Charles M. from BROOKLYN, NY:
Bought this for my son who is new to riding. It seemed to have all the features you want and the price was excellent. I have similar jacket from a "brand" name and this seems every bit as good at half the price.

Jonathan B. from N ATTLEBORO, MA:
This jacket runs true to size!!! 5'8, 150, in shape. Would have ordered a Medium but got Large based on reviews. It is truly a Large! With the liner in, it'll still fit a fleece underneath. Without the liner, it's a bit big. Warm for sure; have to have every vent open above 60 degrees - without the liner... Water proof, is mostly true - elbow vent zippers will leak a little at highway speed. Definitely a decent product at a good price.

Timothy P. from EDGERTON, OH:
I purchased 2 of these Jackets, The first was an extra large but it was too tight in the shouldes. I gave that one to my son. I ordered the 2xl and it fit great. I just got home from a long ride and got caught in the rain. The jacket did very well. The only damp places were where I didn't close the vents right away. I would get another.

This jacket is a steal for the price. It is really heavy duty and warm. I ended up buying the jacket as an XL and it fit me perfectly. The jacket was delivered really quickly.

This jacket is very comfortable. Lightweight and has plenty of ventilation when riding. Wish I'd a ordered one size bigger as with the liner installed its tight. Without the liner it fits perfect.

I like the jacket. It seems well constructed. The jacket is comfortable. I went with one size bigger then I normally wear and it fits perfectly. Would have been to small if I had gone with my normal size. It doesn't' breathe very well. even with all the vent zips open I was still building up a sweat.

Vernon K. from Aubrey, TX:
This jacket replaced my first Xelement motorcycle jacket - that jacket lasted 5 years before showing signs of age (a seamacross the left breast finally gave out). This jacket fits well, rides better, and looks great! I've worn it in 45-degree weather and it blocks the cold very nicely - a thin thermal underneath will have riding in comfort down to about freezing. If in doubt let me tell you - for the price you cannot go wrong with this brand jacket!

Fits very nice. Make sure to get exactly your size not one size larger. The price is very affordable I even used the 4th of July promo code that knocked down 15% off of the original price. My overall opinion of the Xelement product is very good. I will buy pants next.

Finally got my exchanged coat for the bigger size i would order a few sizes bigger, the chart showed i was right around a 50 chest but only a 38-40 waist ordered a xl large and it was pretty snug so went with the 2x fits good but a 3 x would also work im 5"10 225.. the turn around time sucked i sent it back the day after i got it. ground shipped still was $19 bucks took 2 weeks to get it back but the custumer service was very good and i have ordered stuff before and will still order more down the road, havent worn it riding yet but for the price the coat looks good and is what im looking for without the big ticket tag on it thanks Leatherup hope to buy from you again AL Pittsburgh Pa

phillip e. from COLORADO SPGS, CO:
Not impressed with this jacket. It feels flimsy, nowhere near as thick or durable feeling as my Cortech jacket. The lack of sleeve adjustments is a major flaw, the jacket fit well with the liner in, but is way too loose with the liner out. There is no phoslite reflective material. This is an OK jacket for looks, but I wouldn't want to depend on it to protect me in an accident. Spend the money and get a better jacket elsewhere, these jackets are cheap- for a reason.

Bret M. from PFLUGERVILLE, TX:
Outstanding jacket for the price, same materials and workmanship as jackets 3x the price. I am 6'2", 208 pounds, and 12% body fat. I ordered an XXL. If you are a fellow weight lifter allow yourself 1-2 sizes larger than normal, as your muscles are activated when you ride. I wanted mesh, I saw no reason to kill a cow in order to have a riding jacket, so after weeks of reading reviews I settled on this one. I freaking LOVE it. This is not my first purchase from LeatherUp and it certainly won't be my last! Love this jacket, LOVE it!

Kevin W. from SPARKS, NV:
I love this jacket! I ordered one size up from my measurements and it fit perfectly, even with the liner in. I'm 6'2 and 230lbs. with wide shoulders and the XL was exactly the right size. The zip out liner is a nice feature as at this time of year the temperature in Northern Nevada can change quickly. The zippered vents work very well and when zipped up do not allow any air to circulate. When open they are very effective at getting air into the jacket. Liner keeps me very warm even at 35 degrees. Excellent jacket for the price. Was shipped quickly as well.

