Sheldon J H. from BROOKLYN, NY:
Got this jacket 2 weeks ago, ordered it according to the size chart, in Medium, way too small, so I sent it back last week for an xl & I got it a couple of days ago & Im loving it, love the color, the protection, the weight, the warmth as well as ventilation for warmer days. One problem I had was that the zipper on one of the back vents broke as soon as I touched it, which is no big deal, the zipper works fine, it's just the tassle to open & close the zipper (which is a must when fiddeling with gloves on) came off. Other then that absolutely no complaints, only good things to say. One other point I also have a pair of yellow 3M Thinsulate leather waterproof gloves that compliment this yellow jacket perfectly. Also for really cold weather I go with my leather jacket, nothing beats leather to beat the cold. I have xellement gloves, modular helmet, wicked leather jacket, excellent yellow armored textile jacket & that's just the xelement stuff I have, I have 2 pairs of Vulcan leather boots 7 2 pairs of Torc modular helmets which I only use in the winter as a full face helmet because the modular part is useless, other then that it is a beautiful helmet plush interior & really comfortable, it's much easier getting a modular helmet on your head & then turning into a full face.

Mel V. from NORTH BRANCH, MN:
Great Value, this jacket is a very well made jacket. I was skeptical especially about the sizing but decided to order one. I'm very glad I did. Sizing on these seem to be inconsistent so I ordered an XL which is what I usually wear and it fits great. It is snug with the liner in as a motorcycle jacket should be but is still very comfortable but is slightly smaller than my other XL jackets. I believe that much like a pair of jeans were the size will vary for item to item this jacket is probably not consistent in its build. I don't think you could find a better jacket for the money, it's as good as my Joe Rocket, Scorpion and Shift jackets with the exception of the zipper quality. The zipper quality is sufficient if you take care not to abuse them. I don't just yank on them like I do on my more expensive jackets but I do think they will last and work just fine if I'm patient and use care. I rode in drizzle on a 64 degree morning for about 80 miles and stayed dry and warm. I also feel protected in this jacket as it is well padded and has armor in the exact locations where needed. Venting is also good and I can feel the air flow with the vents open Overall it's an extremely good value and I expect it to last for years if I go easy on the zippers (The yellow matches the FZ-09 yellow well enough to look like it was made for the bike)

Kyle M. from NEWNAN, GA:
Not a bad jacket, a little tight so order a size up from what you normally wear. Armor on shoulders and elbows are nice, the rest is just matteress foam really. Will be a great fall or winter jacket in georgia, right now this jacket keeps the heat in even with the flaps open. Looks good and a lot of pocket space. Overall i would buy again if needed.

I generally wear an XL. Bought a XXL and it is still too tight. Grantec, I can afford to loose a few pounds and this is good motivation but not super thrilled.

Great product! Lots of ventilation and pockets, cool design. The only bad thing is the shoulders are a little too broad and you feel some drag when you ride at 90 mph. Regardless, it's one of the best on the market for its price!

Bought this jacket because of the reviews I saw on here, so I guess I'm a go with the flow guy lol! ! But, seriously I love this jacket, it fits me great I'm about 6'2 200 lbs and I have broad shoulders if that helps anyone. Its a very good value priced jacket.

Kevin H. from EASLEY, SC:
I bought this jacket for my son. I was so impressed, that I bought one for me as well. I normally buy a 2XL normally and they are a little big. I'm 6'-3" & 260 lbs. I was forced to buy a 4XL because the 3XL was out of stock. I'm glad I did! Fits great! This jacket is warm to me, even with all of the vent zippers open and the liner out. It is great for the spring and fall without a windshield. I bought a mesh jacket that I use in the summers of SC. I would highly recommend this product, ecspecially for the money!

