Frank S. from Powdersville , SC:
Jacket is true to size. I am 150 5'4" and the Med fits perfect. This is a hot weather jacket and meant for protection in hot weather. I ware a short sleeve T on the 85 and above days and a long sleeve T on the below 85 days. Wind will rush through the mesh outer shell to keep you cool. As the days cool off I will have to switch to a warmer jacket. This is not meant to be worn over a sweatshirt or other heavy outer garment. If you try then you will rate it as to small and not to size. The only drawback is the lack of a collar snap. I like to zip it all the way up on cooler rides but this gives little protection on the collar. Dont ride a night so cannot comment on the reflective trim but looks great.

I received the jacket very fast and the fit was perfect. I followed everyones advice and bought one size larger than my regular fit. I also used the fit guide provided and corretaed the two. Very nice jacket and for the money, it's fantastic.

I've worn it in temps nearing 100 and it's as comfortable as can be expected on a hot day. Can't wait for fall temps, so I can really enjoy it. I like everything about the jacket. Especially the price!

I LOVE this jacket. I took the recommendation to get the next size up. It fits perfect. And, it "Breathes". Amazing to ride in a jacket for protection and not sweat to death. I highly recommend it.

I have worn this jacket in over 90 degree weather and not broken a sweat. It breathes very well and still has the armor just in case something happens.

Great jacket for price. I was wearing it n low 70 degree weather and was a little chilled. Very nice for hot days. Feels like you are not wearing anything when mobile, and offers protections with armor and padding. Order 1 size larger

Paul W. from LAS VEGAS, NV:
I love the jacket. It is very comfortable and works really well in the heat. I can ride during the summer without dying of heat stroke and still feel protected. The only thing I don't like about the jacket is the lining on the inside of the sleeve is starting to fall apart. It is like the mesh is being shreaded when I ride, maybe rubbing against my glove or watch.

Awesome value. Works great, You can ride in 90 degree weather and it keeps the sun off of your arms while providing air flow to keep you cool. Plus the added benefit of lightweight armor. Should have bought this years ago!

Jonathan D. from CLINTON, MD:
Great, breezy, summer jacket. It may not be waterproof, but it does keep you warm even when riding wet. I felt comfortable, even warm, riding in the rain at speeds under 30mph. Once the rain let up, the jacket and my shirt dried out quickly. If you have a bit of a gut, order a size up. I wear 2XL, I ordered a 3XL and it fits perfectly, covering everything. The jacket arm buckles really made this secure on me and kept the elbow protectors in place.

Allan B. from BELLEVIEW, FL:
Great jacket! I love the light weight and good fit. The two outside zippered pockets and the velcro closure inside pocket are secure enought for a wallet, change, sunglasses or any other small items that you would like to carry with confidence. The velcro closures at the waist and cuffs allow for a good range of adjustment, as do the elastic and snaps on the sleeves. I also like the reflective piping in the seams which makes the jacket very visible at night. The level 3 armor seems very substantial. I found the back armor to be slightly thinner than some other jackets I have seen, but this may have been done to reduce weight and increase flexibility, making it less bulky and more comfortable. I have worn this on hot days and I have to say it doesn't feel any different to riding in a tee shirt. For me I find that any piece of protective equipment is only good if you wear it and that means its got to be comfortable. This one seems to fit the bill, especially at this price point. I have a much more expensive jacket that spends most of its life hanging in the closet because its too heavy and too hot. Since I recieved this one, I wear it every time I ride. Nice product, great price.

I ordered this jacket for my husband. I ordered the pink and black one for myself. His jacket fits great. He's about 5 feet 11 and about 195 pounds. I ordered the xl and it fits perfectly. We live near Houston.TX. The weather hasn't gotten very hot yet. But it has been around 70 to close to 80. We've worn it then and it's kept us nice and cool. I order from leather up frequently and I'm always happy with my purchases!

It is good price to have, light weight like they say here, more suitable for summer. I just got it recently so may use it next summer. Order it can't be wrong, if you want a light weight and very breathable one.

Randall Scherer from Roanoke, VA:
Got this model jacket for both my wife and myself. For me it was a replacement of a similar jacket that just never fit right. So far this one seems to be a good choice. The fit is good and the padding doesn't bunch up or pinch. I will say that for us we ordered one size up from what we would normally do and the fit is good. There is enough room to allow a heavy shirt underneath in case the weather turns a little cool while you are out and about.

The jacket was perfect for my riding needs. It is very comfortable, breathable, and safe. I like the fact that the sizing chart was there and gave a very accurate guide. Very happy with the level 3 armor and I can still move freely when needed with comfort. For the price, comfort, and safety, I definitely recommend this jacket to anyone!

/////BREAK/////PREPARE TO COPY///// I am 5'10" 220 lbs. 34"waist my check with a tape measure is 45" I ordered a XL and it fit's great. I am athletic, I have LATS. My sexy V shape body does not allow me to wear American Eagle Outfitters clothes because those are not made for real AMERICAN MEN, they are for Euro's and ladyboys. This jacket is awesome.....got get yours.

