Jay K. from DENTON, TX:
This is my second x-elements jacket. I lost 60 lbs so the first one does not fit anymore. This one does not fit correctly. I have a 47 chest and the XL is perfect through the body. I like mine to fit a bit snugly in the chest. But the collar is not cut correctly. It rides way up and acts like a ram air scoop. It might not have if I had ordered a size larger but then the body would be too loose. I normally wear an xl shirt and jacket and I can always fit into off the rack clothing just fine. The quality is just as good as my first jacket. I might order one in a larger size but will probably order another brand next time.

this is the second purchase i've made of this jacket, the first one was too small and i did not have the patience to wait for the return trip. first off, buy a size up. period. buy a size up. this is an excelent jacket, great weight, zipout liner is warm, elastic in LEFT SIDE INSIDE CHEST POCKET for a firearm AND extra magazine. fantastic jacket, same thing retails for 499 on other websites. no look cooler than this brown leather retro style jacket. exactly what i was after.

An excellent rating in all areas except fit which I gave 4 stars due to the sizing running a little small. I had to exchange the 2xl for a 3xl I,m 6'4' 220 lbs and the 3xl fits just perfect, I was very happy with the exchange process and am over all very happy with the jacket, Thanks leather up for another home run!!!

I have been wanting a nice leather jacket for a while to use while riding. Didn't have to much money to spend, saw this one and it a good price, and now that I've got it it's become my favorite jacket in my closet.

It is a good looking jacket. Color is very dark brown. Snaps are very tight and pulling on them might tear them from leather. Fit is tight, especially in sleeves. Good jacket for value.

Great jacket! Good fit using available charts. 6' and 250lbs 4XL fits good. Excellent value, I have seen similar jackets retailing for 3 times or more the cost. Won't hesitate to order again from LeatherUp.

DAVID M. from ALLISON PARK, PA:
This is a very nice jacket. I wear a 3X and purchased a 4X. The 4X was a decent fit. The jacket is thick and heavy. The zip out liner is paper thin. This has the traditional pocket layout. I wanted the classic police layout with the small snap "ticket book pocket" in front. Has the belt and buckle. Nice dark brown color. I ride a rice burner now so I like the color. Elastic gun holster in pocket with what I think is a spare mag holder. Jacket will save your skin if you go down. I need to lose a little weight to get it to zip up so I should be motivated. Nice jacket for the money.

Dan from Roseville,CA This is a great coat for the money. The leather is nice and the overall appearance is that of a good spring to summer leather coat, I have other heavy leather jackets and although this one appears to bit lighter, I am by no means disappointed. I would buy this coat again in a minute and would recommend it as well. The dark brown retro leather is perfoerct with lots of pockets outside adn in, this coat is awesome. It is well worth it for anyone coonsidering a nice leather jacket for a moderate cost.

Richard K. from SAN ANTONIO, TX:
Just received my B7104 Brown (Buffalo) leather Jacket. Am very pleased! Can't hardly beat this jacket for the money! (& better still, if you can purchase "on sale"!) I'm 5'-11" and go about 195lbs. I ordered the large expecting that it would be a bit "snug", and it is. Since I have another leather jacket in X-large, I wanted to have a trimmer jacket for Spring to Fall riding. I'd still likely recommend going a size up if you're only going to have the one jacket. Going a size LARGER is particularly important if your "six-pack" has perhaps started drifting towards a keg ... if you know what I mean. As others have noted, this jacket will be darker than you might expect, but I expect that over time it will both stretch (break-in) a bit and (color) lighten up some. Lots of pockets and storage! Looks really sharp! You can't go wrong with this jacket!

Robert A. from ARLINGTON, TX:
Okay so I like this jacket a lot! I'm a medium size guy with a medium size build (most clothing I buy is medium and the measurements are the same as when I get something tailored) and I agree that you should definitely get a size larger than your normal. Cannot attest to its durability, I am not a biker simply love the retro look, but it seems pretty durable. The leather is soft with a nice gleam to it. One thing I noticed that is a bit different from similar jackets that I own is that the arms actually fit me. Others are always too short but these fit me just right. All in all awesome jacket with a cool look at a great price. If you're interested it is certainly worth it.

