They are not lined and no frills so white socks come off with some of the dye but clean right up so no foul I guess. | Took some time in choosing which boots to purchase since it's never easy buying before you try on something but reading the reviews helped ease the process once I zeroed in on the Xelement Engineer Boot. My objective was to find a boot that could be worn not just for riding but basically all day. Ordered in my true shoe size and could not be more pleased with the result. Right out of the box comfort and found these boots very comfortable to walk in without a needed "break-in" period. The straps and buckles work well for adjusting a tighter fit over the arch. For me, there is still a need to unbuckle the arch strap to get the boots on and off, which is not a big deal. Excellent qualty boot and doing business with LeatherUp is as good as it gets. |

| This is a fantastic value! The fit is not perfect - I have to double up on socks to keep my heel from lifting when I walk. They also have straps that can be tightened to help snug the boot down. Besides this, the sizing is accurate. But for the price, these can't be beat. Great quality materials and workmanship. |

| Im not one to buy stuff like this online but I liked the look of these boots so I ordered. When they came I put them on and it seemed my heel slipped a bit and the rest of the boot was snug. I wore them around the house for a half hour or so and it was much better. I've been wearing them for two weeks now and they fit nice and are comfortable. I wear them everywhere. I would definetly recommend these boots. I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 in my shoes and other boots and I ordered a 9 in these. |

| I gave my boot order a 1 in 10 chance of being something I like. I was already prefilling in the "return" slip, but they turned out to be exactly what I wanted. A little pricey though, since I found the same boot for $56 (however, you had to buy $400 worth of merchandise to get the $56 price, what a deal!).
The boots are really nice. Unlike the review from the lady that said the upper part of the boot chaffed her husband's leg . Awwwwwwwwh, poor baby leg hurt, he got major owwwww-iee. (No doubt she also pre-chews any tough parts out of his meals before he'll touch it.) I preferred to buy the extra long "boot" sock made for that very purpose, 3 pair for $13 - that solution beats the major surgery of hacking the hell out the boot just to protect his tender skin from a nasty rash.
You won't go wrong with this boot. |

Everybody in school wants them. my boy loves them he wears them every where. my boys teacher asked if he could use them in the christmas play as santa boots. cool thanks guys you made my boy happy. I have a pair exactly the same and 12 years later they still with a little rare and tear fell as comfortable as ever.

| Right out of the box, I was impressed at how heavy and well constructed the boots were. I tried them on (they fit true to size), cinched the buckles and hopped on my Deluxe for the return leg of my weekly 215 mile commute. ALong the way I hit rain, traffic and a construction zone that had me feet down in gravel for over a mile. WHen I got home, I wiped the boots clean with a paper towel and they looked as good as they had four hour earlier when I put them on for the first time. And my socks were dry!
I highly recommend this product. THey're sturdy, they look durable and the workmanship is incredible. Not only are they comfortable to ride in, they're a pleasure to walk in and they look great as well. And all for a little more than 1/2 the price the Moco is charging for their Big Surs. |

| I love the look and feel of these boots--sturdy, without looking too rugged (the soles are not lugged so you can actually wear them to a restaurant or even to work). I was worried about the sizing as some reviewers say they're exact and some say they run big. I wear an 8 1/2 to 9 depending on the shoe but 9 was out of stock so I ordered 8 1/2 and the size is dead on. There is more vertical room (above my toes) than I'm used to with a standard shoe but this is remedied by an insole which snugs things up. Order with confidence if you like this style--you won't be disappointed. |

My biggest problem w/ the order was FEDEX ground...I orderd on Sunday, I got conformation from Leather-up that my boots were to be shipped on Monday-FEDEX didn't pick them up for 2 days! When all was said and done it took my boots 8 days to get here...a little disappointing after hearing other reviews saying how fast stuff normally arrived. | Very high quality boot for the price. Albeit this, they run LOOSE...read on. I usually wear a 10.5 wide, sometimes 11 regular to wide. I got the 10.5 (regular I assume) and I was swimming in them. First, I had to make an extra hole on the ankle straps to tighten up. I suggest keeping the calf strap loose so you can get in and out of them easily, and with less wear on the leather (but these sons-a-guns are heavy duty...craftsman wise and literally). Next, I bought some gel insoles to stack on-top of the stock insoles. That provided a more filling feeling, yes, but elevating my foot too much and made my heel slip when walking. The stock insole IS removable however (which is a rare quality in this price range) - so I might just take the gels and the stock insoles out and buy one 'tall' arch support insole to make a good snug fit. Understand, with these types of boots (engineer / harness / executioner) you have to kinda 'tailor' them to your feet. But once you do, you're golden for YEARS in them. It's worth it, especially considering you're getting a boot for more than half off Xelement's normal $160 price, even after shipping. On shipping....FAST! Thanks leatherup - I'll be back... |

| I had been looking for engineer boots for quite some time, and although there are many different styles and options on the market I wasn't sold until I found these boots listed on Leatherup! I did have to exchange them for a half size bigger and the fit was almost perfect. I added a soft insert and they fit even more comfortably. Being a slim guy I wasn't sure if I would like the loose calf on them but the foot is nice and snug in the boot. They move a little up the top but it doesn't feel like you could kick it off your foot. That is the style of the boot to be loose at the top. The leather is high quality and they look really sharp. 100% satisfaction and a price you can't beat for the quality you receive. They could easily charge double for the boots and it wouldn't be ridiculous for the quality you get. I will be ordering again and again for all my leather/biking needs. |

(Even when they are the correct size). I also have a large calf. The adjustment at the top of these boots make for easy on and off and they aren't too tight at the calf. | I've purchased many boots and found that "inexpensive" does not always mean a sub-standard product. This is, in fact, one of those purchases. Well built, comfortable and stitching is top quality. The leather is thick and should provide many years of wear. I purchased from LeatherUp.com mainly due to other riding jackets that were also purchased from this vendor which always provided the same quality and excllent pricing. There are other boots available by other vendors, but don't be led astray by price, read the past reviews and decide whether you want to spend a greater amount of money on a pair of boots that would be hard pressed to meet the quality and price of this boot. |

| Don't even bother with any other brand. Xelement boots are amazing. The leather is full grain, thick and oil tanned. Great protection. It feels great from the first time you wear them. Also the insole is removable which I have only seen on VERY high end boots over $120. Most other boots glue them in, which is cheaper and less comfort over time. Plus you can replace these with gel or same ones when they wear out. Leatherup.com must be giving these Xelement boots away at these prices. I'm picking up the harness boot also. |
