Richard C. from FREDERICKSBURG, VA:
For the price you will not find a thicker, more protective, or better looking jacket anywhere. I mean the thing is fully armored at the shoulders, back and elbows with padding stitched in to the extremely thick cowhide. As for the fit and look as near as I can figure the jacket is sized WITHOUT the armor in it, so if you plan to wear the removable armor in the jacket constantly order a size larger. There is zero taper in the jacket, although you can adjust the waist a little. The issue is the shoulders and back armor which will take up space and cause the shoulders, back, and chest to feel tight while the rest of the jacket feels fine. Remove the shoulder armor and voila, the jacket fits normally while still offering great protection. Hands down I would buy this jacket again!

Tammy A. from REDMOND, WA:
Bought this for my son in size XL ( he is 6'9" and wide in the shoulders). XL was too short in the arms and too tight across the chest. Returned it for the 2XL and that fits perfectly. He is very happy with the jacket and I was very happy with the price and the ease of returning the smaller one.

Wow! This is an awesome jacket! You cannot go wrong with this jacket. I have been looking for a nice motorcycle jacket for while now and I finally found one. The quality of this jacket is second to none. The picture does not do it any justice. I highly recommend it. I can hardly wait until spring to arrive so I can put it on and ride.

Shea C. from CHICO, CA:
I originally ordered this jacket in LARGE thinking I had the sizing figured out. NOPE. I'm a very lean 6'4" 165 lbs. I have very broad shoulders and long arms with a 34" waist. LARGE was just too tight in the arms and shoulders. Length was almost ok to the waist, which we tall guys frequently have issues with but the shoulders just weren't cutting it. I wish I had listened to other reviewers and ordered a size up. I sent it back for an XL and the fit is pretty good. I'm thin in the torso so there's some excess, which can't be taken up by the side straps as they are a poor design. There really just isn't that much adjustment there. Fit wise the rest of the jacket it spot on. Length is fine in the arms, and the jacket feels trim and sleek in the shoulders and arms. Wind rolls off the high grade leather and the padding in the arms is soft, not just a slab of armor. I can't believe how cheap this jacket was for the quality! I wanted this jacket to be slim fitting but accomdating of an undergarment like a thin sweatshirt and it accomplishes just that. I'm not really sure why the description states that the jacket has a non-removable liner, as it clearly does in the video, in the reviews and in my own testing. I have ridden in temperatures down to 35 degrees with a thin sweatshirt and under armor on underneath for upwards of 45 minutes without becoming cold. As far as quality, this jacket is awesome. It's nice and heavy and fits my needs perfectly by filling the gap between a mesh (Summer) and Textile (Winter) jacket. If you have no gear what so ever and are a new rider, you should start with this jacket and work your way to others as your needs dictate. This is such a great all around jacket for all bikes, all weather, and all genders. I can't believe it was only $119 I have already had several riders ask where I got it and there's only one answer! Jeffrey M. from COTTONWOOD, AZ:
This jacket fits well - followed measurements and ordered one size smaller than he normally wears in a jacket. Really debated about this because so many of the reviews said to order differently, but we found that by following the measurement chart and going just a little bit bigger (even though that was one size smaller for him normally), it fits well. It is a very sturdy and well made jacket and is quite comfortable in cooler weather - haven't tried it in warmer weather yet. It is very heavy and he is having to adjust to that, but otherwise really likes the jacket.

Richard M. from ADELPHI, MD:
I am a small guy who usually wears a medium sized jacket. I ordered a medium even though the chart said I needed a small. In men's clothes a guy with a 42 waist and 46 inch chest is hardly a small so I wonder how they derived that chart? Once I ordered the size I ordinarily buy, I found the size snug but then you wouldn't want it loose as you'd have air leaking in all over. The quality is really nice as is the look of the jacket, it weighs a ton and feels pretty good on (just plan on not having a sweatshirt on under it). I've received compliments already about how it looks!

This is my first purchase from you and since, I am a walking advertisement for your site, as other recommended me being a bit on the heavy side specifically around the shoulders I took the next size which is a good fit. (I press 240 pounds and it shows). The jacket is great, great finish, a bit tough and needs wearing in, thick leather is that way. looks great, great finish inside as well. Don't know how else to say I think I got a great jacket. Will return soon for additional purchases.

The photos don't do this jacket justice. The padding, the quality of the leather is top notch and with vents on the chest arms and back makes this jacket a great buy. Just wish it had an additional inside pocket but I don't think you can find a better motorcycle jacket for the price.

Howard B. from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
After reading many of the reviews, I'm so glad I ordered a size up and got the 2XL. I'm 6'2" and 215 and it fits perfectly with some room underneath to layer with a sweater. The quality of this jacket at this price point is impressive--it has plenty of ventilation zippers, permanent padding and removable soft armor protection, and other practical features that make it versatile for different temperature conditions. I wish they would have made the interior pocket with a snap or velcro closure to secure a cellphone, but it's a deep enough pocket that it may not be necessary. I got it shipped quickly after ordering (only took 3 days!) and with the free shipping and the online discount promo, it only cost me $116. A great deal for a decent jacket that has most of the features of jackets of double that price. Looking forward to the fall riding season!

What a fantastic product for the price! Honestly, I never go back and review stuff I buy but this was exceptional. I am a big guy, a 2x fits me snug like it is supposed to. I wear a 2x in every other jacket and I am glad I ought my size. The quality of the leather is great, it is very durable and feels great. I actually removed the foam padding because there is some permanent armor built in. Even without the foam armor pieces it is still very heavily padded in all the right places. The neoprene parts on the arms are nice for flexibility. I shopped around in gear shops

Pier M. from Blainville, QC:
Awesome jacket, very comfortable and best ratio of price/quality! The protection are very strong and you have a lot of armor all around the jacket. In the back, on the shoulder, on the chest and on the elbows. The look is insane too and you feel bigger and stronger with this jacket! :P For the size, I know that some people say that you have to pick up one size bigger than you normally wear and this is what I actually did but this is not the same thing for everyone. For me, I took the XL size and it fits perfectly, I am 5'11'' and 180 pounds and this was the right size for my shape. Normally I took Large but, this jacket is made a little too tight so, I take a chance with a bigger size and I was right. But, this is not working for anybody, if you have an athletic shape and you know that a large is the right size for you, go for it, it will be the right size for sure. If you would like to know if the XL is right for you, I just take some measure (Approximative): Arm: From the top shoulder to the wrist: ~26'' Body length: From the top shoulder to the bottom of the jacket: ~27.5'' Neck: ~20'' Chest: ~52'' Waist: ~45'' Wrist: ~11'' Hope this help and I did recommand this item, this jacket is wonderful! :D

Great jacket, and quality is good despite the price. It's a little loose on me, but I'm rather lean. The collar might be tight on bigger necks; it's just a smidge tight on me. The vents are great in the summer, and I love that it has back protection.