Tyler M. from RAMSEY, MN:
First off, I am 23 years old, 6'0'' and around 160 pounds. I wear medium jackets all the time and followed the one size up rule. The large fits very nicely, with the quilted liner in it is snug enough to keep out the cold, and with the liner out the air flows nicely through the extra space that used to be filled with the liner. The jacket has plenty of pockets, I keep my cell phone in the outer breast, wallet in the inner zip, gloves in the front two, and I still have the "gun pocket" (Which I was unaware existed until I read the tags attached to the jacket when it arrived). The plates are barely noticeable. It fits my "lanky" arms well. The jacket looks awesome, no visual defects that I have found. The only complaint is the main outer zipper and the outer breast pocket zipper "stick" some times. They don't jam up or anything, I just have to unzip it an inch and try to zip it again. I think this should go away as the jacket gets worn in and loosens up. I would buy this jacket again, and recommend it to others.

Jacket just came in today and wow! Good looks, good padding, very breathable, flexible, and all for this price? Done. Does run a size small, so order one size larger than you expect. Also, just like all bike jackets, it's a bit short. Great quality, great price.

Yigael F. from Santa Clara, CA:
Good jacket overall. I am 5.11 tall and the medium is a good fit. Sturdy, feels strong, not cheap. Giving it only 4 out of 5 because it had a minor defect: zipper would get stuck on a inner zipper flap liner 3/4 way up. I guessed it happened bc of an inaccurate sewing job. Fixed it by taking a thread needle and sewing it the way I thought it should be, and yeah that fixed it. Now 'm happy :) One thing I've noticed: the back protector is there, but doesn't feel too strong and does not protect the tail bone. I wanted to upgrade it and found out that it's a custom size and that the after market back protectors do not fit :-\

I am very pleased with this jacket, looks and feels great. I have worn it twice and received multiple compliments each time. I hope I never have to try out the armor but the jacket appears to be well made. I'm 6'1" and 185 lbs and the Large fit just fine. Took 10 days in transit to New England via FedEx Ground, but it was free shipping.

I'm a 6' male weighing in at 185 pounds and the medium fits me like a glove. Every pad is in the perfect spot and offer great comfort for both riding and not. The only problem that I've encountered is that the exterior breast pocket is at an extremely awkward angle to get to if you need something out of it. That being said, the interior pocket on both the actual jacket and the thermal lining make up for this let down in spades.

Bobby D. from OKLAHOMA CITY, OK:
The jacket fits perfectly, thanks to all the reviewers that say to up-size. The only downside I would say would be that it needs to have the reflective bead or patches to ride onto military installations. It is very breathable even in warmer weather and hopefully I never need to test the arm and shoulder paddings but they are really comfortable in the jacket. I haven't worn it in cooler weather but I am sure when the zippered air holes are closed it will repel the cold very well.

The jacket does run a little small, so use the size guide and not your usual size. The size guide is right on. The jacket works great, is very warm even without the liner. Its keeps the wind from going through you. Great jacket for the price.

Beautiful jacket ..I was hesitant about ordering a size up. I'm 6 feet 170 pounds medium built , chest size 40 , according to the chart its within the large size , well I'm glad I did , extra large was comfortable, so do yourself a favor and order a size up. Jacket does not feel cheap , armors are comfortable, def worth it

Totalmente satisfecho! :D

Jon W. from Thousand Oaks, CA:
I purchased this jacket afteralot of research. 1st off is that the sizes of this jacket run very small. I originally ordered a 3xl as I normally wear a 2xl in most everything. It was way too small,I could get it on however it was extremely tight. I returned the jacket for exchange ( I read all of the instructions and followed them to the letter and so did Leatherup) and the exchange happened exactally as described. I bypassed the 4xl and ordered the 5xl thinking it would probably be too big, it wasn't it fit nice. The length of this jacket is designed to be short but it is the perfect length while sitting on the bike. I have been ridding with the jacket for several wees and I am really impressed with it. I went to Joanns fabric and bought some iron on reflective material and applied for better visibiity. With the cost of the reflective material and the price of this jacket it is an awesome deal. Buy 2 sizes larger and the amount of exchanges will be reduced.

Well for a short stocky guy like myself I had to order 2 sizes larger then normal. I appreciate customer service replying and informing me that this jacket runs on the small side because it's not designed for fat guys like me. LOL! But I have to say it fits good now with a little extra room for layers underneath if needed. I like the look and seeing I took a dump this last summer I'm sure the armor will be beneficial if there is a next time.

