Jill C. from Ventura, CA:
I have been looking for a jacket to wear in hot weather for a long time and this is IT! It is so breathable, and comes in large women's sizes. I am usually a size 16-18, and I ordered the 3xl and it fits perfectly - I'm 5'11, so I usually need to order up to get a little more length. There is room to wear another layer underneath.. The price was extremely reasonable considering that it came with armor included. The whole thing is super light - if you hold it up to the light you can see through the mesh panels so you know that the air can get through there! I haven't had to test the durability in a crash and I hope I never have to, but knowing the armor is there makes me feel better. It has two pockets (wish it had more) and my Iphone 6plus just barely fits, but I can squeeze it in there.

Andrea M. from Dayton, OH:
Great jacket! I wanted something lightweight to wear during the summer that was going to provide protection in case of an accident. This jacket is perfect. I was torn between getting an XL or a 2XL because my heavier weight jacket is a 2XL. I ended up going with an XL and it fits great. If I wanted a more snug fit I probably could have gone with a L, so chest measurements are accurate. Very happy with it.

Ordered large, needed medium, return took a little longer to process than expected. Good product for those hot weather rides. Liner could be a little sturdier. My husband and I both have Xelement jackets and are satisfied with the quality for the price.

It is true to size. I ordered a medium and even perfect wearing with a sweatshirt. Sporty look and finish, great for hot days. The material is shear and lightweight, great for Indiana weather.

Sandra H. from BURLINGTON, NC:
This is a great light-weight jacket that has the protection you need. i looked at a "textile" jacket but it was much heavier and more dense - I am so hot-natured there's no way I could wear it in the summer. so I checked this one out. the mesh in this is great for air flow. sizing chart is accurate. would definitely recommend. my only negative is the lack of pockets. all are very small - could be larger, and could've added another inside.

Lou Anne A. from WALESKA, GA:
I have so many jackets at home. It was hard to justify purchasing another, but none of them had the breathability for the warmer weather while riding. My husband rides in his shirt sleeves, but I'm just not comfortable with that. I don't need the sun directly on my skin, don't really like my shirt blowing all over the place and prefer the containment of a jacket, but it was just so hot! I didn't want anything really expensive, I wasn't looking for armor and I didn't need anything with a zip out lining because I already have a leather for the winter. This jacket is perfect! I've only worn it once (in the evening, 80 degrees and low humidity) and was very impressed. I'll be interested to see how it feels when the humidity is up, as is typical in the south. I thought it would feel bulkier because of the armor, but it felt so light on - not at all bulky. It wasn't confining or stiff; it's soft and moves easily, like wearing a comfortable jersey jacket. I felt the air flow on my arms through the sleeves. It appears to be exactly as advertised. I'm 5'-6" and 160 pounds (yeah, I know, I never thought I would weigh that much either - getting old sucks sometimes). I'm evenly proportioned, and I purchased a large. Fits perfectly! I've only worn it with a short sleeve shirt, but I'm confident a long sleeve, heavier sweatshirt would fit comfortably underneath. As for LeatherUp, it's my first purchase from them. Shipment was quick, and the jacket arrived before expected. I am a happy customer!

Charles B. from Bellevue, WA:
I purchased this and the CF-511 mens. They are great hot weather jackets. We just returned from a weeks ride in Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington with temps during the day from 74 to 98. Even the slightest motorcycle speed creates enough breeze to pass through this mesh. Sizing was spot on for us. Very light. We removed back armor to enhance breeze and back comfort. Quality is good, but mesh is soft so one of the arm secure straps pulled out the rivet button. I can fix. We both wore either a tee or tank underneath. On cool mornings we just wore a fleece sweater underneath. They look as good as they work.

I ordered the large due to the reviews. It fit in the waist but was way too big in the shoulders. I normally wear a size 10 in tops and bottoms. I felt like a football player in it. It did seem like it would be cool and durable for riding so I really wish it had fit better.

Very good for the price. Fit is spot on. Mesh material looks cheap though and would not provide much crash protection in itself but you would have to spend much more to get Kevlar or some other strong mesh, so overall it is a good deal

Don't think I hit the stars right and won't let me correct. Fit great...wear a 16 and xxl is generous. Very comfy! Extremely light weight! Appears well made....but... The durability and strength of fabric is questionable. But sure will be my go to jacket in the heat. Armor seems decent. Would like to hear crash or slide report.

Dayna J. from SORRENTO, FL:
I recently bought this jacket and I must say it performs amazingly. I laid my bike down and took a little slide and the jacket held up very well. Only a tiny little hole in the left shoulder. Otherwise, it's perfect. My only complaint is that one of the armor pieces in the left shoulder wedged into my joint a bit and caused some pain but no worse than wrecking my bike already did. Its amazingly light and in the Florida heat and humidity that's definitely a plus. I tend to run a little hot anyway so when I got the jacket and put it on I thought "this is perfect". I wont ride without full gear but the heat here makes it tempting to skip a jacket. I never have to since I bought this one.

I like the jacket. It is cool on hot days as long as you are moving. The only drawback I see with this jacket is the cuff is a little small for my hands to go through. I bought an Xlg which is my normal size in jackets and it fits everywhere else. It has Velcro closure to tighten the openin.g but that is not needed. I like that the protection in the shoulders, elbows, and back can be removed if you desire. All in all a great jacket

I absolutely LOVE this jacket! I was worried at first to wear it during the summertime thinking that it would be too hot and I would sweat my behind off, but it's so breathable that you can barely tell that you have it on! And it's very light, even with the armor in it. Would recommend it to anyone!