Casey W. from LOOGOOTEE, IN:
I am 5'11" 30 inch waist 170 lb 40" chest ordered a large and returned for a medium. The exchange was smooth and efficient following the instructions outlined, no issues at all. The jacket fits snuggly as it should and is true to the size chart. The thing was initially stiff as a board but seems to quickly break in and becomes pretty comfortable. I have ridden in 45 degree weather reasonably comfortably with the linner in. Very comfortable at 80 degrees with no liner and vents open. Seems very durable and well cunstructed. I love the jacket, but a bit bulky in the shoulders, the interior pocket is useless, and if your gloves have buckles forget about tucking them in the sleeves. Tough critic I suppose, these are not real issues. lol After owning this one I would not consider another. Would most definatly order again. Btw, the thing looks awesome.

I like this jacket a lot. My wife worked in a factory making jackets and she even said how great the quality of the jacket is. The vents are great for warm weather riding and with them closed I stayed warm on a cool day. The jacket fits me snug but that's the way they are supposed to fit and will loosen with use I am sure bc leather does stretch a little. The armor is great and offers max protection and the reflector stripes are not noticeable in the day time. This jacket also has a great look too.

I could not be happier with this jacket ! I was a little skeptic considering I have bought 130 dollar leather jackets in the past, and all of them were garbage in comapison. Aside from all the great features (reflective piping, removable armor, zippered vents and liner, ect.) The leather is very thick and aromatic. The jacket itself has to weigh at least 6 pounds. There will be no doubt by any buyer that this is a high quality leather riding jacket. I am so impressed by the Xelement brand and LeatherUp.com. I am definitely a new loyal customer!

I bought this jacket for my boyfriend and was extremely impressed by the quality (especially given the low price). It is super armored without being stiff or uncomfortable and it looks fantastic. He is very slim, but has super broad shoulders and long arms and the size large fit him well since we ride in the winter and need to be able to put sweaters underneath. It would be worth every penny if it cost $300 and it's a real steal at the leatherup price.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I read the reviews about the sizes running small so I went with an XL, the jacket fits perfect. He is 6'1 and 190 lbs. The leather is a tight at first but after a few rides it has loosened up. Truly a great buy!

Cannot beat it for the price! This is a high quality item. I got a 2X. I am 5'10" 200 lbs and fairly muscular. The jacket is a bit tight through the arms and shoulders, but that is the way these are supposed to fit. I won't be able to put a sweater or anything bulky under it. Great looking jacket, very functional. I am a happy camper.

Looked great out of box, but I have a 42 inch waist and 54 or so chest, I normally wear a XL, but ordered 2XL due to reviews, I recieved a 2XL and could not pull zipper anywhere near closed, sending back to try a 3XL, my review is to advise to order larger than you would normally if this item. I re-review when i get the replacement jacket.

I would rate it 5 star, but once again there sizes are off just enough. Luckily I have a family member that wears one size under me I can pass it too. Part of the down side of ordering clothing online. Is it really that hard to come up with a bloody standardized sizing?

This is an awesome jacket!! I was concerned with the fit after reading the reviews but I went with my normal size and it fits perfectly. I'm 6' and 180 lbs and the XL fits great! Keep in mind this is a snug fitting jacket by design and should be taken into account when selecting a jacket. This is a heavy, high quality jacket that for the price can't be beat. It's a little stiff out of the box but that just give me a reason to ride more to loosen it up. I have made numerous purchases from Leatherup and they have not failed me yet. Another satisfied customer! THANKS LEATHERUP!!!!!!

Strong, heavy, solid leather and stitching. LeatherUp is really the best thing out there. If you want a good jacket without a $200 to $300 logo, Xelement is the way to go. Great leather and good fit. I wear around an x-large usually and that is roomy in my Speed and Strength jacket. This one, after reading the reviews, I went to a 2X. It fits perfect, but it is not with everything left in (i.e. pads, liner, etc.). Great product and ohhhh so inexpensive!!!

5 Stars because the leather quality, style , features and fit and price far exceed the price point. This jacket is a great deal for $119. I agree with sizing, I usually wear 3XL or 4XL if I want a touch of room but I bought a 5XL and it fits slightly snug but fine. With the lining in I was at almost the freezing mark and with a hoodie on , I was perfectly warm. Jacket is amazing but I have not been able to test out the air flow of the jacket as the temperatures up here are too close to freezing to try out the air management. Cool style jacket makes my shoulders look like I'm a football player. I just discovered Leatherup and bought two jackets and both are awesome so I am a customer for life, if they lower their shipping....lol Dennis S. Ontario , Canada

Darrell Flournoy from Fredericksburg Va.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!All I can say is WOW. This is the best freaking leather motorcycle jacket I have ever owned. Listen folks, if you looking at this jacket right now just stop looking and buy it. You will not regret. I can't believe I only paid 119.95 and free shipping WOW. Got it today and went for a 60 mile ride and it was just fantastic. As you can tell I'm extremely happy with this jacket. OH!!!! Lile most of the reviews said, go up to a biggier size like I did. I'm always buying a 2X in everything and listening to the reviews I decided to get a 3x and it was on point. I maybe could have gotten a 4x to wear a hoodie underneathe for the cold days, but this 3x is just fine. Great great great jacket trust me

Robert O. from RICHMOND HILL, GA:
Mr. Christian, Savannah GA I just received this jacket today, excited. After researching jackets and reading 100's of reviews I settled upon this jacket based upon price, style and customer reviews. Overall very satisfied with the purchase. High quality leather, excellent craftmanship, protective armour durable but flexible, inner liner comfortable, zippers top quality and did I mention the jacket looks awesome! Ordered one size up (2XL - 6'1" 210 lbs) as recommended by other customer reviews but still a little snug. Couldn't wear this with a layered look. Removed shoulder armour and back pad and this made it more comfortable. Sleeve length is perfect. Be advised this jacket is heavier than I imagined but that speaks to the quality of the product. After having worn this today; should have got a 3XL to wear as it is shipped. Overall, this is a great purchase. I am very happy with this jacket and would recommend. Thank you LetherUp for a great deal; reluctant to make this kind of purchase online but glad I did because there is no way I would have gotten this good of a deal in a retail motorcycle store. If you are reading this I hope my review helps.

FOR THE MONEY THIS IS A MOST EXCELLANT BUY. THE JACKET IS STYLISH, FULLY-FEATURED AND HIGH QUALITY-REALLY AND UNBELIEVABLE BUY. FOR ME I WOULD PREFER LESS OF THE STRETCH BAND ON THE SLEEVES BUT STILL, IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE...I ORDERED A 2X AND IT WAS TOO SNUG I NEEDED A 3X REALLY SO I JUST SOLD IT TO MY FRIEND FOR A HUNDRED. I WOULD GLADLY ORDER ANOTHER THIS JACKET WAS A MERE 107 DELIVERED WITH 10 PERCENT OFF YOU CANT BEAT THE COST OR QUALITY OF IT ANYWHERE. IT IS VERY ADEQUATE AND LESS CONFINING OR BULKY/HEAVY THAN SOME WHICH COME WITH THE INJECTION MOLDED PLASTIC ARMORS. ALL IN ALL REAL GOOD PROTECTION AND COMFORTABLE, NICE!! KEEP THIS ONE ON YOUR PRODUCT LIST PLEASE GT IN NY

the fitting chart is spot on. fit is a little long for me which causes it to ride up on me at highway speeds. the vents are a life saver, even in 80 degree weather keeps me nice and cool. the liner zips out and makes it soo much easier to move around. But in a month or 2 i will have to put it back in.

