Kevin R. from SPOKANE VLY, WA:
Great jacket for the price. Got an XL, and in the chest, shoulders and arms, it fits fantastic. It's a tad short, but that's true for any jacket for me, I've got kind of a tall torso even though I'm not very big. Breathes well enough, decent amount of pockets. Overall, a good jacket for what I paid.

Bob J. from SCOTTSDALE, AZ:
Great jacket - nicely priced. It provides all-around protection and looks great. Definately buy a size UP from what you normally wear as it is snug. I went up one size higher than the chart suggests and still fits snug. I may have been fine two sizes up. Rode in 90 degree heat and was fine with the vents open.

For the money it's ok.... Some threads have come loose, and i had to re-sew them. Some others we're ready to come loose so i put a drop of super glue on those before they came loose. Fit was actually a bit smaller then expected, but it works ok for as long as it last. But at least i have some sort of protection when i ride now....

I really like this jecket. I'm a big guy, 6' 2" 300lbs, and the 4XL fits nicely with or without the liner. I've ridden it in 40F weather without the liner and it is warm enough for 1 hour rides. The quality looks good and as usual I had it in less than 48 hours after ordering it, thanks LeatherUp!

Keith H. from GOSHEN, IN:
The jacket and liner are very nice but undersized. My JoeRocket 4XL is now too small. I like eating too much! I have a 5XL sport jacket that fits fine. The new bike jacket is very close to the size of my JoeRocket. I have already returned one other to leatherUp and feel like I should not return another. Maybe I can be good and get back down to where it will fit.

Scott R. from GRAND PRAIRIE, TX:
I've never had a mesh jacket and was hestiant to make the switch from leather. My daily ride to work is only 45 miles round trip, but I take the bike 90% of the time. Cold weather and a jacket that is supposed to breath just didn't seem like a good combination. This jacket has proven me wrong. I've worn it and rode when it was 31? with a long sleeve thermal shirt and was fine. Been in the 40's and 50's most mornings since I got it and have just worn a plain old white fruit of the loom tshirt with the liner and been warm the whole time. Size bought was a L and I'm 5'10" and 185. 15 of that is beer weight and the jacket fit well but was a little snug around the waist. Shoulder, chest and arm fit were perfect. I did take the elbow pads out. Pointy elbows were uncomfortable, but I will put them back in. The quality of the jacket is above what I expected, especially at the price. You can't even get used ones on craigslist at this price let alone this quality. When the time comes for antother jacket, it will definitely be coming from LeatherUp.

Eric R. from Cordova, TN:
First of all, I think this is an excellent jacket for the price. My only other experience with mesh jackets was a comparable TourMaster Breeze (which isn't sold anymore). I think I paid $100 for that jacket and the optional zip-out liner. This one comes with both. Construction of the jacket as a whole, material, etc. all make it an excellent buy. That being said, I did find some qwirks in it, and it might just be that I'm picky. Nevertheless, thought I'd share candid feedback in the hopes that it will help someone else make an informed decision. FIT: As has been stated here ad nauseum, you MUST add a size. And if you have any sort of non-6 pack belly at all, consider 2 sizes. I did the 1-size up thing...I wear an XL in t-shirts and whatnot so i ordered a 2XL. I'm 5'7", 230ish (36-38" waist)....certainly not Richard Simmons but IMHO not inordinately obese either. The front part of jacket was very snug (borderline tight) on my stomach. Immediately I noticed the elastic in the waistband part of the jacket would be my friend, although I did have to undo the velcro adjustment things to be able to get it zipped. Speaking of velcro....good gosh, there is a TON of velcro on this jacket. Now, I realize that it's a riding jacket. Side pockets zip...and velcro (not real friendly if you have gloves on and wanna keep them that way). Front main zipper has a flap that folds over...and is velcro, but also has snaps embeedded in them. One day after riding I was searching for the zipper but then couldn't find the flap edge to start undoing the velcro. I guess it's a good thing in a riding jacket....and maybe I'm the odd man out on this. Also, the collar of the jacket has edges at the front that has....you guessed it, more velcro. I really didn't care to fasten it (think: top button of a collared shirt), but then I had another issue....the inside of the little flaps of my helmet that extend down (the thing you pull on...that straps are connected to) have kind of a felt material on the back. So guess what it stuck to when I was riding? You guessed it. Simply turning my head to change lanes caused the "riiippp" sound of the helmet flap trying to undo itself from the jacket velcro. Also, I'd like to see a bit more reflective material, piping, etc. on the jacket, especially the rear. Doesn't seem to be much back there except two little short strips at the shoulder blade. Again, maybe I'm the weird one. Anyway...overall, it's a good jacket that IMHO is worth the money, especially with the Inbox discounts, holiday specials, etc. that LeatherUp offers. I thought about sending mine back and trying an 3XL but I'll probably just get another brand like Firstgear or TourMaster because of the little qwirks mentioned above.

