Wallace N. from Roswell, GA:
I ordered a straight fit size, because many of the other ratings suggested downsizing one size as they said the suit fit very large. I figured the suit was sized larger to accommodate gear one wears under it. So, the X-Large fits well, but I don't think I can wear a jacket under it, maybe a vest. The pants fit about right. So, maybe the manufacturer made an adjustment due to the previous comments about being too large. But, I think if I ordered again, I'd order the XXL for the above-stated reasons.

Ray B. from Virginia Beach, VA:
After weeks and almost months of research, I decided to go with the Xelement Men's Armored Black Two-Piece Armored Rainsuit. This definitely fits larger than the sizing chart indicates. I'm 5' 10" @ 200 lbs, normally wearing a L or XL leather jacket and found the pants to be REALLY long and the jacket to still be rather large. Probably could have gone down to a Medium, but didn't want the hassle. Outside of the 'fit,' this is a great rainsuit. The built-in boot covers are awesome and really help keep your entire body dry. Please note that this rainsuit requires a decent amount of storage space. I ride a Road Kind and this rainsuit almost fills an entire saddlebag!

Jack W. from TUCSON, AZ:
This rain suit, like other products I have purchased from LeatherUp, is an excellent value for the money. I haven't had an occasion to use it yet, but the quality of design, materials and construction is significantly better than a H-D rain suit that I used to have. I don't think H-D even offers an armored rain suit unless it is a recent addition to their product line. And the cost will be substantially higher no matter what H-D offers. I searched for other rain suits by various manufacturers, and none come close to this one in price, features and value.

I'm a big man 6'2" 360 pounds and the 5xl suit fit great over my other clothes I was very pleased with the suits they pack up in space bags very well and take up very little room. How about the ones with armor but remove the armor it would not stay in place and made the suits uncomfortable without the armor the suits were awesome!

Derek W. from LOGAN, UT:
I like this rain suit. I bought it a size larger than I normally would have so it would fit over any other riding gear that I'd need to wear. The "seat panel" is a nice feature, it prevents your butt from getting soaked when your seat is wet. The only thing about this suit that I'm not happy with is the "drop-down waterproof boot covers." It's a good concept, but they didn't make them very functional. I don't know what kind of boots they were wearing when they designed these pants, but I have two different pairs of steel toe boots that I wear to work and the covers won't fit over either of them. They might fit over a pair of thin-soled, slip-on Dr. Marten's I own, but I wouldn't be wearing those to ride if the weather forecast was predicting rain. Now, I admit, I do not own a pair of actual riding boots, so the boot covers may cover them just fine, but from what I've seen of the ones I've looked at, they have thick soles and big round toes, just like steel toe boots. It just seems like they designed the boot covers to fit over a normal pair of shoes, not a pair of boots.

jimmy w. from GRESHAM, OR:
I picked these up based on the reviews and the fact that it seemed to be what i needed. After trying them on i put them to the test and sat on my bike and let my wife hit me with the spray nozzle from the hose. The pants are in fact protective and very waterproof. The jacket however is not. the front zipper area leaked very little but did leak. It was the back accordian area that leaked bad! It seems like the area was stiched and not sealed at all. When i lifted it to the light to inspect it, i found that the waterproof material had several holes in it allowing water to penetrate soaking me. All in all it is a very comfortable set that looks and fit great as well as fit the bill to what i wanted... only problem was it failed the test ride...what i recieved was not waterproof.

Judith T. from Hudson, FL:
As most reviews have stated it does run big...go with at least 1 size smaller. The "armor" wasn't placed well for my husband's body - maybe suited better for someone taller that 5'8". The attached boot covers weren't wide enough to fit over riding boots so we cut them out. Overall it did what it was supposed to do....keep my husband dry. We rode through torrential rain from FL to SD and it kept him dry. Heavy duty materials and good construction. Worth the price!

Suit does run big I have used several times in a mild rain and it works great. Seems very well made and is reinforced in the bottom and sides of the legs. I removed most of the armor inserts just did not work for me. I would buy again quick shipping and a good price.

Heather D. from BALTIMORE, MD:
I bought this for my man as a birthday gift - he LOVES it. He keeps completely dry no matter how hard it rains & he loves that it has the shoe/boot covers attached. The only issue was the pants were slightly baggy (he probably needs a different size in the top than in the bottom) but it still is a great deal at a great price! LOVE IT, definitely recommend.