A lot of jacket for the price paid, a great deal. this is a cool looking jacket and fit me perfectly. I ordered a XL and it fits great. I normally take a men's L or 44 and took a chance on ordering a XL. Made the right choice. Only thing is that my jacket is darker than expected, it is very dark brown, but that's not a problem.

brett c. from WICKLIFFE, OH:
OK, I've only had the jacket for a day so I really can't attest to its durability, only time will tell. However, as far as what can be told from just inspecting the jacket, here's what I've come up with. First, it's great looking, the picture doesn't do it justice; however, the picture also shows a much, much lighter shade of brown than the jacket I received. My jacket is so dark I actually can't tell if it's brown or black. Secondly, I was hoping for a very heavy leather, a 2.0 mm, but this jacket seems to be on the skinny side of leather thickness, perhaps a 1.3 mm. Now I'm not saying that this isn't a quality leather jacket by any means, I'm just saying I would prefer a heavier cut of leather. Ordering a size larger is good advice and I'm glad I took it. I normally wear a L, so I ordered a XL and it fits like it was tailored for me (5' 10 1/2' @ 195 lbs) If you are thinking about wearing a hoodie or some such garment under the jacket, you might want to go up 2 sizes instead of just one; however, you will probably run into sleeve length issues at that point. The sleeves land just above my knuckles with my arms down, and ride right at my wrists with my arms up on my ape hangers (shoulder level) Zippers, snaps and seams all seem of sturdy construction, inner liner is a bit flimsy and if you are considering carrying concealed in the inner pockets, get a pocket liner or you will tear right through the fabric. All in all, a really nice jacket and for the price, I don't think you can go wrong here. The wife likes it on me and after 32 years together, I'll take her word for it.

Dale F. from COTTAGE GROVE, OR:
I like the zipper pockets on the front of the jacket, the small one I use for my pocket knife, and the upper one I use for a telescoping mirror that I use to check the sight gage on the oil level. The quality of the jacket is great, I would like the color a little lighter brown, but I am not complaining, the leather looks and feels fine. I like the belt, it draws in the waist and keeps the wind from blowing up the jacket on rides. I only wear the jacket when on my motorcycle. I plan to put mink oil on the jacket to make it water proof. It has some oil already I think, but I mink oiled my other jacket, and it has a wonderful supplemess from the mink oil. It rains a lot in Oregon, so having it water proof is a good idea, the mink oil is only about $8.00 a bottle and worth it to preserve the leather. I am a loyal leatherup customer, I am happy with my purchase, and will order again from Leatherup.com.

What a great classic looking jacket. Fits right in with my old looking Harley Iron. I got a half helmet some goggles and went back to the 1940s. Already got lots of compliments on it. Easily adjusts to fit practically any body shape. Tough good looking hide that I think would help reduce any road rash quite effectively. Heck I look as good as Marlon Brando..LOL

This was my first purchase with LeatherUp and I was quite impressed. The shipping was fast and efficient. And the jacket is terrific. It ranks with most any similar jacket which can cost 3 or 4 times the amount in other places. The color is great - a true deep, rich brown. I was afraid that it miight be too brown-brown a jacket but its much richer and more luxe-looking a color than that. The fit was perfect. And I did order up a size. You can always tell if an item of clothing pleases both yourself and turns heads. I recieved compliments galore the first time wearing it. And they were all from complete strangers! That says something (unless I'm just THAt cute). :o)

Francisco J. from San Jose, CA:
ordered the jacket Dec 12 and recevied Dec 17 2013. Look and feel is excellent. Used it tonight to ride a short distance to the store in San Jose,Ca. 53 degrees and the jacket kept me very warm. If you are a bodybuilder or power lifter make sure you buy up a extra size. I wt 210 lbs and 5'9" tall and have a bigger upper body and small waist so the 2X size fit me perfect. It was a little tight in the arms since I have a 19-20" arm. The jacket design is old school and the lining is very nice. I would recommend this jacket to my friends for the price alone. I've seen the same jacket in motorcycle stores 2 or 3 times the price that I paid. The Dark Brown color is very old school and the brass snaps and zippers are also tan over with that old school look.