Very pleased with the jacket, shipping was quick, jacket looks and feels great, only had it for short time but riding in 35 degree weather in NC keeps you very warm and no wind slips thru, well worth the money, just waiting on matching pant size to get in stock an Ill order them.

Brian Z. from PITTSBURGH, PA:
This jacket is solid. I haven't ridden in the rain, but I have been riding in 30 degree weather with just a t-shirt underneath and I'm still plenty warm. This has me a little worried for when it gets warmer out, but considering I'll be battling the cold a lot more often, it's been fine. As for the sizing, I am 6'4", and the jacket still covers the full length of my lanky arms, but I think I ordered one size too large as far as fit in the chest because I'm so used to sleeves falling short. The padding gives a sense of safety without restricting movement. Great jacket for the price.

Angelo L. from Elburn, IL:
Jacket has done as promised. 4 seasons and about 25K miles on it. Best out there? Certainly not. But I wasn't going to spend a lot on a jacket. NOT waterproof in big rain. Does a decent job with light weather. Liner in does a great job in cold weather - have been out in freezing temps with liner and layers under. Feet and hands got cold long before I felt the jacket causing me any problems. Liner out and zippers open do a good job when warm with low humidity. When it gets real hot and humid, you feel it. Never had to use the armour and hope not to. Like knowing it is there. Have been reasonably gentle on the zippers and so far, so good. Ordered a 2xl based on reviews and normally wear L or XL - good fit. Nothing better for the money. and for next year, not looking for replacement.

We just got our first and hopefully many orders. My jacket fits fine, a little snug but the next size would be too big. Have'nt ridden in it yet but it seems like it will do the job. The price is right and the quality is spot on. Do order a size up and if you are a big guy maybe two sizes.

What a nice jacket for the price. I've been wearing this now on our cool mornings here in MA and it is plenty warm. The vents work very well allowing cool air in so your not sweating. I bought my size 38 which is a medium and the jacket fits very well. It is snug but can be adjusted on the sides. Good buy for the money and I am very statisfied with my purchase.

This jacket is worth it. It provides all-around protection. Buy size up or two from what you normally wear as it is snug. 90 degree weather with the vents open and I was not hot at all. As for rain protection AWESOME water proof and heavy enough you don't feel stinging rain ( 30 July 2012 put it thru 48 miles of rain at 50 - 65 mph not by choice . I'm impressed. At night jacket's piping and reflective material lights up well for added protection and the jacket looks good. Jerry B. Pueblo, CO

Craig S. from ORANGE, CA:
I give it 5 stars because it really is cut for a certain body shape...just not mine. It's an excellent jacket! Well made and an amazing number of details. But alas, if your body dimensions are larger in the belly than in the chest, then you might have some fitting problems if you are in the upper size range offered...like me. I normally wear a 5x so I bought a size up as recommended. But my belly is a couple inches larger than my chest and my arms are large as well. It closes at the chest but there is about a 5 inch gap at the belly, and my arms are too tight. Still,it is an great jacket for those with a small or smaller waste and smaller arms. Now where do I find motorcycle jackets with this quality for big bellied/armed people like me?