Great quality, and great price. If you have read other posts you might see that you need to order a size larger. I am 220 lbs. very broad shoulders/ pretty muscular and I ordered the 2XL. It is very very slightly too large, but I am going to keep it because I like just a little room to breathe. An XL may have been slightly too small, but then again you can remove the armor for more room. I definitely recommend this jacket!

French text below. Nice jacket, heavy good quality leather, unfortunately poor lining. Lacking pockets. I'm 6 ft, 175 lbs, I chose the L size wich is just fine. No regret at all, it's a great buy. Shipping within 4 days to Switzerland.

LOVE my jacket! Ordered a 5XL, fits like a dream. Sizes seem to run a bit small, or perhaps I just have huge shoulders. Regardless, the leather is fantastic, soft but thick with that new car smell. :) Armor doesn't get in my way on it, pockets were easy to reach for me (to each his own?) Style looks cool as hell! The best leather jacket I've ever owned hands down. Thank you leatherup!

BUILT WELL. AN ABSOLUTE VALUE FOR THE MONEY. THE ZIPPERS ON THE WRIST SOMETIMES BOTHERS THE SKIN. ONCE THE JACKET IS WORN, HARD TO REACH INTO POCKETS. I BOUGHT A SMALL, FITS LIKE A MOTORCYCLE JACKET NEEDS TO. THE ELBOW PADDINGS ARE LOOSE IN THEIR POCKETS, DRIFTS A BIT. ABSOLUTE NICE VENTILATION.

Great value...nice quality material and design. In respect to fit, I thought it was right in line with the size chart. I have a 42 inch chest, 6'2" and 180 pounds and typical sleeve length of 33" and ordered a large and it is perfect. If you have a 43" chest, suggest you purchase XL as this would likely be wearable but tight with liner in. Hope that helps...buy it!

Warm, comfortable and fits perfect. I ordered a medium, which is my regular size and I had no problems with the fit. The sleeves are nice and long, and I like the fact that there are vents that open for ventilation if it starts to warm up. The collar fits tight and keeps the wind out well. One of the most comfortable jackets I have ever ridden in, I reommend it highly.

Excellent jacket... but very true about ordering large! I am 6'1 250 with a 52" chest and 36" waist so ordered a 3xl. I could zip it up but no way I could wear it that way! I had to go to a 4xl (56) I like the fit but it's still on the snug side.

Thomas A. from SARANAC, NY:
Very heavy leather jacket of good quality. I am 6 feet 2 inches, 230 pounds. I bought in a 2xl, and it fitts like it should, snug, but movable. Two things to note, one, it does not have reflective piping as stated in the description, and two, the stretch material it states to have under the arms is i believe neoprene, and if you look at the picture you will see it in the inside elbow portion of the jacket from just above the wrist all the way up to the armpit. The zip out liner is a short sleeve liner, and does feel a bit odd when taking the jacket off because nothing holds the sleeves in place. I find the prebent arm design very comfortable when riding, but stiff and unnatural for walking around in.I rode in 40 degree weather, and it seems warm enough with a layer ar two under it, and I rode in 80 degree weather with the vents all open ,which was tolerable, but a little too warm for me. Overall I realy like the look and fit. It is of good quality and is very protective. No regrets, would recommend especially for this price.

IN CASE YOU'RE WONDERING ABOUT SIZE. I usually wear a large but I went EXTRA LARGE due to overwhelming advice from past customers. I'm 6'3 190 lbs.. long lean body type and I SHOULD'VE trusted my insticts and went with a large. I have a 33/34' waist and the XL jacket looked way too big around the waist even with the adjustable waist straps all the way in. It's definitely a fitted look with this jacket. Sleeves are not extra long so they'll be a little bit short for the people with longer arms. (Not too bad tho but definitely short) I HOPE THIS HELPS:)

Like so many others before me i highly recommend buying at least one size larger than you would normally wear. My wife bought me an XL for Christmas - the same size as so many of my other coats and it was too small - so i had to return it for a 2XL. Other than the size the jacket was very cool, the quality of the zippers, snaps, etc was very high and i can't wait to get my replacement.

I wanted to order my regular size, but it was out of stock, so I tried one size up and it fit very nicely. When I remove the liner, a size smaller might be better...? Very happy with the style & construction quality. There are so many choices it was fun to consider all of the alternatives.

SHAWN H. from DRAYTON , SC:
I wear a 2XL and ordered a 2XL. I have worn my new jacket both on and off my ride and it fits perfect. When riding you flex your muscles thus your chest, shoulders, and arms becomes larger. While riding the jacket wraps your body like a glove as your muscles expand. Just right and not too tight. This design and extensive padding is well engineered. It's tighter where it needs to be when riding in the shoulders, and chest. The arms are really comfortable because of the stretch fabric. So even though your arm muscles are flexing the stretch material conforms to a perfect fit. The last jacket, I purchased was leather all the way around and the arms got really tight while riding and a bit uncomfortable. The cut of the jacket almost feels custom tailored to my frame. Nice features are the reflective (which doesn't stick out - black so don't let the pic fool ya...looks white in pic but it's black which looks cool) pipping, button snaps, and the design of the Velcro waist straps. The waist straps go under instead of over. The leather is very thick and heavy which is a very good thing. Like all the zippers, vents, and padding. When riding with all the 4 wheelers who don't pay attentions to us 2 wheelers it's nice knowing your well protected in this jacket. ATTENTION LEATHERUP.COM .... This jacket would look awesome with some red!

Great jacket very heavy duty. At least as well built as the FXWG HD jacket I had but was lost during recent move. I ordered size one up and probably should have done 2 sizes since I like we wear a hoodie under my jacket. Extremely good quality. Shipped was incredibly fast. I did next day and got it next day even though the estimate was next Monday due to handling I guess. definitely not complaining! This jacket is well worth the money and with a different label you'd pay several times more.

This is a fine jacket and looks great, however I am 5"9" 190 and I ordered an XL and I'm glad I did. It fits pretty snug and would only allow maybe a single shirt or sweatshirt underneath. I wear a 46 suit so I strongly recommend you order at least 1 size larger than you would in normal US sizing and if you're on the hefty side order 2 sizes larger.

I'm 205 and 6-1. The jacket fit very nicely. The padding is a bit much for normal riding and makes the jacket more comfortable when removed. Even with the elbow and shoulder padding out, there is still plenty of built in padding for safety. The only thing I would say is the jacket I received did not have the reflective pipping as described. It does seem to ride a little high under the chin and took some getting used to but he neoprene collar edging helps. I took the bike for a ride on a 45 degree day with only a long sleeve shirt underneath and it was plenty warm. I'm sure when summer comes the vents and removable liner will work just fine.

Sizing: as other say, order one up. I would normally wear an XL for anything else, 2XL is quite right. I did take out the internal back armour for now, as it pulls up the back of the jacket too much (I have a long torso). Also, the elbow armour is too bulky, so I removed and replaced with other armour from a different jacket. Quite warm, and I love the collar-it's snug, but isn't too stiff, so not a choker. Really keeps the wind from going down your back, which is great in the cold. I was pretty darn comfy in 45 F, after dark even. Very nice for the price!

