| I live in Northern New York, and I already had to take the liner out of the jacket. It is warm, comfortable, and true to size. I just started riding, and I took the jacket in to work to show my buddies, and they could not believe how much I paid for it. If you are looking for a good jacket, you can stop looking right here, you found it. |

M. Edwin V. from AUBURN, AL: |
| This jacket was the perfect solution to my needs. I was looking for an armored jacket with some reflective material. This jacket has both. The armor is well placed and is comfortable and the reflective strip is long (running across the chest and back and down the arms) and highly reflective. The Velcro, for cinching down the elbow armor and tightening up the lower part of the jacket, work well (easy to manipulate while wearing gloves) and don’t restrict movement or bind in the elbows. As others have stated, this is a warm jacket. I have only used it in 50-60 degree weather, but I have only ever worn a t-shirt under it and it can still get a bit warm, if the sun is out. The pocket that is available just inside the zipper on the left-hand side is handy (my phone usually ends up in it). I do wish that the collar was less bulky, but it isn’t a major concern. This jacket was a really good deal and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another, should I need one.
As for the fit, I went with what everybody else recommended and went a size up. I’m about 5’ 9” and 160lbs. so I went with the large. It fits well through the shoulders and torso, but the sleeves were slightly long. However, the Velcro wrist adjustment allows me to tighten them down just enough to keep them from sliding down on my hand. |

JIMMY S. from AMELIA, VA: |
| Exactly what I wanted. Very nice and SHARP LOOKING jacket. The collar sticks up in the back just enough to seal out cold air when riding at night with fullface helmet, Extra few inches on the tail of jacket serves the same purpose. I am 5" 8' 185lbs, ordred a large. Fits excellent in the RIDING POSITION. A little tight when moving around. I wear XL in most jackets. could have returned but jacket fits and seals so well when riding. No flapping or unwanted air coming in.
I like to ride when its cold. If more movemant is desired, order up 1 size. |

| Delivery was quick. The jacket looks good and fits great. Do not put in the liner unless it is less than 60 degrees F. The ventilation helps some but this is a very warm jacket. The armor is very good. I practice a lot of tight maneuvers and the armor sure saves the elbows. :-) |

Anela S. from LAS VEGAS, NV: |
| I ordered this jacket for my boyfriend. It had all the specs he was looking for. I followed the advice of other reviews and ordered a size up. My boyfriend loved the jacket, great look and quality. It fit well EXCEPT under the arms and through the chest area. When he raised his arms in a natural riding position, the seams in the underarm felt tight or restrictive. I was wondering if anyone else encountered this problem. My boyfriend is a little stocky, 5'10 220 lbs. Broad chest and big arms. I ordered a 2XL and am afraid if I exchange it for 3XL, the rest of the jacket will be too big. Will exchange for a different jacket. Other than the inconsistent fit, I'd rate this jacket 5 stars. |

| I'm 5'8" and 165lbs (42" chest and 34" waist) and ordered a Large. I love the jacket (construction, design details, etc.) but the size chart is totally off. I probably should have gotten an XL, as the waist is pretty small, but I'm sticking with the Large, as I think it will give a little over time. Great jacket for the price. |

| Nice jacket at a great price for what you get. The added elbow kevlar is a bonus. I also have a pair of the Xelement pants that zip to the jacket which keep it from riding up. The velcro adjustments are abundant and allow you to cinch the jacket up at your wrists (plus zippers at the wrists), elbow and waist keeping it nicely snug all around. It gets a little warm at temps over 85, but not too bad and has several zippered vents and rear exhaust that work well. I've ridden in temps just below 50 without the liner and I'm still warm. I purchased the medium. I'm 5'10, 150lb 41" chest, 30" waist and the M fits very well. |

| I owned an earlier version (2007) of this jacket and that one wore well but it started to show its age. This jacket is better made and looks good. I did have to buy an XL vs the older jacket's Lg size. The bottom of the zipper is difficult to engage but this is the only complaint I have. This is the best jacket for the money around. |

| This jacket is great. No one guesses what I paid for it. They usually guess 2-3 times what I paid. Just used today. The sun is out but it was a little chilly and windy. I was very comfortable. I'm a female, 5'5" 130 lbs. I ordered a medium and it's just the size I wanted. I have room to add more clothing under if I need to. The zippers gets hung-up by the material once in a while but over all this was a great purchase. Jen, Chicago |