Mike C. from DALLAS, TX:
Can't beat the price for this jacket, it's a little small on the fit but it's not a deal breaker. Riding in 30 degree weather, I was sweating with the liner installed but it's not heavy like a normal leather. Riding in the rain wasn't an issue either, no water seepage and easy to clean. The only problem I've had with it is the main zipper, the flap behind it gets stuck very easy and if you tug too hard you'll loose a couple zipper teeth.

Geoffrey J. from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
Firstly, the service was outstanding and the jacket only took a week to reach New Zealand. I had read the comments by some others regarding getting a size up, but took the risk of getting my normal XL and it fitted perfectly. Quality is excellent with good pockets, and air vents which work quite well in warmer weather. I can't comment on its waterproof properties as yet, but that wasn't one of my criteria - the hi-viz feature was the main reason. Overall, it represents exceptional value for money and I'm delighted with the purchase. Geoff James New Zealand

George N. from BOCA RATON, FL:
The jacket overall is really good. I agree on sizing by other reveiwers. I am disappointed that after you remove the internal zip out lining that you lose valuable storage space for items that you might want to keep out of the way or safewr. The other BIG disappointed with the design is that there are NO sleeve tightness adjusters. This makes for a very sleeve flappy ride. I suggest coming up with some over the sleeve elastic type bands to stop the flapping. Without the sale price of ~$80 I probably would not buy it because of the looseness of the sleeves.

got the jacket, and like another poster said, if it had relective material on it I would have given it 5 stars. I wear a small, but the smallest size was a medium. this jacket fit like a small and I would say is a good light to medium jacket. you would need a heavier jacket if you ride during the winter.

Size runs a bit small!!! Other than the size, the jacket is great, good protection, decent ventilation, removable liner, good zippers; I wish it had more pockets. I would recommend it.

Really liked the jacket style, but it was out of stock for 6 months. Proved to be well worth the wait though. My order was delivered in 4 days, half the advertised delivery time, even half way across the U.S. Size chart was right on the money for me. Large with a bit of room to move and be comfortable. Impressed with the quality of Xelement too. Perfect stitching, seams precisely aligned, and not a loose thread to be found. High quality service and high quality product. Enough said....

brenda h. from CHANDLER, IN:
for the price this jacket is fantastic. being a bigger guy i had to order the 5x it fits nicely. It is a little warm on hot days but there are vents and the lining comes out to make it a little cooler. I still find it hard to wear during the summer days but nights and cool days its just right. the protection it provides is great. though i have yet to go down, i would feel alot safer with the jacket on if/when i do go down. I have had several comments already on how sharp it looks with my black and yellow bike. it increases visability during night rides an overall is a great buy. would recommend to anyone in the market for an affordable jacket.

Great Jacket. not 100% windproof, but it is textile. Keeps you dry in light rain. The lining is warm enough for temps in the 40's without any additional insulation. I was involved in an accident and was dragged for a few yards under the front end of a jaguar. This jacket (a) protected my upper body from the initial fall, and (b) it had only minor scrapes and came out fully intact after taking quite the beating. It's a played a big part in me walking away with only some bruises and scrapes! Thanks to Leatherup and Xelement for selling quality products like this!

Awesome jacket! I bought this for cold weather and rainy days and it completely does its job. i ride to work at 3am in the cold and i was fine. 100% waterproof. fits excellent. i usually wear medium sized jackets but everyone said to order a size up but the large was sold out so i bought XL. I'm glad I did because it fits perfect over a sweatshirt and the arms are the exact length I need. I'll buy another if I ever ruin this one.

James W. from CHARLOTTE, NC:
I am very happy with this jacket. It runs a liitle small on the sizing but you want a tighter fit in the wind. The velcro on the sleeves and the bottom help with the fit as well. It is comfortable and with the removable liner it is good for a lot of different weather. If really hot I sweat a little when standing still but while moving it is very nice. My first ride it felt like I was flying a little but fixed this by closing all the vents or opening all of the vents. I feel much better with safe gear on in my traffic here and so do my kids. There is no reflective material on the jacket but I fixed that with a reflective patch sewed to the back and my backpack is reflective anyway. I reccomend this to anyone and the shipping here is really fast. Price is awesome as well. A good value so far.

