Veronica C. from WETHERSFIELD, CT:
I ordered these approx. 1 size small, based on other reviews. They fit well, other than a little loose in the heels, but I tend to have a more narrow heel. I am able to wear a heavy pair of socks for both warmth and comfort. These boots look great. I haven't ridden with them yet, but looking forward to it!

THIS IS MY SECOND PAIR OF HARNESS BOOTS, BLACK, FROM XELEMENT. I ORDERED A WHOLE SIZE DOWN FOR MYSELF AND I ORDERED A HALF SIZE DOWN IN THE MEN'S HARNESS BOOTS FOR MY HUSBAND. BEST BOOTS EVER AND I HOPE THEY ALWAYS CARRY THESE ONES HERE BECAUSE IF SO, THIS WILL BE THE ONLY PLACE I WILL PURCHASE THEM.

I gave it 4 stars for fit, only because they run large. Leather up made it extremely easy to return and get my new size 8, instead of an 8.5- in a short amount of time. I love the boots, they are made very well- but I haven't gotten a chance to use them very much, but they are fantastic!

I have worn these boots one time for a 900 mile bike excursion. They are great at keeping feet warm, no issues there. Not very comfortable for walking in for an extended time, although biker boots are not made to walk in for long periods. They run very large! I ordered a half size smaller than I usually wear but could have gotten away with a full size smaller. I have extra room now for socks. Overall I really like them. Can't speak to durability as I just got them, but am happy so far.

Upon reading the other reviews, I ended up ordering a half-size smaller (I usually wear an 8 so ordered a 7.5). Can't speak to durability yet, as they only just arrived the other day... the only minor complaint about this product, I have small calfs (as I am a dancer) and the boot have so much calf room I feel like I am swimming in the boot. Otherwise the boots fit amazingly, very comfortable so far, there is enough room for 2 pairs of socks if needed...If I went any smaller, to accomidate calfs, the toe would pinch/not fit at all!

Jessica P. from NEWBERRY, FL:
I love the boot, but unfortunatly they run really large. I won't be able to wear them till the weather is cooler so i can wear several pairs of socks. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 womans boot. I seen the reveiws said they run large so i ordered a half size smaller than normal. I think if i ordered a size 7 they might have fit properly. I have another pair of Xelement boots that fit true to size. It really disappoiting beacause it costs so much to send them back. I dont feel that you should have to pay for return shipping when the product you order is so far off on the description SIZE 8 should be described as a size 10!!!

Great, sturdy boot. I took many customers' advice and ordered a half size smaller and it was perfect. I did a ton of research prior to purchasing and unless something wacky happens in the next few weeks/months, this boot is the best value out there!

Wow! what value and extremely comfortable. I ordered size 8 (I'm an 8.5) and they fit perfectly. Usually buy Harley brand but I'm sick of the high prices so took a shot at these and I'm super happy. Ridden in them twice already and they are easy to shift in, which can be a problem with boots that are too soft in the toe area. Would buy again without any hesitation. Thanks!

SO I have to say I was so excited to order these boots and couldn't wait to get them in the mail! I had read down through the reviews and they had 5 stars all the way and one of the biggest compliments was the boots overall comfort. When I received the package I excitedly opened the box and pulled them out they look amazing! I love the overall look of the boot and the sole you can tell is going to stand up well to the road. However when I went to put the boot on I was EXTREMELY dissapointed. It was not comfortable at all! It was hard as a rock! I was sooo bummed! But my awesome boyfriend told me to try them on and walk around with them for a bit so I did. I found that I have to wear socks that go up past the top of the boot so my skin doesn't get irritated from the rubbing but they didn't feel as hard as I remembered. SO I decided to wear them to work the next day (Because they go great with a pair of jeans!!) I was very surprised to find that they really ARE comfortable! I haven't taken them off since I have worn them to work everyday! They are very comfortable! So even if you pull them out and try them on and are disappointed like i was. I urge you to wear them for a bit and see! I would buy again!

Not true to size!!! Ordered size 8. Made in China and sized incorrectly. Tag says size 8 no way they are a size 9. Now I have to pay $18 to ship them back and the smaller size is out of stock. Will never buy from company again because a customer should not have to have return shipping on a pair of oversized rejects.

I took everyone's advice on here. I normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9, so I ordered the 8 1/2. WAY too small. Tight in the toe box but loose in the heel. I am trying to exchange them, but they only have one pair in stock and it's a 10. I also found the boot to be very stiff. This may be because they're too small though. I am sitting here wondering if I really got the same boots everyone on here has reviewed as far as comfort and size goes.