Bryan S. from PINE BLUFFS, WY: |
| I bought this over other Xelement jackets because of the BRIGHT reflective strip across the back, and I have not been disappointed! Safety is the main reason for buying any riding gear, and this jacket has many features that will cost you in other jackets.
The level of padding in this jacket is great. The elbow pads are pretty stiff, but I would rather have that than flimsy ones that don't protect in the event of a crash.
The ventilation is ok in this jacket, but it does stay pretty warm. I have stopped wearing it during the summer months for all but long highway rides. Also, if you have the vents all open you get somewhat of a sail effect, which makes your ride a little tougher.
Overall I would highly recommend. |

| Just to let you know (because of other reviews), I'm 5'9", 210 lbs, waist ~40-42, chest ~42. Jacket size XL a little snug around the bottom of jacket (with side elastic streched almost all the way out). Returning for a 2XL. I had measured everything. The same brand, Xelement, boots & gloves fit exactly right, & Xelement pants, OK /slightly loose. This Xelement jacket, however, had to be sized up, from a L/XL/40-42, to a 2XL, in my case. If you're not real trim (i.e. some spare tire) around waist, I'd bet on 2 sizes up from the size based on your chest measurement. |

| Have worn this jacket a little over two weeks now with the zip out liner removed. I'm a a big guy (6'4" 250#) and ordered the 3X size. Jacket fits well and the zippered vents provide plenty of air circulation to keep you cool in the heat.
Being a new rider , I like the armor built into the jacket . You can't beat this jacket for the price. The collar snap is the only part of the jacket that is hard to get snapped. Tried some snap lube but didn't really help. Hoping it just needs broke in. Overall 5 stars. Shipping was fast and arrived on schedule. Will order from Leatherup again in the future. |

| I'm 5'11 180 lbs, large fit perfect. Pictures don't do it justice. It has been HOT in Fontana CA, 80-97 F, perfect to test the two front zipper vents and large rear vent with inner jacket liner removed, works great at speed and as long I wasn't stopped to long. Pretty much what I expected, since it's a jacket being warn on a hot day! Vents work great! Hopefully I won't have to make use of the armor, but I am glad it's there. The zippers are easy to work wearing gloves and pokets are more than enough room for wallet, keys , large smart phone ... etc. The fabric and build quality is good, you would expect to pay a lot more for this jacket. |

| New rider- this jacket is not to make a fashion statement, it's all about protection. At 1 size up, the fit is good albeit just a little stiff in the shoulders coming out of the box; but that's probably the Kevlar and my inexperience. Don't know how time will change this. But I do appreciate the design details, and all the Kevlar. At the price, very good purchase. Might bump to 5 star once I''ve got some miles with it. |

I've even had several people mention to me that they liked the look of my Xelement Jacket. I especially like the reflective tape when I'm riding at night. It stands out much better than my black leather jacket did, and it's much lighter in weight. My wife even liked it. |

| I am a pretty big fellow, this jacket didnt fit me as it tapers a bit from chest to belly. Looks and feels like a quality product, but just wont fit a large belly. I ordered a 5xl, I am 6'0" 340 lbs with a 50-52" inch waist and a bigger belly. I'm sure it wouldnt kill me to lose a bit but these jackets definately run small, as I can normally wear about anything in 4x. |

| I purchased this jacket as my first real riding jacket, it has yet to fail to impress me. I ordered the large size, being 5'10" at 155lbs, it fits perfectly and feels great. I have riden with it in temperatures down to 50 degrees and up to the low 90s its kept me comfortable throughout my entire ownership (without the liner) and couldnt be happier. At this price I couldnt believe the quality of the materials with only the zipper having room for minor improvement. You have to see it in person to appreciate its looks, I'm constantly getting compliments on its appearance. |
