Colleen S. from SUN PRAIRIE, WI:
I guess I should have ordered something different. The boots are large around my ankles and crinkle up. Makes them look fairly cheap.

The boot fits great and wears great. I don't have any trouble changing gears with them on but you do have to unlace the boot to get them on and off. Zipper isn't long enough. But a great boot.

Great look. Nice fit. Only issue is the zipper. True to size. Would have been perfect if it went further down.

Comfortable, classic, relatively light weight and true to size. You can easily remove the brand bling without surface damage to the heel. My heel catches on my small foot pegs but changing to mini boards should solve that issue and would happen with any boot with a heel. They are the perfect height and do not cut into the back of the calf as shorter boots might. They have a generous toe base without looking clownish so you can still comfortably wiggle your toes. Add smart wool socks to keep feet happy and sweat free even in the summer... Love them and have my eye on X29409 for winter!

Sarah S. from ITHACA, NY:
This is my third pair of these boots - I wear them almost exclusively during the winter, and very frequently during the summer, basically whenever sandals are not enough. These boots are fantastic for riding, and great for walking/hiking, too - a rare combination. A few reviews mentioned these boots being oversized; this is the OPPOSITE of my experience. I generally wear a 9, and felt I needed a 9 1/2 after my first pair in order to avoid my toes being severely cramped during the break-in period (to the point where I lost my middle-toenails, on my longest toes, on both feet), although they did wear and stretch enough to be comfortable after about a month. The larger size fit well, even after being worn. They are very water-resistant UP TO the depth of the zipper, especially after being mink-oiled. I do find the heel wears down quickly, but again, I do a LOT of hiking, and wear these boots exclusively. With the great cost of these boots, its been more economic just to replace the boot, although I understand these soles can also be replaced.

Colleen F. from PORTLAND, OR:
I ordered these because it is a good price for a good looking style of boot that is very hard to find. I was concerned about how stiff they were so I left the tags on and wore them at home a couple nights to make sure they were going to work out. The first night, there were some concerns, but by the second night, they had already started to break in. I wore them hiking today after only one full day of wear at work and they are great! I almost didn't order them because people were saying that the zipper needs to be a bit longer to allow you to slip the boot off more easily, and I really wanted a boot with a side zipper for this purpose. Happy to say that, while yes, you do have to loosen the laces a bit, you do not have to unlace them and it is not an issue for me at all. They do run a bit big, but I prefer that anyway so I ordered my usual size. Very comfy and stylish and a hard price to beat!

Love these boots! I am generally a size 11 but ordered them in a size 10 after reading the reviews that they are cut a little wider so I took the chance! They fit perfect and are extremely comfortable! They are a heavier boot and made with great durability! I wear them not only when my husband and I are out on the bike but also during the day! Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!

Just received these today so I can't speak to durability but I instantly loved them. They look great and I can't wait to wear. As others have said, the zipper does not permit untying but they fit great. I am always hesitant to order shoes online because I have narrow feet but I am so glad that I did- went with normal size.

Deborah R. from TOLEDO, OH:
I found that the zipper didn't help with getting the boot on. The boot was a bit too wide for me but with another sole insert and thicker socks the boots are comfortable. There was no break-in time because they were comfortable right away. The finish is a nice deep oil tan and the boots should be able to take some punishment. I like the soles and from having to walk in the mud they didn't let me slip one time.

This is my 2nd pair. My first pair are still in great condition for riding, but i like to wear the boots with jeans/dresses as well. Having the scuff mark on my left toe takes away from the 'look'. Love the boots. Unfortunately, when i received the 1st pair - the manufacturer had glue all over the zippers. I returned them and in true LeatherUp fashion, i had the perfect replacements in a week. I love the boots and love LeatherUp!!

I ordered these on a Thursday and received them that next Monday. Incredibly quick delivery! They look amazing and fit very well. Wonderful price, especially for how nice the boots are. I'm in love. :) You do have to unlace to put them on and take them off, the zipper doesn't make them loose enough. But they rock anyway.

Love, love, love these! Fit is true to size. Not too heavy, but sturdy. Not too clunky for foot controls. The only thing I would like to see is a longer side zipper so not to have to untie to get on and take off, but that would NOT keep me from purchasing these boots again!

Love the look and feel of this boot however it is a little difficult to slip your foot into it unless you undo the shoe strings and unzip it.. Other than that the boot is awesome. The leather is a very good quality and the fit once it is on is great.

Robbie C. from St Johns, FL:
These boots are a very solid build. Somewhat heavier than I expected, and take a week or two of wear to get them flexible enough to be comfortable. Whatever socks you wear with them will have black leather dye on them when you take the boots off, so be don't wear your fancy socks if you have any. After a week or two of breaking in, they are more comfortable and appear to be extremely well made and tough. Which is really all I care about.