Brad S. from HGHLNDS RANCH, CO:
I ordered this jacket almost 1 year ago. As of today, it is still like brand new. It is very durable, all zippers and vents work great. I use it with and without the zip in liner and it keeps me warm down to about 40-45 degrees. Colder than that, a flannel shirt underneath and I stay really warm. I wear this probably 4 days a week average. I am a big guy and ordered a 3XL. I normally wear a 2XL and this fits great. No issues what so ever. Colar is comfortable, sleeve length is great. I am not always easy on my clothes and this shows no signs of wear. Love everything I have purchased from Leather Up. Just bought new boots. Prices and quality are great, wish I could afford to buy more.

Tobian V. from LAS VEGAS, NV:
I love this jacket!! I measured out in the top range of xl in size but decided to order a 2xl instead. That was a good choice because the jacket fits perfectly. It seems very durable and of good quality as well as gives a strong sense of security. I live in Las Vegas and it has been in the 100s so I took out the inner liner and I have a nice natural air conditioner when I am riding. The only thing I recommend is that if your concerned about being visible then maybe a visibility vest to go over it or some other visibility method should be used. The jacket is very dark and blending even during the day. Overall I give it 5 stars. Thanks again Leatherup!

Dennis P. from LEWIS MCCHORD, WA:
I love this jacket! It is easy to wear even with the armor and has plenty of pockets and very breathable. I like the fact that it has a full lining. It will be plenty warm in late fall and early spring. I have used it while its warm and it works well. It's always hot in 90 but this jacket doesn't make it any worse for sure. It breathes beautifully. Definitely follow the one size up rule though. I usually wear a large in motorcycle jackets but I followed advice and ordered one size up to the XL. Glad I did. It fits perfectly, not too loose but not so tight to be uncomfortable. This jacket is a steal at this price!

Sean L. from FORT MEADE, MD:
This jacket is great. First off, let me say that the previous reviews suggesting to go a size up is dead on. I normally wear a M and bought the L just to be on the safe side. I am glad I did. I fits like a charm. The removable liner gives the jacket that added padding for those cold days. I haven't used it yet, but it looks like it would keep me toasty for that occasion. I have yet to use my jacket at speeds over 50 mph, but it has great airflow for when I ride around base. It's super comfortable as well. A little short around the waist, but you don't notice it while riding. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is the armor plating at the shoulders. I constantly bumped into it when I would check my blind spots, but I removed the underlying pads and it has become more manageable. There is more pockets than I know what to do with. They are easy to open and close with gloves on which is also a plus. This is a great jacket and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a bargain.

On May 29th, by no fault of my own, I tested the protective qualities of this jacket. A cage hit the back of my bike and knocked it out from under me. I hit the pavement at about 50mph. Lost no hide except small spot on each knee and back of one hand. Jacket did its job 100%, had to be cut off me, but I'll be ordering another Xelement jacket soon.

Overall a great jacket. I'm 6ft tall and it's a little short in the torso for me but other than than a good fit. Go one size up!!!. Only other think I dont like are the outside shoulder pads. Internal pads work fine for me. Ridding a Road Glide CVO, but look like I should be on a knee dragger. That said, I realize it's not how I look, but rather the protection the gear gives me. Again, real nice jacket for the price. Oh,... rode in temp around 95degs and and with the linner out, it wasnt that bad. Really didnt notice it with the zipper vents open. Definatelly recommended.

Peter V. from Hudsonville, MI:
This is a great jacket and I love everything about it. I have been riding in it for about a month now with the lining zipped out and it is incredibly comfortable and seems very durable. It has been in the 80's and 90's out lately including a few days near 100 degrees and with the lining removed and the vents all open, I am perfectly comfortable while riding. It obviously gets very warm when sitting still, but basically anything would. As far as fitting, I took the advice of one of the other reviewers and had my wife measure my chest while it was flexed and she got a measurement of 39" which is right in between sizes (unflexed my chest was 36"). I think the idea to measure a flexed chest is a good idea, but because I was between sizes I decided to order up to a large and now wish I hadn't. After riding in it for about a month now, I'm wishing I had gone with a medium instead. Other than trying to get the size right, which can be difficult (true for any online ordering) this is an excellent jacket. Love the fabric, love the look, love the armor, and more than anything, love the vents!

This jacket is very comfortable, but you definitely have to go one size larger when ordering. The protective armor is not constricting but is comforting to know it's there. It got really hot outside, so I took out the removable interior armor pieces which helps a little. All and all, I am extremely pleased with the jacket and the price.
