in the waist to even zip up. I would have ordered another size because the jacket is great, but I'm worried if I order a 3 or 4XL the arms will be ridiculously long. Really wish it would have fit. Wondering if somehow someone put a 2xl liner in a LG jacket.

Nicole J. from SAN DIEGO, CA:
I purchased this jacket for an anniversary gift for my better half. Talk about coming across the best site when shopping for mesh motorcycle jackets! I ordered his jacket on a Thursday evening and Friday morning, it was at our front door. I did read many of the reviews because I do my research before purchasing items online. Against the better judgement of nearly all of the comments of ordering a size bigger, I ordered his normal size. It ended up being too small. It was small even though he could zip up his jacket; it just wasn't comfortable. The next day, I sent it back to get it exchanged. 3 days later (this is including a weekend, a larger size arrived and it fit perfectly. He absolutely loves it and keeps saying, "I should have gotten this years ago when you suggested it." The amount of pockets are great but the best feature is the ability to adjust the armor accordingly. The site is easy to navigate, the customer service is amazing (they emailed me when they received the returned jacket, when they completed the exchange transaction, and when the new jacket was being sent off). Finally, the prices are nearly impossible to beat anywhere else. We are getting me one in couple of months of it will be purchased from this site.

I bought this jacket and arrived very fast. The look and feel is very good, fit is correct if you are not big(Im 172cm/70kg) and Medium fits great, I normally use Small in t shirts, so take this in consideration. The only thing about this jacket I dont like is if you remove the liner, you will not have rain protection at all.. and if you live in tropical weather, that is a problem as it could rain and still be hot outside.. I dont know why others said this is not warm inside, IT IS too warm! Other than that, the jacket is very nice and has a great look, The price is incredible, similar jackets costs 300 USD out there.. Higly recommended

First time experience with Leather up and I'm very impressed. The jacket is very comfortable while riding, with no restrictions when turning corners or curves. My jacket is comfortable on cool mornings with the liner in and cool on warm summer day with the mesh outer shell. I will shop with Leather Up in the future.

Larry Berg from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
MAKE SURE YOU BUY ONE SIZE UP OVER YOUR REGULAR SIZE!! IF IN DOUBT, ERROR ON THE BIG SIDE! I normally wear between XL and XXL, depending on manufacturer. So, reading these reviews, I decided to go the the XXL. WRONG DECISION! I had to return it for a XXXL, and I've never had to wear XXXL, except for layered outerwear. So, make sure you error on the large side. Otherwise, a great jacket for the price, Fits well, comfortable, and well made. Inner Velcro pockets for something like a cell phone and comb, and little straps inside for something like pens or pencils. One large inner zippered pocket hidden behind a flap on the right side, and one small zippered pocket on the other side. On the outside, two breast pockets, one on each side, two side pockets, one on each side, all four zippered. Not a jacket for extreme cold. I use a lined windbreaker on the outside for temperatures below 50 deg F. That combo works down to freezing or blow. Removable liner for summer use. Good airflow so you don't bake. Armour does not interfere with movement and is hardly noticeable while riding. Tight elastic inner cuffs keep air out. Velcro wrist adjustments. Velcro waist adjustment, both sides. The arms have two places to tighten the sleeves so they don't flap around in the wind. But I have thick arms, and this jacket fits me just right with no adjustment. I don't need to tighten the sleeves at all, as they stay put even at 90 MPH. SOME CORRECTIONS TO OTHER REVIEWS: I see NO VENTS at all that zip up, as stated in another review. There is good air flow, due to partial mesh, but I don't see any adjustable vents at all. Also, the cuffs are sewn in and are NOT removable, or part of the liner, as stated in another review.

Good fitting jacket and I like the all-black moto-tech style. Thanks to prior reviewers' comments about sizing. I usually wear size M but size L fits me well in this jacket. Liner has been suffiicient to keep me warm in 50 degree riding. Armor is comfortably integrated. Ventilation is good with vents unzipped. Sleeve snaps are gimmicky, they do not stay snapped (and I don't have Hulk Hogan arm muscles). Hope to wear this jacket for awhile, it is a good buy!

Nice jacket. Bought a size larger than I normally wear and it fits perfect. I've worn it without the liner in temps approaching 100 and while warm, it is still okay while moving on the freeway on my commute. My only complaint would be that the liner sleeves each have two snaps to snap to the cuff of the jacket. There should have been a loop to go through before you snap them in place, as I have yet been able to take the jacket off without all 4 snaps coming off.

Better than I hoped for! I'm 6'1, 170, thin and lanky - the XL is perfect - long enough arms, with enough adjustment for my skinny frame. Jacket looks great and has nice mesh lining on the interior. Good for a 15 mile commute in 45 degrees with the quilted liner and only a tshirt underneath; also wore it in 90 degrees comfortably. Snaps for liner could be better/stronger and are unmarked so it's a bit confusing to get the liner in. Also, the velcro on the neck sticks to my helmet lining when not cinched up - I put a piece of felt on it to prevent this. BTW, the coat is all black - even though it looks slightly gray in the pics. Fits great, looks great; for the price it can't be beat.

Great jacket, but at a 4XL it is snug with the liner in. Fits good without the liner even though the elastic cuffs in the arms is a bit snug and uncomfortable. GOing to cut them to make it fit better. If you are a big guy like me then you might want to go up two sizes. It's not bad for the price. The only other complaint I would have is that when you got it zipped up and lift your arms, the jacket comes up with it. Guess that is due to the shoulder protection. Really could use a big and tall selection also. Other than that I am happy with it.

Great jacket. Can be a bit warm in Texas summers when over 90 degrees, but I definitely like the safety features, the light weight, and the ventilation (you definitely can tell the ventilation is great). I'm 5'10" 160lbs and got the large and it's a perfect fit. Very pleased with it and like all the pockets. Easily washable in gentle cycle (which is good, because in TX summers, you can sure sweat a lot). I use it with a reflective safety vest I bought from LeatherUp when riding to downtown Dallas to work. I saw a very similar jacket at the Harley Davidson dealership for some ridiculous price of $245 or so. Obviously, at LeatherUp's prices, this is a great value.

Great Jacket. Light weight, good ventilation. Still a bit hot in 90+ but duh, it's a jacket and feels fine when moving. When I bought it I didn't even know why it had a liner as I bought it for a summer jacket but now as the summer winds down, it makes sense. Going to work @ 6AM it is about 20° cooler than the afternoon, so the liner helps a lot and comes out easy. It is so small it can fit almost anywhere. (except in the pockets) I am 5'10 150 lbs, all my other jackets were larges so I bought a large and this one fits fine, breaks right at the hip. Inner cuff can be a bit of a bother getting on and off over watches but it is such a trivial issue it is hardly worth mentioning. Rain rips right through the jacket, but duh; its mesh. Looks good, slim, not too bulky. A great value.

This is a really nice jacket - especially for the money. I got it for warmer weather riding, and the Tri-Tex breathes really well. Jacket is nicely designed: pockets, adjustable tabs, etc. The ONLY thing I didn't like and couldn't get used to was the elastic cuffs inside the sleeves. I eventually returned this jacket for a similar product.
