| I was amazed at the quality of the leather and the structure. I am 5'5" and weigh 140#. Usually I wear an 8-10 and ordered the size 10 thinking that they would be just right with jeans underneath however, I returned the size 10 for a size 8. The size 8 fit nicely in the waist and hip however my thighs are more of a size 6 which made wearing the 8 a slight bit loose in the thigh. I kept the 8 but could have still gone down on the size.
I would recommend for any woman who has thinner legs/thighs to adjust down one size unless the waist size is more critical in fitting. Keep in mind that the waist is adjustable at the the chaps waist line, so again for my measurements I would have gone by the thigh measurement which would have sized me for a 6. |

| This is the 2nd pair I've purchased (size change). They are a good, high-quality product at a surprisingly low price. The leather is thick, yet soft and already broken-in, so they are comfortable the first time you wear them. The hardware is durable and sturdy. You can adjust the waist not only in the belt buckle but also with the ties at the back. Lots of extra length to cut and customize the inseam. Thigh expanders are comfortable, effective and don't look dorky. Size chart is true. Highly recommended. |

When I saw these I was not going to order due to not being abe to try them on and figured what do i have to lose. So I ordered the same size as the jeans I wear and much to my surprise they fit perfect. I had to cut 8" off because I am so short but other than that they are great. I took they to a taylor and he gave me a nice hem on them. Great leather too. Very soft. I am riding now even with it being December and am warm. Thanks very much. Very quick delivery. |

This is my first time buying bike leathers. I was short of time and didn't like what I saw in the local shops - so I found leatherup. I am 5'7" wear a 16 - 18 size Lee jean, heavy in the hips & thighs. I used the chart - and the chaps fit perfectly, I only needed to trim the length. They are comfortable and easy to put on. The extra zipper at the thigh will allow me to wear them down at least 2 sizes as I loose weight. |

I ordered a size down from what I normally wear only because they were sold out of the 12s and the 10 was the same only an 1/2 inch shorter but the same in all other aspects. I knew I would be cutting a few inches off of them anyway so a 10 was fine. They are very soft, comforable and run a tad big so the the 10 was fine.

| These are great chaps. My only issue I had was I had to cut off the bottom 2 snaps at 5'3". Also, they are really made for bigger thighs with the stretch insert. I have small thighs at 19" and they are a little loose in that area, but not so bad you can't wear them. But if you have thinner upper legs, I recommend getting ones without the stretchy insert. |

Going by the thigh measurement I ordered the 6. It's fits, just a bit roomy in the thigh area. I wish there was more width in the back where it laces up. I have to lace loosely a two inch gap in the back and buckling it on the second set of holes in front. Please tell Xelement to make a more generous belted closure! |

I had a hard time deciding what size to order, because I am normally a women's size 6, but according the the measurments on the size chart, I ordered a size 12. The size 12 does fit me well, just a little loose on the waist but I could always punch another belt hole if needed. So I recommend ordering based on the size chart, even if it's not even close to your normal size. Hope that helps! |

I previously ordered the Xelement womens low cut riding Chaps & really like them but the size I ordered was to big & they did not have any other sizes. The low cut chaps worked well with the style of jeans I wear. The Dual Comfort Chaps ride just above my jeans. They are fine but I really liked the low cut Chaps. Order your regular size, I am a size 8 and ordered a 10 thinking would need them bigger around the thigh but ended up sending back for the 8 and they fit perfect. Besides the elastic in the thigh to give stretchy room the zipper on the back also adds an inch if you need it. | The chaps are very comfortable though I think that I should have order a smaller size-my fault for always worrying about getting something too small. I did find the stitching a little weak. When I pulled the belt across to latch it the stitching ripped a little and also came loose at the bottom after trimming. No big deal, I've since restitched and for the price I am very happy with them. I have gotten all my riding gear from Leatherup and I'm quite satisfied. |

| After 2 previous tries, I finally got it right!! The first time I ordered these I thought they were too small, so I ordered a different style...those were WAY too big!! So I took a chance and ordered the same size as my first go around and was surprised how easy they were to put on without unzipping the sides!! I found it a bit more difficult when putting them on unzipped. The only thing I don't like about these is the fact they buckle a lot higher on the waist than pictured. I have a long torso and they still come up over my navel:/ Other than that, I would recommend these chaps to everyone!!! Price, style, comfort and quality can't be beat!!! |

| The chaps fit well - size chart was accurate. They were delivered very quickly. As others have mentioned, they have a very strong "chemical" smell, as well as a black residue when I handled them. I hung them outside for a day which helped a bit, but what made a real difference was I used leather cleaner to completely clean them. That took the smell away AND made them much softer and pliable. Good value and well made. |

| thesed are great and the size chart is right on the money..i did have 2 send the 1st pair backbut that was my fault i ride my own and my land my upper thighs are very toned so have a more slender leg in the upper thigh and take a size 8 in jeans but my upper thigh is 22.5 inches which is a 6 on the size chart .. i was afraid the waist would be 2 small.. the 8's were 2 baggy in the legs but the 6's fight like a glove.. the waist is adjustable so i could just adjust it with the laces. the 32 " length was perfect is exactly the length of my jeans so didn't even have to cut anything off and the leather is soft right out of the box. nice weight but not so heavy you feel like your lugging 30 lbs of leather around.. sexy too... and as usual shipping was fast i live in the carolinas and i get my stuff in about a week.. LOVE leather up and i tell all my friends about it even the ones who don't ride |