Ginny G. from SAN DIEGO, CA:
Love this jacket. Very light and keeps me cool. I was surprised that there is so much air flow (first mesh jacket, didn't know what to expect). I think the sizing is a bit off. My chest 44' waist 39 hips 44 and the XL fits pretty well. Although the measurements of the L technically match my measurements it would have been too small at the hips. It is roomy in the chest, but looks right and feels comfortable. There are snaps the allow me to tighten the arms, which I did. I can easily wear a hoodie underneath on cooler days. The armor isn't too heavy and gives me the security I need. My bike is my only vehicle so I really want to be safe. I will be able to wear this jacket almost exclusively. I am in San Diego, CA so the weather is often on the warmer side. I am very pleased with LeatherUp's super speedy shipping and this purchase.

After reading the other reviews I was hopeful this would be a good summer jacket for me. I wear plus size 22-24 and ordered the appropriate size. It was more of a mans cut. HUGE in the shoulders, mashed my boobs, and very narrow in the hips. Had to return. Not for curvy women. Wish it would have fit, because I really liked the jacket.

Bought this jacket for my girlfriend to use during the hot weather in Texas Hill Country. Ordered Medium and it fit her perfectly using the sleeve and waist adjustments. (Purchased a leather jacket during winter in same size that fit her well, too). Matches my CF-511. Excellent passage of air through the jacket. Quality is top-notch. Like the armor, too.

Miriam B. from LAKESIDE, CA:
Overall, I really like the fit and look of this jacket. My shoulder armor holders were missing seams so they wouldn't stay in at first, but I taped them and they do fine now. Also, putting velcro on the inside pocket next to mesh wasn't a brilliant idea, in my opinion. It sticks and picks everywhere but where it should. I like to keep my phone in that pocket so it can be a nuisance if I'm trying to hurry. I still feel I got a fair deal.

Love this Jacket. Ordered a 3x and it is a bit snug in the hips but not so much that i cant wear it. typically i wear a 2x in clothes. this measurement guide must be for european chicks becasue curvy american chicks cant begin to use it! i wont be ordering from this site again as I am going to try before i buy and save myself the loss of cash from having to return items due to inacurate sizing.

I was a bit curious, since the jacket was so cheap compared to other vented motorcycle jackets, but I LOVE this jacket! The weather in PA this summer has been within a few degrees of 100F every day this past week, but once I get moving at all I've been cool and comfortable in this jacket. It's lightweight, the air flows right through, keeping me cool, and the padding/armor feels very strong and secure. Sizing is true..I ordered a large and it fits me perfectly, even if I want to add another layer when the weather gets cooler.

Received my jacket and was very happy with it. Great color for my V-Star but wish it came in a solid black, venting is great and fill great across the shoulder and I was really worried about this area. One thing I noticed is to me the sizes running a little big but as stated arm and waist can be adjusted.

This jacket is one of my best investments for comfort and style. So true to size medium. 5' 6", 140lbs. I was a little worried about my waist. The waist is adjustable and not snug. It's still a little cool in NY and I was still comfortable with a sweater underneath. I have a medium Joe Rocket and I can't even zipper it up without holding my breath. You will not regret the purchase. I searched for weeks just for the right one. Dee Dominguez NY

So glad I decided to order this jacket after reading the reviews. The fit is true to what I am use to wearing, and has adjustable arm and waist features. And, what is important to many of us women is how it looks on-it looks sporty, is not heavy or bulky and has the all important protection factor. I like this very much!

If you love to ride and like your comfort too, get this jacket, you will not be disappointed. I received my jacket last week and have worn it several times, this is the perfect compromise for warm weather comfort and protection. I wish I had this 30 years ago, would have saved a lot of sweat! Hope I never get to find out how well it protects! I bought an Xelement cf 426 jacket in '09 and have been happy with it and knew what quality to expect. Thank you LeatherUp, keep up the good work.

Camille M. from MARIETTA, GA:
I initially checked out this jacket online 4 months ago, at the beginning of the summer season. It gets pretty hot in Georgia, and the reviews for the jacket were excellent. Unfortunately, it was out of stock then, and it took another 3.5 months before I recvd a notice from leatherup that it was in. I have to say, it was worth the wait! Folks are right, the price & quality combination is amazing! Each time I got frustrated with waiting, I went to the retail stores to shop for a mesh jacket. Never could get myself to pay the $200 price tag when I knew leatherup was only charging $60. This jacket is excellent quality and I love the adjustability of the sleeve & waist width. It's sized the same as my regular Tourmaster jacket. The air flows right thru the material; it's extremely lightweight but the armour is more extensive than my Tourmaster textile jacket.

This seems to be a good jacket for the money. My wife used it on a short ride on a very hot day, and said the airflow was very good, much more comfortable than the jacket she had been using. I'm a little concerned about the level of protection, but obviously this is a lot better than a t-shirt.

Caitlin M. from GREENSBURG, PA:
This jacket is pretty good for the price. It allows for ample airflow throughout, and the sleeve snaps make it easy to adjust for a sweatshirt. Sizing is pretty accurate: I am an athletic 5'2" and the medium fits with room for said sweatshirt. The downsides, while not necessarily deal-breaking, are important to note: The adjustable straps at the bottom are not very useful. I would rather have them around the waist than the hips to help eliminate the boxiness of the fit. Although this jacket boasts "Level-3" armor, I'm not so sure about the toughness of the actual jacket fabric. It seems cheaper than I'd like, making me skeptical that it would disintegrate during a slide. My primary use jacket is a Fieldsheer Roma, so maybe I'm just used to a better brand. As I said, it's good for the price, but you do get what you pay for.

I am a plus size woman rocking 42DD. So, I purchased the 3XL(16-18). After trying on the CF-507 Mesh I could have actually gone with a 2XL. I love the fact that it breaths really well. I will replace the armor as it feels kind of flimsy. Overall I am Happy :D