I am 6ft. 183 lbs. I normally wear a large, but I ordered an XL after reading the reviews. When I first tried it on, I thought I might have to get a 2XL but after wearing it a while, I decided it would be ok and the sleeves on a 2XL might be too long. Rode to work this morning at 36 degrees, wearing a cotton hoodie underneath and was comfortable. Ride home at 49 degrees was fine with just the jacket. I'm impressed!

I like this jacket. It breathes well on warm days and the vents can easily be zipped up while wearing gloves while on a ride, in case it starts to get too cool for comfort. The removable inside layer is great for cooler weather rides. Haven't gone down yet, but the padding in the elbows and back at least seems that it would provide better protection from falling vice going with a standard leather jacket.

This jacket was an excellent fit for my son. It not only looks nice but I, as a parent, feel that the armor is giving him so much more protection than just a regular leather jacket. The jacket is very heavy and made of excellent leather. The pipping on the shoulders and upper back are very visible at night. I researched these type of jackets for weeks before I decided on this one. It is an unbelievable bargain at this price. Most of the jeckets that are comparable to this one are in the $300.00 range. My 21 year old son loves the jacket and Mom is extremely satisfied with the price and quality!

I got this jacket about a week ago, its a great jacket for the price, nice and heavy, the leather looks and feels nice. Only thing is its a tight fit, I would go one up on your size when you buy, or if you want alittle more room in it, go 2 sizes up from your normal. Overall its a great jacket and you can't beat the price, I check around at all the motorcycle shops around where I am, and they wanted $300 for each jacket. I will be buying from Leatherup again

Nice jacket with substantial protection. A little warm for day use (80 degrees) but will be great here in the evenings when it cools off to 50-70 degrees. Also bought the perforated jacket which is a better all round choice here on the islands but couldn't bear returning it and felt it would get some good use in the evenings or trips to the mountain and volcano.

The only thing I would suggest to someone buying this is read the reviews for sizing and get yourself a strong hanger to hang this on...these are serious jackets, good workmanship and heavy leather.

I just got the jacket today & wow, it's awesome! I went to most of the bike dealers in town before buying here and i definetly believe I got the better jacket here. I ordered a 2X (I normally wear an XL) and am glad i did. With the liner in, the arms are very tight & there's no room for a sweat shirt or sweater on colder days. Hopefully it'll loosen up. Overall though, it's very well made, fits like a glove & looks like it means business. Tough leather, great armor and excellent construction.

Although shipping takes longer than expected, for the price, this is a very nice jacket. I have nicer jackets, but I also paid much much more for them. The zipper is good, but made of a heavier plastic. The zipper slide is made of white metal. As for the fit, I'm 5'11" and about 180 lbs. About average in size. I ordered the 2XL and it fits very well. The jacket is put together very nice, and I think you would be happy with this purchase. I bought the jacket for summer riding, wore it today when the temps were down around 39 degrees, and found it to be a little on the light side. Very good ventallation. It comes with a very light zip-out liner.

Ordered this jacket on a Monday and received it on Wednesday. -The jacket fits perfectly and the vents allow for it to stay cool even in the summer heat. -The adjustable velcro straps lets you make the jacket fit snug around the waist for that custom feel. -The armor on the back is removable and the jacket itself doesn't weigh too much. -The zippers are made of plastic so those aren't the greatest quality but for the price it can't be beat.

I am 5'10", 270lbs (mostly gut) and normally wear a 3x tee-shirt. I ordered a 5x based on the other reviews. The arms were a bit long and the waist was a bit tight, but not too bad. The arms were a bit long causing the elbow armor to be a bit off, but not too bad. My biggest issue is that the inside of the arms are made of neoprene instead of leather. I may have just missed it in the pictures, but was expecting leather to cover the entire jacket. It may not be a big issue, but people should be aware of this.

Very heavy duty jacket. MY problem with the jacket is that i am 6'4 215, athletic build and this jacket does not have enough shoulder room for me. When I lift my arms up to the handlebars there is a huge gap behind my neck and the sleeves slide up my arms. I had to take out all the armour for it to fit decently (which kinda defeats the whole purpose of buying this particular jacket).

Very good Quality and Construction. The armor takes up some room so order up at least one size. I generally wear a size large in a shirt size and had to go up to the 2XL. Made the call to go to 2XL based on the other reviews. The only things I noticed is that the I am pretty fit and I had to adjust the waist band all the way down and the sleeve length could be a tad longer as I have a 35 waist and longer than normal arms. The ventilation on this jacket is terrific, 6 vent zippers. Also, the forearms have a breathable material on the top so you never feel like your body can't breath. Jacet is very warm also, I can close all the vent zippers and feel confortable in cold weather (45 Degrees or so).

Excellent jacket except for cheap plastic zippers. Might have to get the main zipper replaced with YKK sometime in the future. Since I plan on using this as a summer jacket only the vents can stay open if need be. Mine came without the back armor - I contacted Leather-up's customer service by both email & phone over a week ago. On the phone they said they would try to find a piece of armor to send me but I have not received it and no further contact from customer service. Uncool on leatherup's part dropping the ball like that.

Very nice jacket for the money. I received the jacket about a week ago and I have worn it about four or five times on short and long trips at speeds from 25-85mph. At low speeds the vents are great and allow for plenty of air flow keeping me cool, but at high speeds they act as sails so be careful. I also noticed that some the stitching around the wrist zippers is already coming loose. As far as sizing, this jacket is pretty true, I weigh 215 and am 5'11" and I ordered an XL. It fits ok, just a little big. The jacket is also pretty warm in the 50 degree mornings in the fall and vents allow me to wear the jacket during the 75 degree afternoons. All in all I would recommend this jacket and it looks great!

Has lots of padding and Armor, which came in handy cuz a couple weeks after receiving the jacket, my husband was in an accident, caused by another driver, but it held up well, only a few scratches on the leather and no road rash on the skin... Great leather jacket with quality features... I found that it fit true to size, I'm 5'11', 190 athletic build and an XL fits fine with just enough room for a few thermal layers if needed. The vents work well, even in hot weather as long as you're moving... Black leather standing still in summer heat and sun will always be hot, so suck it up. The jacket is well built and looks better in person than in the pics... Not very warm in <60 weather, but I haven't experimented with layers yet. I did wear it out one night when the temps went into the 50's with just a tank top under the jacket and it was a bit nippy. The armor is thick and in the right spots... Note the armor is foam based and not the hard plastic in some other quality jackets, but appears to be robust. Great product for the money with significant sex-appeal. I would buy again for the very reasonable price factor.

Great jacket for the price.Fits snug.At 5'10 225 lbs I usually wear 2xl loose but ordered 3x jacket. It doesn't allow me to wear flannel with the liner in but the jacket is very warm anyway. Can't wait to wear it in November

I love this jacket so far. Prior to ordering this jacket I read the reviews and found it to be very helpful in my selection. I was told to orderone size larger and i did. My suggestion to you is to go in your closet, find a long sleeve dress shirt and look at the size. Then, go to the size chart and find that size. Finally, g one size up and cloick on that one. This will surely be the right one for you. I promise. Be sure to check out the inside pocket on this jacket cause mine has a hole ion it. Not a big deal but I guess when your putting so much leather together you can't get it all done right. Oh yah one more thing...The jacket has a strong strong strong leather smell and with make everything in your closet smell like leather.