The Jacket was just as described, fits great. if i had to nit-pick i would say i'm not all that pleased with the velcro over the zippers on the front pockets as it makes it quite hard to get into the pocket to fetch mints while riding :)... but all in all a very solid jacket for the price.

Charles C. from KNOXVILLE, TN:
Nice jacket. I had to order 2 sizes up. I ordered big and when I got it I needed to go up another size. Leather up was very good about exchanging the Jacket. I was surprised how much cooler the jacket was when you opened the vents. I still not sure if I can wear it on 100 degree days. But that's not the fault of the jacket. The only thing I didn't like about it was the straps at the bottom. I wish they were removable the elastic at the bottom will pull the bottom tight. Overall the jacket is nice and looks to be warm in the winter. The pads are solid but don't bother you. Well worth the money.

I am 5'5 and about 150lbs. I found the the size "L" to be snug enough on the body, but a bit long on the sleeves. I think the "M" might have been a better fit, though it might run to tight? Overall I like, it as it keeps you nice and warm with the liner. There is also good air flow with all the vents opened and the liner removed. My only problem is the the velcro by the neck area keeps biting into my skin. I will be cutting back the section to reduce this problem.

Turned out to be just what I was looking for. I may have ordered one size too large, but I'm a tall skinny guy so I was going for overall length of the jacket. It still feels great, I am definitely pleased with the quality of the material and design for the price I paid. I'm sure this will keep me from turning into ground beef if I happen to fall off the bike going 90 mph through the canyon sweepers!

It has been great. I usually wear something in between two offered sizes, so I listened to what everyone else said and ordered the larger size. It fits perfectly. It's high quality, comfortable, feature rich, nice looking, and warm. I live in a cold weather State and usually couldn't ride my bike this time of year. With this jacket, I'm not even cold a little bit.

This jacket performs very well with the insert in temps at or just below freezing with only my Navy short sleeve uniform and T-shirt underneath! It is slightly snug with my long sleeve camo uniform but is fine while riding. Though I have not tested them, I am sure the vents will work great for warm weather riding. The size was pretty true to my normal jacket size and the only negative comment is that the neck closure is a little snug and I had to trim the velcro edges so they wouldn't stick me in the neck every time I turned my head. I would recommend this jacket very much, especially for the price!

I purchased this jacket to wear in the Fall -Winter -Spring. I read the reviews on here, and decided to take the others advice. I wear a 44-46 suit jacket.. Leatherup lists Xl as 44-46, and Xxl as 48-50. I opted for 2xl and it fits great. The jacket feels solid, and the liner is warm. It should be a nice addition to my gear. Zip out liner, Zippered vents and removable armor is a plus.

HILLEL G. from FOREST HILLS, NY:
Have worn this jacket a few days now, and I am impressed. I ride a Piaggio mp3 250, and rode last few days in 40 degree weather at 60+ mph for long times, felt totally warm w only a t shirt underneath. This jacket blocks the wind, period. Ample velcro at the wrists/can go tight as you need. Several inside pockets for lots of stuff, and the 2 front pockets are roomy, positive zip, and the velcro flap over it keeps your stuff totally secure. After you zip up jacket, there is a flap that neatly folds over zipper, than a second one that velcros totally shut, with a few high quality buttons to seal the deal. The armor is abundant and well placed, I still wear an Icon back/chest protector underneath, a great combo if you really want to be protected. The lightly colored silver shoulder and back pads in picture are highly reflective, as is the piping. The waist cinchers have a really nice, well made feel, allowing you to tighten or loosen the bottom quickly and easily. With the vents open, air rushes in and through, my guess is this would be a good jacket until around 80 degrees, but maybe even higher. I can't say enough good things. I will be wearing it through the winter, on and off the bike. I just like having armored clothes, never know when it might come in handy. I am 5'7", 185 solid. XL perfect, fits right at waist, extra sleeve length pushes up w velcro ties w out looking like XL on a kid. At this price, I can afford to buy another jacket and have some variety in my life! Definitely order at least a size up from usual. Hilly Gorelick, New York