Rod B. from TALLAHASSEE, FL:
I purchased this jacket about a month ago and am a daily rider so figured I'd wait a little to say any thing about the jacket. First off, this is a very decent jacket for the price. I'm not sure you could find anything better in this price range. It is nice and heavy, weighing close to 6 pounds, and the zipper hardware is all quality. I was a little let down at the seam that ran straight down the back, since that messes with the jackets integrity, however, I am planing on modifying the jacket with additional leather armor on the back anyway. Following the reveiws of others, I ordered one size larger then I usually wear. I'm 6 foot 240lbs with broad shoulders and large chest. A 2xl fit snuggly when I first put it on. Keep in mind that much like your leather gloves it will stretch and relax over time. At first movement was a little difficult but as it's breaking in it is fairly clear that in a month or two more it will be a very comfortable jacket. I mink oiled the jacket as soon as I got it and in doing so was able to look over the whole thing, forgetting the seam down the back for a moment, this jacket is very well thought out and put together. The sleeve zippers had an annoying habit of partailly unzipping themselves at first, but as it has broken in that problem stopped. Cooler weather has hit the Tallahassee FL area and this jacket keeps me nice and warm on drives to work even without the liner inside. This is a great looking jacket that is fairly well built and delivers big for the money spent on it. Even with the modifications I plan on making, I will still fall way under the price of similar leather jackets sold elsewhere.

Great jacket for the price. Many pockets are so handy for the things you must carry. The zip out liner makes this jacket ideal for a Dixie boy with warm and cooler weather. Worn twice since purchase and have two compliments on it. The brown color is a nice change from black. I just ordered your bomber Vietnam jacket in black so I have nothing against it just tired of it myself. But this jacket keeps what you want to get at up front and what you don't need as much inside. The two gun compartments are cool. Overall this is a great jacket for a little money. I did put waterproofing "mink oil" on it as I do all my leather products and now the jacket is way cool.

David T. from JACKSON HTS, NY:
For both features and "build" quality, it's really hard to beat this jacket at more than twice the price. For example, you can get a Schott jacket model 626 for $590 (that's the current Schott website price), and, yes, that Schott is made of cow leather and this Xelement is buffalo leather, but the quality of this buffalo leather is excellent (the "finish" or the treatment on this buffalo leather is really good -- I suppose that's why they call it "premium" -- I really do like the quality of the leather in this jacket. It's tough as nails and rain beads up and falls off it like BB's, and it's actually comfortable right out of the box). Another thing is this Xelement jacket comes with gussets on the sleeves, where the zipper is -- that's something that I understand is not true with the Schott model 626. Yes, the Schott does have zippers on the sleeves, but apparently there aren't any gussets underneath those zippers, so the zippers are just ornaments (I don't own a Schott, I'm basing this on what a Schott customer who did buy this jacket reported about it on the Schott website). Another thing is the Schott 626 doesn't come with a removable liner, like this Xelement does. I've just been comparing this Xelement with one model of a Schott jacket, but I compared features with other manufacturers's jacekets also. For example, Hillside makes some really good jackets -- they've got what they call a Brown D Horsehide motorcycle jacket, which looks like a fine jacket indeed, although it costs $549.00 (that's their current website price), but despite the apparent quality of this jacket (at more than twice the price of this Xelement), it is not what I would consider a "classic" motorcycle jacket. For one thing, the zippers and the pockets and everything are all in odd places here and there on the front of that jacket. Basically, the bottom line is this: If you're looking for a classic, tough, hardworking, old-school motorcycle jacket, this will fill the bill and then some. Now, saying all that, I would add that this jacket is not perfect. No, no, no. For one thing, the zipper was really sticky, which meant I had to take a bar of soap and run it up and down that zipper a few times. Another thing is that on the belt of this jacket, the inside edges of the grommets are really rough. I mean it. Really rough. So you'll have to be careful about that when you put it on. Other than that, I can't think of one single negative thing to say about this jacket. So great job, Xelement. And great job, LeatherUp. Here's to you both.

Great quality. But they do run small. I'm 6'1", 200 lbs and where XL stuff 99% of the time. But this jacket in XL was waaay too small. Returned and ordered a 3XL as suggested by another reviewer. Hope it fits. Cost me return shipping to find this out, so don't do the same. Order 2 sizes larger than normal.