I was very impressed with how quickly I received my order! Also, the jacket is just as the description makes it to be. The only thing I was concerned of was a small stain on the sleeve, but the customer service line was able to help me with whatever I needed even if they had to pay for the shipment back to the warehouse which ended up being unnecessary. This jacket was actually a gift to someone and to his surprise it was not over $200!!! He couldn't believe it. Great website, I will be recommending it to any bike owners I know :)

Jacket fit great. I'm 6-3, 215 and ordered a 2XL, so definitely go up a size. I do have one nit. We originally ordered a jacket for Xmas. It was out of stock, but I had a hard time getting credit back for a while. Seems Leather Up has two warehouses and they needed ME to find out where it was returned to. Other than that, their service is great and their prices greater! Dave from NJ

SWEET Jacket! I bought the 2xl and it fits like a glove. I am 6'5" . 240 pounds. I cannot how well it is made for the price. I get stopped at a bike rally 4 times by people wanting to know where I got it. My only complaint is that the side pockets are a little far back but other than that I am 100% pleased with this jacket. I will buy another if something happens to it.

If you are looking for a serious jacket with armor this is an excellent value. It is not a lite jacket, it is big and heavy, it will not pack well, but you will look great and I believe it will protect you. Definitely order at least one size larger than you normally wear. I have worn mine for several hours in 40 degree weather and am very pleased. Looks like is should wear well.

Simply the nicest leather biking jacket I've ever owned. And for $119.95?? I told several friends and they were sporting jackets that cost 2 to 3 timies as much, and weren't nearly as beautiful or durable. If you normally wear an XL, but 2XL as they run a bit small. Tremendous value and extremely comfortable on long trips!

All other size references are right on. Ordered XL, 1 size up from chart. Armor is still stiff and without - does fit better, but I wanted it snug. Live in New Hampshire so havn't had a chance yet to ride, but can't wait. Quality and finish is way better than expected. And...my wife accused me of trying to look sexy and wanted me to return it. This is the Jacket that sold me on Leather Up products. It is very warm in cold weather, the wind does not penetrate but just flows right around you completely. The one day I wore it during warm weather I just opened the vents and was comfortable while on the move. I've not worn it yet without the liner, but I think it will be just fine during hot southern California summers. The jacket is of VERY high quality. I'm 6'4" 320lbs, middle aged, and the 5XL fits me very well. The ONLY nit-pick I might have is in a jacket of this quality I'd have loved to see a main zipper of solid brass as I think the jacket could last 30 years with care and the main zipper is a black material which I honestly cannot discern what it is made of be it a tough plastic-like material or actually black metal of some kind. I really like this jacket and would buy it again without hesitation! I do believe I went the "get one size larger" route with this perfect jacket. It is snug, but not at all tight on me. REALLY thick heavy quality leather on this one, you could probably slide 150 feet on asphalt without injury. Plus it has stratigically placed armoring too, something we didn't have when I last rode heavily about 27 years ago. Unbelievable price/quality ratio.

Very nice jacket with a couple of caveats: I am 5'10", 44" chest, 30" waist, 17" arms and the large fits well, wearing like a medium, except for the arms which are very tight, and the forearms feel almost like a tourniquet. I stuffed them overnight with folded towels and the day after I could actually wear the jacket and retain circulation in my hands, however, only one layer of long sleeves can be worn under. On the other hand, the jacket is warm enough to require no more than a couple of t-shirts in 50 degrees weather. There is only one inside pocket, unsecured, though it runs vertically and fairly deep, so nothing should spill out.

I did a lot of research before buying this jacket. It is a quality product at a great price. I got the large size. I'm 5'8" and 180lbs and it is a snug fit but you dont want it to be loose. With some wearing in I'm sure it will give a bit anyway. All the safety protection seems to be in the right places. I would recommend this jacket. Items came quickly.

Bought this for my husband and he absolutely Loves it! The quality is beyond what I expected (for the price). My hubby normally wears a 2X and we got the 3X just in case, and it fits him perfectly. The jacket is heavy and has a removable lining. It's not too bulky either and keeps him warm without the many layers necessary riding in cooler weather. I recommend not only this jacket, but Leatherup.com. I will shop again.

For the price this is an awesome jacket! The leather is super thick, and it weighs a ton. I feel well protected wearing this jacket, even though the armor is not as thick as you might expect. With the liner in, you can ride comfortably in 40 degree weather (I live in Florida, it doesn't get much colder) and with the liner out and the vents open, you start to sweat at about 80 degrees moving or not. I ordered a size larger per the recommendations of others, and it seems a bit big on me, but I am thin around the mid-section and bigger around the chest. If you are built like me, you can probably order the correct size. I am sticking with the one I ordered because it is only a little big. If you are sitting on the fence, get off it and buy this jacket!

Highly dissaointed that the first time I wore this jacket the zippers on the pockets broke. They are plastic, not steel zippers and break easily. However, the jacket fits great and looks really cool. I was concerned with the portion of the arms that is not leather wpould let air pass through, but I rode in 40 degree weather and stayed nice and warm. Fix the zipper issue and this is a great jacket.

This jacket is awsome! It looks and feels better than described and better than it looks in the picutres. It is very, very heavy and is made with quality throughout. The sizing - I am 5'9" tall and weigh 215#. I measure 45" at the chest and 44" at the gut. I ordered a 2XL and it fits perfectly. I would normally order a XL for any shirts, jackets or coats, but after reading reviews I went with the larger size. It fits snug in the arms, but there is enough room to wear a sweat shirt under the jacket. The sleeves are just the right length, which was my major concern with ordering such a big size when I am so short. I ordered the jacket on a Thursday and received Monday. Awesome! This was my first purchase from this site, as I just found out about it through and ad I saw on FaceBook. I will be ordering again soon. I couldn't be happier!

I have a 47" chest, 40" waist, 6'1" tall and weigh 240. Bought this as a cold weather jacket. I usually take a 2XL but ordered a 3XL to wear a sweatshirt under it. No way. Ordered the 5XL and that just works but the sleeves in the foreearms are quite snug and I ain't built like Popeye! Very heavy jacket but has neoprene insert on the inside of the arms which allows for flexibility but also allows some air to penetrate. Jacket has warm liner in torso and good length in back to prevent drafts. Neck snap is tight on 18" neck with shirt. Side pockets placed too far back so it's hard to get into them. The large armor spine plate shifts around within jacket so I don't know where it would be if you took a spill and slid on your back. Overall, worth the money. Service was fast.

After 2 days searching and over 200 websites, LeatherUp is ones best bet for the price and prompt delivery. Considering all the reviews submitted, opted personally not to size up. For myself, a wise decision. As a few acknowledged, this jacket is tailored to fit and fit it does. One mentioned that if you prefer a loose fit. Size up. Otherwise no worries mate. Truc from Seattle labels the zippers weak. Here I must agree and would have been more than happy to pay a higher price for a more reliable zipper source. Hence my decision not to even bother returning the jacket. It has a badass look and feel. So for the record, personally it will be worth having the zipper replaced once the time comes. Overall price, look and customer service CANNOT be beat. ThumbsUp to LeatherUp and Xelement for one righteous leather. Thank you much.