Nice jacket. very well constructed. I like the color. It goes great with my yellow helmet. It does fit snug but that is how I like it. I normally wear a large and I ordered the XL but sent it back for the L. It fits perfectly without the liner and since that is how I were it most of the time I kept the large. It feels pretty good even with the liner in. Went riding Saturday with liner in and it was just fine.

Sara A. from SAN MARCOS, TX:
The size charts are correct, the jackets are supposed to be snug to protect you in an accident. If its loose, expect much more rash. The jacket is great for colder weather, but here in Texas, even without the liner, it is too hot to wear it by March when the temps reach 80. I have had the jacket for 6 months and some of the seams are starting to split around the zippers. The "Armor" in the back is also not very wide or thick. Overall its decent for the price, but expect to get another one in a year. I would recommend it for a cooler/winter jacket for sure. Just be careful when you need to wash it.

This jacket is very high quality. As others suggested, I ordered one size larger and the fit was perfect. I am 6' 0" and weigh 220. Normally I wear an extra large. I ordered 2X and it is perfect. The armor in the back was perfectly placed and there was no discomfort from leaning on my motorcycle backrest; could not even tell the armor was there. I recently rode over 2500 miles from SW Florida to Indianapolis and back. I started without the liner but put it in when temps dropped into the 60's. Kept the liner in for the rest of thre trip. Range of temps encountered with liner in were from 79 F to 51F. Coat is very comfortable. I will buy again from LeatherUp!!! Thanks!!!

This is my 1st order from Leatherup and won't be the last. Very quick shipping. The size chart is right on. I wear a 42 and ordered the L. Jacket fits snug, but not too tight. The XL would have been too big and bulky. Jacket is very warm. I have only worn it in the mid 50s so far, but I think it will be warm even in lower temps. The quality is very good, especially for the price!! The only thing that bugs me is where the line attaches in the sleves. There is only one attachment point so the sleve insert tends to slide when taking the jacket off. Not that big a deal, just think they could have designed it a little better. I would suggest this jacket to anyone who needs a warm, comfortable jacket that is stylish and inexpensive

Eoin D. from AMMON, ID:
Nice jacket for the money and super-fast shipping! I like the armor because it's not very restrictive, yet it's apparently rated to the highest level of protection that the CE has. I can't give it 5 stars because there's absolutely no reflective material anywhere on the jacket. According to the size chart, I would take a large. Based upon others' reviews, I ordered an XL. I think that may have been a mistake. It fits fairly well across the shoulders (my shoulders are a bit broad for my overall size/build), but the torso area is noticeably loose, even with the liner in. For winter layering, that's fine, but for a mild to warm-weather jacket, it's not so good because a good motorcycle jacket should be almost a snug fit. Haven't decided whether to exchange it yet or not, but Leatherup's exchange policy makes it a snap if I do!

Nice comfortable jacket. Ventilation works well. The zip out lining is nice for summer riding. The velcro straps around the waste help keep it a snug fit. Plenty of pockets for holding your key and other small items. I love it! You may want to order a size up (or two if you're close to in between) espeicially if you plan on wearing it in the winter time over sweaters or sweatshirts.

Kimberly A. from PARKER, CO:
First, the jacket itself is super nice. It seems well made, lots of pockets, vents, etc. And Leatherup has been great. But we find (got it for my husband) that they run very small. My husband is 205lbs and 6' tall, but is pretty lean and muscular, not fat. But he has never worn anything in a 2XL. We first got the XL, thinking that should be plenty big enough, based on all his other clothes. But it was quite small. We returned it for a 2XL... surely that would be big enough. We just got the 2XL, and it seems only slightly larger... still just a tad small for my husband. He could live with it, but if we were in the store trying clothes on, he would have opted for one just a little larger. Still thinking about what to do. But again, the jacket is nice. Just runs very small.