Great boot for the price. Very well made. Only complaint is as others have stated that the zipper should be longer so you don't have to unlace the boot to get it on and off. Perfect for riding.

Rebecca D. from S LAKE TAHOE, CA:
So sorry I have to return these boots due to fit, they look as though they would be the perfect riding boot. Perhaps the pair I received had a manufacturing defect, but the calf opening was just too small and I couldn't get the boot to close and lace properly to protect my ankle. Before you jump to conclusions about my oversized legs, I used a tape measure to double check my calf at 8" above the floor - 12.5" The boot needed an additional 1" to close properly around my calf. I liked everything about the boots, the padded tongue, the quality of the leather, the sole - I just wish it had a larger circumference for the calf so I could lace the boot closed properly. I ordered a size 10, my normal size. The foot fit properly, the boot would not lace closed around my 12.5" calf on either foot.

Really hard to get on & off. If they had hook eyes at the top, they would be a lot better. If the zipper came down further, that would help too.

Great boot! I wore these on an all day ride, no problems. In fact I wear them about everywhere! Really get the compliments on them too. The only downer is the zipper should be longer so as the boot can be taken off/on without the unlacing. But I can live with that. Exceptional pricing, a reasonable time in shipping, I'm a happy woman. I will be a repeat customer! You guys rock @ LeatherUp.com.........

No "break-in" time needed. Took them out of the box and went on a 300 mile ride that day. Great boots. True to size. Toes could have been a little stiffer as they smashed in when I shifted, (partly my fault cause I didn't have rain covers over them and they got pretty wet without being rain sealed first.) but overall a great boot. Would definitely buy again.

I love these boots!! Exactly what I was looking for as a rider. It holds the ankles good and is high enough up the leg to give good support. One and ONLY thing I would change is I would make the side zipper go a little past the ankle. I have to lace them up every time because the zipper doesn't loosen around the ankle.. But it's not a big deal. Great buy.. And amazing price!

Sweet boots! I'm not a big fan of ordering boot on-line...but these were awesome, great fit VERY TRUE TO SIZE, not to heavy and very comforatble boot. The only negitive is that the zipper doesn't go lower then my ankle bone, which makes them kinda pointless and unnessesary. Great boot at a low price!

I love these boots. I wear a 10 EE and they are true to fit for me. They are very sturdy, durable, comfortable and bad*** looking all in one. No issues with the shifter. They give me just the needed height One draw back is air seeps in through the laces, but by far these are the best riding boots I have!

Taunya F. from Vancouver, WA:
I purchased these boots mainly for the price and I needed the extra height that the sole gives. The inside zipper was a great addition, but I find that I still need to re-tie them often because the zipper just doesn't go down far enough and it is difficult to get the boot on and off without unlacing. I also found that not only does the boot run about 1/2 size big, but it was apparently made for an extra wide foot. I find that my foot has almost too much room in the boot and I needed to put inserts into the boots so that my feet don't slosh around when I am riding (made shifting and braking a little difficult). The boots are very sturdy and well worth the price. In general I like the boots, but I will probably buy another pair for longer rides that fit a bit better.

Loved these boots right out of the box! Great quality and perfectly true to size. Heavier and tougher than a typical fashion boot, these are made for riding. However, they look and feel so good, I want to wear them all the time! I've been wearing them to work with skinny jeans tucked in, And even with leggings and a skirt. Cute and bada** at the same time! They are comfy even after 12 hours on my feet. The ONLY drawback is that they are not a quick on/off as stated. You do have to loosen laces each time, but these are worth it! LeatherUp shipped quickly also!

I really can't find anything wrong with these boots!! If anything, they're a little heavy for me, but I'm very "dainty" ;-) (ha). They are very sturdy, and will probably never wear out. They are definitely a good value for the money. The fit was very true to size, with a little extra toe room.

Fit was perfect, always not sure on on line shoes but these came and fit well right out of the box. It would have been nice for the zipper to go down a bit further but the zipper does make them easier to get on. Quality is excellent for this leather boot. I also like how they look with my new chaps.

Wore the boots to ride the first time this past weekend. They have great road grip. I bought them a half size larger to wear for winter with thicker socks and I think they will be great. A little disappointed that I still have to unlace, thought the zipper would be easy on, easy off.

Big heavy boot. The toe is high and interferes with easy shifting. Adjusting the shifter on my bike is not easily done so I found this part of the boot very disappointing. But, it is a nice heavy boot (part of what I was looking for). Also, I think the boot runs a bit big. Normally I'm an 8 and I probably should've done a 7 1/2.

These are quality boots. I'm typically a size 6 to 6.5 (I bought a 7 as my feet are wide.) The width is fine - I probably could've gotten a 6.5 instead of the 7 as the boots "relaxed" a little after I'd worn them (I just wear thicker socks.) Still very comfortable, solid manufacturing and breaking them in didn't hurt my feet. Great boot.