Love these boots - they are simply amazing! Everything from the price, to the qualtity and durability to the service! Very comfortable for everyday use - and they keep my feet warm & dry!! I did have to exchange my normal size for 1/2 size smaller (I shoudl I have listened to the other reviewers) but even the exchange process was quick and easy.

I read the reviews. Sounded too good to be true. I work outside daily doing fairly heavy labor. I have a high arch and a wide foot (most ladies boots do not ft, must order boy's size 5). HOWEVER, I ordered my usual size. They looked nice out of the box. Put on my usual "boot socks" and pulled on the boots. I couldn't believe it. The boots fit perfectly, no pinch or rub. Immediately went outside and burned brush all day. The next day, wore all day working on the tractor. It was like working in slippers. The wear; TBD. Will update the review as required. I recommend, for working outside and they certainly would look nice if I still rode. Good boot, wish they weren't made in CHina.

I read all the reviews prior to my purchase. Followed the recommendation to order a half size smaller. Worked out perfectly. Put the boots on and they fit right away no breaking in necessary. Wore them at motorcycle school and I'm very impressed. Can't wait to use them on my new ride. I recommend black socks!

Returned the original order as they were too small. They were ordered because of the comments, but were too small. The boots apparently don't run big. Ordered the actual shoe size and they fit perfectly.

I love these boots, I get so many compliments on them. I tell everyone about leatherup.com, it's the best value and the better product. I usually wear a 9 1/2 in womens shoes and an 8 1/2 to 9 in boots. I ordered an 8 1/2 and they were way too big. leatherup made it easy to return and I had my new size 8 boots quickly unfortunately they were still too big. I wear them any way and they are classy enough to wear on most any occasion. I suggest ordering smaller sizes and when I reorder my next pair I will get a 7 1/2. I recently wore them to a rally a good distance from home and they were so comfortable and kept my feet warm and well protected in the cold windy weather. Thanks leatherup for a great riding boot. I will continue to order from leatherup as I have before.

After reading the reviews, I ordered a size smaller and they fit perfectly. I have long feet and was concerned these were pull on. I've had absolutely no trouble getting them on or off, even with an old broken bone. They fit great from day one, no breaking these in...and you can't beat the price.

Lisa K. from TN OF TONA, NY:
Have a pair of River Road harness boots that are very comfortable & I wear all the time at work as well as riding. After 4 years, all that wear is starting to show, so started looking around at other harness boots because it was hard for me to justify $150 on another pair of RRs. Decided to try the Xelement Harness boots...just got my boots yesterday and they are very comfortable right out of the box. I did order a half size down after reading other reviews and they fit perfectly. What I am REALLY pleased with is the sole/heel construction, which is more substantial than my RRs. The RR's have a "cutaway" heel, which has less surface area where it meets the road. The heels are also very noisy on hard surfaces, which is annoying. The heels on the Xelements are not cutaways, AND they are quiet; the sole is a bit thicker than the RR's, too. Look at the picture profile of the two harness boots and you'll see what I mean. These boots don't have the zippers like the RR's, but I never used those anyway, used the bootstraps if I needed to pull them on. I still love my RR's and my Frye harness boots, they are old comfy friends, but the Xelements are fantastic and the price for what you get is fabulous!! I meant to give these boots 5 stars in all the categories- I think I accidentally gave less than 5 in one or more categories, but didn't see an option to edit the ratings. I love these so much I ordered a second pair along with some other goodies from LeatherUp! So glad I found this website!

These boots are literally the best ever! I work in the service industry and wear them 5 nights a week. They not only hold up for almost 5 years between pairs (I am not on my 3rd) but are immediately comfortable and supportive for someone working an 8 hour shift. I get complements all the time and have turned at least a half dozen co-workers onto these amazing boots.

After reading reviews, I took the advice of many and ordered a half size smaller. VERY glad I did. The boots fit great and are comfortable to wear. The other boots I had been wearing were a bit short and my legs would get cold because my jeans would creep up over the boot top. Not with these! The height is perfect.

I usually wear a 6 & 1/2 to size 7. I read a whole bunch of these reviews before ordering because I don't like going through the return process. After much reading I decided to go down 1/2 a size to a 6 & 1/2. So glad I did!! Thanks reviewers! These boots RUN LARGER. The weird thing is customer service (not too friendly I might add) is rigid with the running "true to size". They do not. Maybe they are afraid of giving the wrong information, but the fact is, customers need to know, to avoid the return process they probably deal with for this item. You'll wind up returning them and wanting to size down. I love these boots and these products on this site are really great for the price. Can't wait to wear them and thanks everyone for your helpful reviews.