Just got my Advanced jacket in from FedEx today (Super fast shipping), Opened the box and inspected. Quality is OUTSTANDING (especially considering the price). Very well designed and the armor feels really strong. Should be great when I get it back!! As reccomended in other reviews, I went 1 size up and hoped they were right. I was sceptical because I have 7-8 other jackets (3 leather from different companies), and all are 2XL. They all fit "roomy" They aren't tents but there is room to move and room to layer. Tried this on and the first thing was the sleeves. Felt like a full length Blood Pressure cuff pumped all the way up. Even a slight bend in the elbow would have cut off circulation to my hands!! The zipper at the waist would have at least touched but in the chest? I couldnt have got this thing to fit with a gallon of cooking oil and a shoehorn! Just sent it back for a 5X. Easy exchange policy and now I just sit back and wait. Just one of the drawbacks of ordering online. But like I said, The jacket is awesome. Farexceeded expectations..

David P. from Fairport, NY:
Jacket smells great! Size recommendations as per other reviews are right on ... order 1 size larger for comfortable fit (I ordered a 2XL and normally where a 46 jacket), especially around the elbows and forearms which can get a little snug with the lining it. Careful wearing a nice white shirt with the lining removed, I had some black rub marks on my white collared shirt from the inside of the jacket. The reflective piping on the front and back shoulder of the jacket is actually black in color, not white as it looks in the photos online. The stitching around the padding is less than perfect, but the ventilation zipper areas work great ! Inside chest pocket is good for a mens wallet, but has no zipper, so be careful how large of an item you put in there so it does not fall out when you unzip the jacket at the gas station. Only problems I had were a button snap was broken/defective on the left wrist zipper, one of the main chest vent zippers does not open at all and both left and right hand pocket zippers are failing ... teeth getting caught up allowing zipper to only close half way. Rather than return, I'll probably take to a local tailor and have the defective zippers replaced for higher quality ones. Jacket looks great for the price, is rather heavy as with most large men's leather jackets, but with the armor and padding, I feel it will protect you well in the event of a spill. Overall quality, for the price, is good ... but you get what you pay for ... quality and workmanship does not compare to the ICON Daytona jacket I just ordered, but that one cost me $238 !

Truc A. from Seattle, WA:
For only $139, I can't imagine getting a better jacket. I work for a prominent and leading outdoor apparel manufacturing company and the bang for the buck is through the roof. LeatherUp shipped my jacket on the same day I placed the order. It took a day for the processing to finish and it was on the road. The jacket fits me great...it looks totally custom. I am 5'7", 135lbs and have an athletic build. I think the other comments about fit are really just subjective to your body type. I couldn't imagine going to a bigger size. My waist is a 30-31 and there's several inches on the jacket to spare...even with the liner. The quality of the material: the outer shell (leather, stretch neoprene/polyester panels) are great. Top notch. The zippers, well, for a multiple condition jacket, a little weak. I know they're going to leak when I finally get to ride it in the rain. The quilted liner is kind of thin but does the job fighting off the morning chill. The mesh lining is a little scratchy (like raw wool)...but I got used to it pretty quick. The ventilation is awesome. Wouldn't recommend it for Phoenix, AZ in the summer, but 90 degree days in the northwest is pretty doable. One of the snap buttons broke when I first pulled on it - I called LeatherUp and their warranty reimbursement plan sounds exceptional and I plan on going that route. The armor padding is not what I thought it was, although I'm fine with them. Initally, when you see padding with the CE rating, you assume that it's made of hard plastic but instead they use a foam based, supple material. All in all, a good value.

First off, the jacket has good protection and breathability. I'm 6'4" and if you're tall like me it's a little short, barely long enough that I decided to keep it. Shoulders bag out a little while riding. Leatherup.com may have the best price, but were hard to deal with. They shipped it about a week after I ordered, and only after I called to confirm my billing and shipping address, so it took way too long to get here. They have the best price though, so choose your poison. If you're average height, this is probably the jacket for you!

Very well made, sharp looking jacket. I am usually an XL and the only jackets available were 3XL. I thought it would be too large, but I ordered it. Well, it was too tight! So I returned it for a 4XL. They shipped it quickly and..it is a bit snug too. I took out the liner and it fits fine. So you may want to go two sizes larger. Again, well made, sharp, good value for the bucks!

This web site is the best kept secret that i just can't keep the secret, I've told every biker I know if you order once you'll stop looking elsewhere the quality is consistantly the highest as if you've went to every dealer and hand picked only the higest quality . Every item that i've ordered, from the chaps then boots and now the padded armored leather jacket has surpassed even the quality that I've seen at the MOTORCYCLE conventions that I had to pay an admission fee to get in not to mention parking amd the expense of hauling my 5000 lb vehicle (during winter weather) to every gas station on the way and back just to get a "Discount" and now I'm like a kid in a candy warehouse, everything in here is good and exceeds expectations. no guess work here just go on the internet "click" and start smiling awaiting FED EX.

I tried to work with the customer service at Leather Up as I received a discount email the next day after I ordered. They were very uncooperative and handled the situation poorly even when I tried to work with a supervisor. It will be interesting to see if the neoprene on the sleeves is weather resistant. I did not notice this till I received the jacket. The Jacket runs very small. I ordered a 3X and had to remove the most of the armor to get it comfortable. Overall, a bad experience compared to prior purchases!!

Ok so I just got this jacket from the fedex people and at first it didnt seem heavy but when i tried it on, it was a decent weight jacket. I am a little below 5'8" and medium fit perfect on me. Im medium built at 165lbs. I wasnt sure if medium would be good but it fit nice and just the right amount looseness. It is nicely made and feels durable. Leather smell nice and lining proved warm, its a good thickness too. There is fabric on the arm as you can see in the pic. Now dont be fooled because the fabric is nice and thick so it'll definitely keep you warm. The vents are long and have fabric webbing so its not just a hole. Overall very satisfied with the jacket. Beats buying fabric jacket from motorycycle store that run for the same price.

the jacket looks good and feels good. i wear a medium t-shirt for a nice snug fit and ordered a large jacket. it fits well and snug and the arms are about the perfect length. the only problem is the armor i thought would be a little better than just some foam...kinda disappointed in that but everything else is great.

This is a very nice jacket; plenty of padding and vents, and it looks great! A couple of qualms: the removable liner is very thin and offers little in the way of warmth, so if you're riding in a cold climate and need a fleece layer underneath, you definitely want to order one size up. I'm 5'10" 190lbs. and an XL gives me the room I need for a warmth layer. The waist adjustment straps are designed strangely. If you need to cinch up the waist you'll need to double the strap back on itself. For the price, I'm delighted!

Recently bought the Armored Padded jacket and Chaps. Was very leery about such a purchase on line. Read some horror stories but decided to go ahead anyway. With a few days they where at my front door. Unfortunately I lost my mind when ordering and got the wrong size. Read the reviews, they all said these jackets run small. Go two to three sizes bigger!! How well does Leather Ups return policy work? Like a champ. Did the paper work, boxed it up, shipped it out. A week later I'm riding with new leather. If your looking for leather, you've found the place. Thanx for everything Leather Up!