I just recently purchased this rainsuit and drove all the way through Kentucky in heavy thunderstorms. I was very impressed with the quality. I stayed warm and the suit kept me dry. I was amazed that I was completely dry considering the amount of rain that fell. I would recommend this suit to anyone. GREAT PRODUCT.

I might possibly update this review after I've had a chance to give them a real work out. I purchased them for a trip and ended up having to take the cage. They appear durable and they certainly fit over my leathers. I may be trying them out next week simply as a means of cutting the 15 degrees during my 55 mile morning ride to Reno.

Randell S. from ST AUGUSTINE, FL:
I give it a 3 star because going by the size chart will fool you. I am 6' tall and weigh in around 225#. I chose the LARGE size and this thing is way too big for me. The pants are so long that there is nearly enough room for 2 in there. If you buy this and are about my size pick the medium at most. CHANGE THE SIZE CHART!!! Also..don't try and suit up with any foot wear other than socks. You will fight it and end up tearing up the lining BUT!! the suit works great. 36 miles in the rain and not a drop got on me. Great product, screwed up size chart.

Steven Geyer from Melrose Park, IL:
Bought 2 sizes smaller(M) and it fits perfect over my other jacket(XL). Pants fit good but are bulky @ shins because of boot covers ( I might remove boot covers. should be attached with Velcro instead) Boot covers fit my 9 1/2 boot good, and a good idea. Also removed all the armor as it adds bulk and weight, my riding jacket has armor. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and would buy again.

Kevin S. from GRASS VALLEY, CA:
Nice rain suit. A bit of water did hoever enter between the jacket front and pans at the front when riding in a medium rain at 50 mph. Ohter than that I can liive with it. It is a better suit than I expected for the price. I would recomend this suit to others purchasing within this price range.

Tim M. from RICHMOND, VA:
Very good suit for the money. The previous reviews were very helpful in getting the sizing right. I usually were an ex-large in everything and I got a medium based on a previous review, fits perfect. If one thing could be better, I would suggest makeing the boot covers a little bigger so they can fit over a steel toed boot. That is the only complaint, great heavy duty suit for the price.

Quality seems great. I purchased a size too small and had to wait for a replacement but it looks good and seems like it will work awesome; fortunately I haven't needed to use it yet though. Oddly enough, I kind of hope to be in a light rain so I can test it out.

Kenneth T. from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
Sizing is a bit large even to be worn over clothing. Pant pocket was torn through before I received it. One of the jacket pockets tore through after only a couple of light uses. Keeps you very dry but dos not block 100% of moisture from seeping through. Makes a great wind breaker though. Knee/shin pads seem to be sewn in on the inside of the leg. It's so far off I didn't even realize it was supposed to be a knee/shin guard system until I read the description again after purchasing it. I wondered why I had padding between my knees and the bike! A great value for the money but no need to have these issues.

Frank K. from JONES, OK:
Nice, sturdy, ellbow and shoulder protectors are good, fits ok. Haven't used it in the rain yet. Maybe on the warm side though... Hose has soles and shoe covers tucked inside, which makes the bottom of hose kinda bulky when you don't use the covers. May need to make them independent from hose. Overall I like it so far, good quality, material seems to be pretty good, good craftsman ship, it's quite a lot of gear that needs to be caried along after use. Good buy for the price. I do however recommend this rain gear, even though I have not used it (in the rain) yet...

I wear an XL jacket and figured I'd buy a XL suit...it was HUGE!!! I went all the way down to a medium on exchange and it fit nice. Wore it at speed in a rainstorm and was 100% dry. Exchange was pretty quick too. This thing is beyond waterproof-it's like some kind of water hating machine. Great product.

Edward O. from METAIRIE, LA:
This is a really good suit, especially for the price!!! I got caught in a monsoon in Mississippi that had me soaked to the bone. We stopped and changed clothes and I got to put on my suit. I found earlier that the rain gaiters that are built in will not fit over my boots so I didnt bother with them. When I got home 100 miles later with the weather so bad that I could barely see, I was still dry except fro a small streak down the front of my shirt. This is because the suit is actually a size larger than I need, and I'll call to see if I can get the proper size. I was worried about the sizing and called about it. I was told to follow the chart, but I was totally confused and ordered a size larger than I normally wear. Could have ordered the same size.