I have heavy thighs so I was concerned that these would be too tight, but with the elasticized panel and back zipper they fit very nicely. The quality of the leather is excellent! Very soft and supple, no 'break-in' time needed at all. I have gotten quite a bit of use out of these already and they have made a world of difference in my personal level of comfort and protection. I am a pear-shaped size 18 jeans, normally, and I ordered the size 20. Plenty of room. I do not have to un-zip the back and the elastic does not pinch anywhere. | I'm 5'8" and in-between a size 12-14 depending on the cut. I ordered a size 12 and they are perfect. The stretch leg opening allows for comfortable movement and the unfinished edge makes these long enough for the tall gals. The leather quality seems high quality - however, I would imagine without having a liner, that if they get wet, you will get some bleeding of the dye- but I haven't experienced riding in the rain with these yet to know for sure.

I actually went up one size because I was worried that they would be too snug through the thighs since I am fuller in that area. With teh zipper and elastic closures on the back of the thighs though they were plenty roomy, I could have gotten by perfectly fine with a size smaller even with blue jeans on. My only complaint is that I paid over $50 extra for 2 day shipping so I would have them before a trip and they did not arrive on time:/ I will definatley be using this company for future riding orders though! |

I love the short zippers in the back and the side snaps. I did have to have them hemmed up about an inch (my inseam is 32") so if you have a long inseam you may want to get a different set of chaps. They do need to be hemmed, by the way, as the bottom is unhemmed. |

The elastic thighs make long rides much more comfortable, especially if your doing the driving. Make sure you use your thigh measurement don't go by your size. With the elastic thigh and zipper, you have plenty of flexibility. I am usually a size 8 or 10. (my thigh measured 23 1/2") I ordered the 10 initially, but it was too big. Returned and reordered the 8 and it is perfect! At first I thought the waist was a little snug, but it stretches out quickly, plus there are the ties on back that could be loosened if needed. | These are good chaps. Although thay can get alittle baggy if on your bike and riding too long. Honestly, the one bad thing I can say is the location of the back thigh Zipper if you ride your own bike which I do. the problem is the zipper kind of scars your seat. If you are a passenger im sure its ok. But, the scratching of seat if your a driver is my only complaint otherwise its all good.

| The leather on these are beautiful, soft and supple. I ordered up two sizes because I have thick thighs I usually where a size 12 jeans so I ordered my chaps in a size 16 to ensure they fit my thighs. They were a little to loose for my taste so I am returning for a size 14. Even with using the size chart, I don't think the fit is acuarately stated. So I am paying the extra money to ship back for an exchange. That is my only negative comment. This was my 1st Leather-up purchase and even with the return, I think I will continue to make purchase here. I also ordered a jacket that I am returning for size issues as well, it is supposed to be a size L (12-14) but my 7 year old niece can fit the jacket. It wouldn't even close around my chest. |

| Since I vary between 2 different pants sizes, I ordered the chaps in the
larger size. I found them to be very generously sized (ie: too large)
so immediately ordered a smaller size so I would have them for an
upcoming ride. The smaller size was a great and comfortable fit. A
friend tried on the larger size before I had a chance to send them back
and bought them from me. We had guest in from out of town and after my
raving they each ordered a pair. So, yes! I would say that I am very
happy with my chaps. I find these to fit much better than the previous
2 pair of chaps I have purchased. The waist fits at my waist, I do not
get a gap at the top of the legs, and they fit perfectly & comfortably
when on the bike. Your processing & delivery time is outstanding. We

| Received these Chaps promptly after ordering, and the communication (email) from Leatherup was informative. Worry free ordering - great. The Chaps themselves were a gift for a friend, and believe me they look great on her. The fit is as recommended in fitting chart, and only had to snip a bit off the bottom for length. They are good for the price $69.95. Would have been unhappy if we had paid the List price $244.95.
Our only suggestion (not a complaint) would be to use a heavier grade leather in the belt. It is much too light and I expect will be the first part to 'give up' through wear and tear. Another option might be to provide a channel through the top of the chaps for a regular belt to be fitted. |

| On another site, I saw that they had instructions with photos on how to get their chaps on which sounded way too difficult for me. I was able to slip these right on with absolutely no trouble. My only complaint, which is a small one (no pun intended), is that I wish they had a larger pocket. Of course, I have yet to actually wear them while riding but I think they are going to work out just great. |

I didn't like the positioning of the zipper on the back of the thigh though - I thought it might be uncomfortable when sitting or scratch the bike. I ordered my regular size and the chaps were quite baggy. I would suggest ordering a size smaller in these. |

| First and foremost, these are great chaps and I love the quality. My only problem with them was the size chart. I measured the largest part of my thigh and ordered according to the chart... when the chaps arrived they were WAY too big. In jeans, I wear a size 14 but according to the Leatherup size chart, I wore an 18. It cost me $15.00 to send them back and I got charged another $4.50 by Leatherup for something. When the size 14's arrived, they were still too big. I'm debating whether to incur another expense and ship them back again. Getting pricy at this point. One other thing, the knee width on them is as wide as the thigh. Not so in the picture, they look more form fitting but they aren't. I would strongly suggest to the ladies that they just order their jean size and forget the Leatherup size chart (at least for these chaps). |