This jacket is awesome. I, too, ordered one size up based on the reviews that I had read and it fits great. The jacket is quite heavy and has the armor in all the right places. I feel completely confident riding with this Xelement jacket for protection. Might I say that it's warm as well! I haven't had the chance to test it out in anything but brisk weather so I can't comment on the vents. I've since made 4 more purchases from Leatherup and ALL have been great!

I bought the jacket for a very special person in my life as a Christmas gift. It fit his frame well as he is a tall broad shoulder man. The price was GREAT for the craftmanship and style of the jacket. He and I were very impressed with the jacket and would recommend to other riders. The only problem is that it runs small... but easily solved order a size larger....

I really like this jacket due to it is a high quality leather. It really breaks the coldness, that my other leather jacket does not. I really looks good and the extra padding gives you a feel of a lot less damage if you go down. I really recommend getting 1 or 2 sizes bigger, for example I usually wear a large and got an extra large, this too was too small so I exchanged to 2xl which fits great. This brings me to exchange, it took about 2 weeks after getting jacket to get an exchange. The first jacket had a bad zipper, and the second one had a button immediatley pop off (the one that holds the quilt inner liner). My wife sewed it back on, so no big deal. Overall great jacket, just marked it down a point due to zipper, button and time to get an exchange.

Bought this jacket for my stepson who is particular about what he wears and he really liked it. An extra large fit his medium large frame perfectly. The jacket is solid with good seams and a great removable inner lining. The vents are perfect for the midwest weather where it can be cold in the morning and nights but steamy hot in the afternoon. This is the second item I have perchased from Leatherup.com and I am very satisfied with their quality of product for a great price. I will order more product with confidence because of their track record.

The jacket runs on the small size. I read the reviews and ordered a 2xl. It was still tight and the lining was not fitted correctly for the size of the jacket. I removed the lining and it did fit a little better. Had I not waithed for 14 days, I may have returned it for a 3XL. If you plan on ordering make sure you size 1 larger. I am 6'0, 225 lbs. a 2xl was a bit small. The leather is high grade. It looks great. Overall it is a nice jacket. I will probably order again from them. The prices can't be beat.

Again, a nice leather jacket from Leather UP! I have the Defiance jacket, with the meshed arms, but is a bit colder on 40 degree mornings. This jacket does fit very snug, so you may consider ordering up a size. I wear two heavy shirts under jacket, , and not alot of room to move. But with a t-shirt only, the jacket is a perfect fit, and with the vent zippers front and back, it also gives more room in the jacket when zipped down. A great fit, and look in this one!!! Shipping was fast and a breeze to order. Thanks L UP.

This is a great jacket! I get alot of compliments from friends and strangers. Just like everyone else, I ordered one size larger and.... a perfect fit! Snug, just like a real motorcycle jacket should be. I've road with it in 40 degree and 80 degree weather and it kept me warm on cool days and cool on warm days. This jacket is a definite must if you're gonna ride. First timers, be ware, it is a little heavier than the average everyday leather jacket, but again, you need that weight for protection and safety. Great quality leather, arm length is longer than average, but that's a good thing when you've got your hands on the handlebars (even ape hangers). If you're having trouble trying to decide on what kind of motorcycle jacket to buy, look no further than this one. It's a great jacket at an even better price. Enjoy!! I know I will !

I love this jacket. It's thug enough to go with my HR Giger themed bike & protective enough to make supersport touring practical. My only two qualms: - sizing! I wear 2XL t-shirts and 3xl jackets, generally! The 5XL fits me perfectly - the liner sleevebuttons are a pain to reattach Otherwise I couldn't want more in a jacket. Lots of venting panels if needed. I used this jacket as the topmost of 4 layers in 40 degrees last night. So, it can hold its heat relatively well!

I'm 6'5" 265 LBS. The 2xl was like a large. So then I tried the 4xL. Even that size barely fits. Wish the sleeves were 2' longer. Also wish I would have ordered 5x instead. Thought 5x would be huge. But after seeing the 4x, It probably would have fit perfectly. Don't haven't decided if I want to spend the money again to send it back to exchange it or not. Other than that, the Quality and the thickness of the leather is great.

This jacket fits like it is supposed to... if you wear an XL, it will fit. The other reviews are probably looking for a more loose fitting jacket, this is a designed fitted jacket. I am 6' 1" and 200 pounds, this XL jacket fits perfectly and snug like it is supposed to. If you do want something a looser then yes you should get one size larger, but if you want it to fit like it is designed to fit, go for your normal size.

This is an outstandingly warm jacket!! It does have it's flaws, don't get me wrong, but it is warm, attractive, and a great overall jacket. The minuses are that the sleeves are tight, especially over the forearms. I ordered one size larger than normal, and would have returned a regular size jacket. The other problem was the top snap broke off, but I found a guy who replaced it for me at a minimal cost. The pluses are that it looks great, feels great, and is very warm. I wear it early morning before sun comes up, and haven't had to wear anything other than my regular work shirt.

The jacket fits great. I've owned this for about 2 months now, been in 20 degrees with just undershirt and t-shirt. Don't really know about hot weather rides but if I can put a regular leather jacket on in 90s degrees I'd figure this will work out just fine. Liner's also removable, so that's a plus. Reason I gave this a 4 star is, the side pockets are bad design. I can't unzip it with same side hand, and cannot reach it with the other hand, not without a bit struggling.

Well, I guess you get what you pay for. All the warnings about improper sizing should have been an indicator of the overall quality. While the chest fit fine after heeding others' advice, there are serious issues with the construction quality. The most prevalent problem is with the stitching which has mistakes and errors on nearly every seam; this is much more than just a cosmetic problem and I will be surprised if this lasts more than a couple seasons. Again, for the price you really shouldn't see this jacket as an investment. Oh, and one thing about the jacket's fit that is not mentioned by other reviewers is that the cut is definitely for a rider who has a little extra padding around the waist. Even with the velcro waist straps cinched all the way down it was still very loose. Additionally, the snap closure cuffs let in a lot of wind if you have slender wrists and is of course not adjustable without a trip to your local leather repair shop. The bottom line is that this is not the incredible bargain that other reviewers claim, but it is at least priced appropriately for the quality you're getting.

Jacket fits well every where. Sleeves could stand to be another 1" or 2" longer for the ride, but gauntlet gloves fir that problem. They don't tell you the front of the sleeves are made of diving suit. The jacket over all is really nice and functions. Alway order one size up.

When I initially ordered, I ordered up a size with an XL, as recommended by other reviewers. XL was actually a bit too bit for me, so I had to process an exchange. I'm a lean 6' 175lbs and L worked out okay. Jacket is wonderful and my exchange process went smoothly as well

Amazing! I get compliments about the jacket all the time. Definitely take everyone's suggestions about buying a size larger than you're used to. I'm typically a medium, but I got a large it fits perfectly. Thanks LeatherUp for such a great jacket for such a low price! Hope everyone else enjoys their purchases as well!

Great Jacket! Once again Leatherup you did not dissappoint. Very stylish and comfortable. It did seem a size small at first as others have said, but give it a little time to "break in" and it's perfect. If you're going to wear in cold weather with bulk clothing or jacket underneath then definitely buy a size larger, but if just one shirt in cool weather, the size with "break in" is just right. Vents are very functional, zippers well constructed, and padding and liner hold in place. Thanks Leatherup!