In love with these boots, will be buying the brown pair soon. I was nervous about buying riding boots online without being able to try them on first. I usually wear around a 9 or 9 1/2. Went with the 9. I have large calves...very large! Which is why I was so apprehensive about buying without trying on. When I got them, they didn't fit around my lower calf, they were bunching at the ankle, which was uncomfortable. Luckily, they're made with nice leather that can be stretched! Now they fit perfectly and they're so comfortable. Walked around all day in them, didn't hurt my feet one bit, felt like I had worn them a hundred times already. Highly Reccommend these boots!!!

Loved these boots the from the first moment I pulled them out of the box. The fit was a little loose, but in Alaska with chilly riding, it was perfect for adding a thick pair of socks. I didn't give these boots a full 5 star rating because I waterproofed them the next spring and the leather toe box (actually the whole boot) softened up. Still a great boot, but not as comfortable to shift with and a loss of some of the stability.

I absolutely love doing business with LeatherUp! I ordered these boots and they were on my doorstep within a few days! They fit perfect! I use a size Women's size 9 and they are comfortable, not tight. It allows room for me to wear my inserts. The leather is thick and the seams are sturdy: Well made! They are so comfortable and I am able to walk in these boots for a long time. I didn't have to break them in at all. The thick soles and heal will add to the longevity of these boots. They feel very comfortable. Also, I am able to scoot my bike backwards up a slight incline into my garage without having my boots slide from under me. They have good traction. I highly recommend these boots! I also bought a brown pair of Xelement Women's harness boots. I feel the same way about them, but they do not have good traction. Maybe I need to re-sole them. Afterall, they are 4 years old! The system wouldn't let me add a review on the brown boots; it said I didn't own them and, therefore, couldn't leave a review. Hmmm...

Cheryl J. from ROCKY MOUNT, NC:
I paid $79.90, discount applied, shipping, taxes included. That is a very good price for what I got: leather uppers, non-slip soles, soft and comfortable out of the box. These are easily $150 to $200 boots. I already have brown color Xelement Harness boots which are excellent and I think my new black harness boots should wear well. So, I ordered down a 1/2 size and with one pair of thick crew socks these fit very well, pull on easily. And I have a wide foot, so these boots are not "B" width. I'm 5'7" and the 10 inch uppers come up to the full part of my calf, very comfortable. The squarish heal shape and height are boring not fasionable, these are workboots. Very pleased, recommended.

I ordered a pair for myself and a pair for my wife. When the boots arrived mine were fine but my wifes were too big even though the size she ordered was what she usually wears. I would suggest that leatherup put in thier advertisement boots run big. Now that we have the boots replaced we are both very happy with the boots and will purchase from leatherup again as we have purchase quite a few items and have always been pleased with thier products and service.

Jennifer D. from OAKLAND, CA:
The boots appeared to be fairly well made and solid. Unfortunately, even after ordering a half-size smaller so that the length was accurate this did not make these a good fit :( These boots are very wide in the heel area and if you have even slightly narrow feet they will not fit no matter what size you order. I didnt want to have to wear two pairs of socks with them all the time and sole inserts so had to send them back. I am very unhappy with the fact that LeatherUp will not cover shipping cost for the return. I will NOT order from this company again due to it costing me nearly $20 just to return these boots when I know they get a discount rate from carriers such as FedEx and it is not necessary to screw the customer in this manner. You also have to pay for shipping when you order the boots so overall my experience with this company has been unsatisfactory. If you dont mind losing $30 for no good reason then you will be fine but I suggest ordering from one of the multiple other footwear companies that offer free shipping, especially on returns if the product is not a good fit/quality/etc.

Jennifer M. from HENDERSONVLLE, NC:
I already had the brown distressed and decided I needed the black, as well. First, there is no way I could wear anything smaller than my normal size. I wear a 9 and I put thin memory foam insoles(I use the 2 oz miracle ons by Profoot that I get at WMart) in some of my shoes. I have insoles in my brown distressed because after wearing them for a few hours, I could tell I'd need them(not so comfy without for me). With the insoles in, they feel great. The brown ones are a lot softer. The tops flop over. These black ones ae rigid and stiffer. I love them both. Xelelment boots are worth every penny, and Leatherup has the best deal on them.