William H. from BALDWINSVILLE, NY:
These jackets are very HEAVY and run small. I wear a 46 in a suit coat and ordered the 2XL and the fit isn't as roomy as I'd like. The price is right, but I worry about the durability of the product since I had one of the interior buttons that holds the liner close to the sleeve openings fall off on my first test fit straight out of the box. I would have never known if I hadn't later found the button laying on the floor. This isn't a big deal since I'll probably never remove the liner and will likely only use the jacket to ride in cold weather. Still, I've got jackets that are 30 years old (from Schott) that have yet to have something fall off of them - of course I think that jacket cost me $200 30 years ago too! Not bad for the price, and if this is the worst that happens to the jacket hardware, I'd take that deal all day and all night long. Ride on.

Excellent service; shipped same day and arrived the next. Quality of both the leather and tailoring is superb. Fit was spot-on. The sizing and the sleeve length are perfect: not tight and not loose. I am a 44 at the chest, 36 - 38 at the waist, I bought a XL. I find it hard to believe they can make and sell these jackets at this price. This is certainly a product and company I would recommend.

The jacket is great. the fit is nice although the sleeves could be a little looser at the wrist. After all, I am not a sheep herder from Pakistan I work construction my wrists are bigger. The zip out quiletd liner isn't lined, and I wish the belt could be removed, I never use it, but aside from that the jacket and workmanship are excellent. I love the jacket and will buy jackets from this site again.

I know leathers! I have owned, repaired, and traded leather garments for many decades. I was cautious in this purchase because I got an Xelement product from a different dealer a decade ago which as not up to my standards. This product from "Leatherup" is excellent. Firstly, the quality of the leather is heavy, yet entirely supple. The liner is less important to me and it is rather frail. The color is less important and darker than I prefer. The outer leather is what really matters. The leather stitching, visual design, fit, and hand, is stunning. The quality cannot be beat at this price. It will always be at the forefront of my many dozens of leathers. Buy one size larger!

This is a very nice jacket for the money. Leather is not quite as thick as a more costly jacket. The left sleeve lining hangs below the jacket on the outer part of my wrist. But heck I'll pay a few bucks and have that sewn up. Other than that....very nice. I'm happy.

I bought this jacket in Sept 2010. It's a great Jacket and looks good. The only problem I had was the Liner was to tight and ripped on time while I was putting it on. I took it to a Seamstress and she repaired it by putting a little more fabric in it and everything is fine. I took a trip to Angel Fire New Mexico and put 1600 miles on my bike and the Jacket kept me dry and warm. I also bought chaps from Leatherup and they made a big difference in the ride as well. I have ordered several items since and plan to keep buying as the need arises. The only reason for the Four stars was the tear in the lining

Jon C. from WILMINGTON, NC:
Fast shipping and very good customer service after I was shipped the wrong size. Nice, classic jacket. The color is very dark - if you want it more "distressed", you'll either have to wear it for a year or two, or grab some sandpaper. Looks so good that I've gotten many compliments recently. Great for the ego and instant classic street cred. In fact, because of this jacket, I've gotten a raise, my bald spot is gone, that girl over there just winked at me and my sick dog is going to live another 10 years. Can't beat it, for the money. Buy one now.

I was very pleased with the buffalo distressed leather Classic Biker jacket. I am satisfied with the quality of the jacket leather and I do agree that when ordering a person should order a size larger. It looks great, feels good. I do recommend Leatherup.com. I will be back with other orders. Thanks.

AWESOME JACKET!!! It's fits just like the reviews say, order it a little big. The quality is exceptional for the price, I get compliments on it all the time and I wear it casually too. I just with it had pit zips or other vents for warm-weather riding.

An excellent jacket for 100bucks,as thick and heavy as my old Lesco. All around a quality, solid jacket that will do what it's meant to,cut the wind and keep the gravel out of your hide. It's cut pretty snug,I'm 6'1"-215,a 2xl fits like it was tailored.I'd guess it'll stretch out a little, perfect,so far with just a t-shirt.I'm keeping it as a great summer jacket.Coudn't be happier, all around, thanks LU !