The jacket is really nice, Fits snug so be sure to order one size up. The padding is very well integrated into the jacket body, The inner lining sleeve isn't great but I'd say compared to other leather motorcycle jackets ,it's a good value for the $$

First time ordering and got it right 1st time. Normally wear a xl and ordered one size up like the reviews say. Good fit. Even with the 2xl it is snug with a sweat shirt on underneath, but just right with light weight shirt. Good quality and well made. Shipping was fast, considering I'm in NJ. Now looking for one for the back seat driver!

Neil from BALL, LA:
The jacket arrived just on time for me to test it on a 700-mile ride. It is made well and the maker definitely uses thick leather. Having ordered a size larger (per recommendations), I like the fit in the shoulders and chest, but could wish for less room in the waist. I'm 5' 8" and weigh in at 170. Even though it comes with the adjustable straps, I cannot snug it up enough to keep out the drafts while riding on my Yamaha FJR. I'll need to do some tailoring of my own to make it just right. And while the actual lining of the jacket--not the zip-in quilted liner--is not the softest mesh around, for the price of the product, I'm quite satisfied. NBJ in Alexandria, LA

Excellent quality at an affordable price. Labor intensive stitching. The heavy leather and armor offers l the protection I was looking for. The jacket does not have reflective shoulder piping as shown on the pic and I am glad. The collar does not stand up as nice as shown on the pic. I wish that it had two snaps per sleeves to hold down the inner lining. Shipping in a larger box would have prevented many wrinkles which seem to be lessening as days go by.

I received the jacket and was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality and fit! This jacket is not your "top-shelf" brand that you hear about at motorcycle gatherings, but, don't let that disuade you from from buying it. In fact, I would highly recommend it to anyone regardless of their budget. It's got great features, looks, and all at a very cool price. The only snag I personally ran into (minor one) is the sizing. Based on many other customer reviews, I purchased one size up as recommended, but, found that for my personal fit, it was not necessary. It still fits me very well, and, gives a little room for fall/winter clothing underneath. Other than that, great jacket, great price, great experience! I give it a BIG thumbs-up!

This is an awesome jacket. High quality leather, top notch workmanship and an excellent price. Will definately buy here again. Being the summer in Florida, I thought I would be overheating, but removing the liner and unzipping the 6 vents keep me cool. The armor is removable and will be used on long trips for added safety. Awesome jaket! I get complimets everytime I wear it out. Its comfy, stylish, warm, and it makes ya feel good. Great vents for warm days. I took all the pads out because its a little more comfy that way, but with them in you feel very safe. Zippers are very sturdy and I dont think they will ever strip out. Fits over the gloves nicely. I am trying to think of something negative...I cant! Great price! This thing will not let you down. Two thumbs way up!

Listen up , SIZES RUN SMALL!!! . I'm a XL by normal standards and the 2XL is even snug . It does fit better without armor though . Excellent quality & heavy duty Protection. They could put a deeper inside pocket in it with a zipper or snap. Nice venting 6 zippered two in back and four in front. When they say it is faster to place a new order and then credit you back for the exchange they mean it . My first order came in 3 days The exchange for larger size took 13 :( Great product will buy again in 40 years when this one wears out.

Little skeptic at first, but it turned out to be great! The armor is foam and that is the only downfall. Even the really expensive jackets only have the vest zip-out liner. This is a full-sleeved liner. Heavy jacket very recommendable! Great company will do more business again.

I really like this jacket, but give it 4 stars instead of 5 for these reasons... I wish the leather were a little thicker in some areas but it's double thick in the important places. Also, at the cuffs, it uses a zipper and a snap (button) design which is okay. I like my Joe Rockey mesh design of just a good quality zipper. Also, the make sure you realze that the interior part of the arm is not leather - - it's a synthetic material that stretches, which is fine but the Item Details don't really mention this. MOST IMPORTANTLY - definitely get one size larger than you think. I bought an XL and returned it for a 2XL. I'm MUCH happier now. The 2XL is like my Joe Rocket XL size. Great jacket for the price.

This jacket runs VERY small. I usually wear a large but needed an XXL for this jacket. Also, it is a very heavy jacket. Almost feels like I'm wearing kevlar. It's so stiff that when I'm riding it makes me feel immobile. Hopefully it'll loosen up a bit after awhile. The seams at the left arm looks like they're getting ready to separate too. I guess you get what you pay for...but hey its pretty warm thoguh.

When you read the reviews here and read that these Jackets run a "little" small - it is an understatement. I wear XL, ordered XXL and when I got it, it was just like I got something size Medium. According to manufacturing measurements, I should order XXXL-Tall. Too bad no such a thing, so I returned this great looking jacket. They run way too small !!!

Tim Schmidt from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
This is a great jacket for the price I paid, under $130.00! Seems to be pretty well built & made from good heavy leather. Order a size larger than you usually wear. I followed the advise of the other reviewers & did so & it fits well. The only things I see with this jacket that could be a issue with longevity or ease of use are: Sleeves for liner hook on with a small button on the sleeve of the jacket & a small elastic loop on the liner. These do not look like they will take much abuse. Side pockets are high & far back, makes it hard to access them unless you are very flexible or have short arms. Web like lining that is exposed when you take the liner out is kind of rough if you just have a short sleeve t-shirt on for warmer days. But, these items are minor & I would highly recommend this jacket! It is very warm too. I wore it to break it in on New Years Eve. It was only 30 degrees out & I was quite warm for the 45 minutes I was outside watching fireworks. I just had a long sleeved t-shirt on under it & an ice cold beer in my hand!

Having the jacket in stock is the only problem with this jacket. I wear it in 35 degree weather, it has double armor in some areas. It's heavy comes very small in size. I had to send mine back for a replacement. I wear normally an XL but traded it in for XXXL and it fit perfectly.

Sport look to go with the M109R I ride, this jacket kills it. Well put together with quality through out. Excellent versatility with zip out liners and removable pads. Took it for a ride and it feels great with controlled air infiltration. Straight up, you feel like a bad ass with this guy on. Because of out of stock issues,I was stuck with a xxxl, a bit big in the size chart but fits perfect. Couldn't imagine wearing anything smaller, sizes run small. Get one if you can still can!

Just received it!!! What a great jacket. Few things to note though. Size is a little tighter than I expected. I usually wear Large, so I ordered it Large, however, with the lining on, it feels very tight. Now, I like the jacket so much that I don't want to exchange it, so I am crossing my fingers that the leather will stretch a little bit with use, since it is a little stiff. As far as the jacket construction is concerned, this thing is solid and just looks kickass!!! The sleeves have fabric on the front of them, which you can see in the picture, but can't really tell if it is fabric or different lit up leather. It is stretch fabric, but looks good on the jacket. The pic on here is a pretty good indication of what you are gonna get, and yes it is heavy! I will definitely buy from this site and the Xelement brand again. Very satisfied and surprised at such great quality.

Excellent jacket! The size fits perfectly, the leather is heavy but supple, the zippers all work well, the vents work well, it looks good, and the price is right. The only surprise (not really a drawback) is that it is heavy - around 9 lbs. Highly recommended.