Alan from Sparks, NV:
Imhaven't had a chance to use this coat yet as our weather here in Northern Nevada took a very chilly dip. But, next week we're supposed to be near record highs and I should get a chance to try it out. First of all many reviewers state to get the next size up, that may depend on a couple of things, the size of the jacket you're ordering and whther or not you're really honest with the measurements you take! I am 5'7", medium build and weigh around 180 fully clothed. A medium fits me nicely, one size up would have been too big. I now have three XElement jackets and they all seem to be of good quality. This jecket has very light armor and is built a lot like a double knit sweater. It has bulk to it and is warm when you're not moving, but just walking around with it on allows the air to pass right through. Hopefully it'll work for those hot summer months; here in Northern Nevada it can be mid 90's in the afternoon and around 50 in the morning. I'm hoping it'll add a little warmth for those morning rides and be cool enough for the ride home in the evening. It adds a level of protection which is better than riding in just a T Shirt.

Charles B. from Bellevue, WA:
I purchased this and the CF-507 womens. They are great hot weather jackets. We just returned from a weeks ride in Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington with temps during the day from 74 to 98. Even the slightest motorcycle speed creates enough breeze to pass through this mesh. Sizing was spot on for us. Very light. We removed back armor to enhance breeze and back comfort. Quality is good, but mesh is soft so one of the arm secure straps pulled out the rivet button. I can fix. We both wore either a tee or tank underneath. On cool mornings we just wore a fleece sweater underneath. Looks good as well.

Excellent jacket, better than the one my friend bought from Harley Davidson. I live in Florida and needed a light weight breathable jacket with armor. This one to appears to have more and better armor than the one my friend bought and payed a lot more from Harley. Keeps the sun off and the air flow high. I'm very happy with this jacket. Differently order a larger size

Just received this jacket, its very light and well made. I listened to the other reviewers and ordered one size up. I'm 5'11" and 270lbs and the 3XL fits perfectly. The air flows right through the jacket, and I was very comfortable riding in 85 degrees. I do recommend this jacket, and would buy again.

first of all its a good looking jacket. you get plenty of air through the jacket to keep you cool. but they warn the jacket runs small and because of that reason I went up to the next size and that did the trick. I did notice right away when I have the jacket on and not on the motorcycle the armor doesn't line up properly but when you're riding your bike it seems to line up where it needs to be. I do recommend this jacket.

John W. from BRADENTON, FL:
The quality of the jacket is excellent, the price was great, my only complaint with the jacket is the sizing runs really small. I went to two different shops in my I tried on a Joe Rocket and a Harley mesh jacket I was swimming in the jacket I got mine in the mail same size and the jacket was tight. So if you are going to buy from them order a size up from what you would normally wear.

I bought this jacket for my husband and he really likes how lightweight, comfy and cool it is. However, one of the snaps on the arm adjustments broke loose from the material on the very first day he wore it. He was able to repair the snap with some pliers but that was a little disturbing for a brand new jacket. Regardless, I'm sure we will get our moneys worth from the jacket as the price was extremely reasonable.

This jacket is perfect for hot summer weather when wearing a leather jacket is just too hot. Doesn't look like it would be cool, but it is. I usually wear XL, but ordered a XXL and it fit fine. I have long arms and the sleeves were plenty long enough. Great price for a nice cool jacket

Robert R. from HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, AR:
I found this jacket to be well worth the money. Had a problem due to damage, which was probably occurred at the manufacturer, but it was promtly exchanged. They do run small, so order one size up from the Chart, two up if you plan to wear it over a sweatshirt or jacket. I've worn the jacket on 90 degree days and have only been uncomfortable at very slow speeds or stops. I would recommend this product for any one needing to cover their safety requirement at a reasonable price.

I took measurements of my chest and waist but thought it was strange that they matched that of the medium size specs. I always wear a large for everything and decided it would be better if it fit a little loosely. I am 200 lbs, 69 inches tall slightly stocky build and it fits perfectly. Only complaint is the itchy feeling on my bare arms when wearing this jacket with a short sleeve shirt. Some strings hanging off around that wrist area, but no problems so far. Great purchase

Great Jacket! Bought a size up after reading reviews. I'm 6 ft and 170 lb but the jacket was long enough and tight enough with a little adjustment on the side straps. Arm length was fine and the sleeves and body are thick enough so it does not flap around. First trip was 90 degrees and once moving the air flow was good. The price was great so ordered one for my wife too.

Great jacket for the money, this is the second jacket I got from Leather Up. The first one was also great. The only thing complaint I would have is, the inside pocket has a velcro closing system. It seem that the piece sewn on to the pocket flat always sticks to the mesh lining. I can see where this will over time will start to fray the liner. I'm considering removing it. Everything else is top knotch, worth twice the cost. Great jacket for those summer rides.

Nice jacket for the price. I will have to make myself wear it because I've never really been an ATGATT kind of guy. I'm starting to realize that protective gear is important (after taking the MSF course) and I've just been very lucky so far that I haven't gone down hard. Sizing is correct, zipper pulls and snaps all work as expected. Overall much higher quality than expected.

Bought this jacket for the mech type, I put it on in 80 deg heat and had my doubts about the effectiveness to keep my cool when riding. As soon as I took off it was like instant cooling I rode all day with it on even when the weather got up to 90* very good jacket for the price, my only complaint would be is the material seams kind of chintzy and I would hate to snag it on something and rip it. The armor seams to be good, I've had other jacks made by the same Xelement brand. Jacket is lightweight, and easy to wear.

Steve H. from Snowmass Vlg., CO:
This is a 2 layer mesh jacket constructed of a soft, somewhat stretchy mesh. It is not the stiffer, more Cordura type mesh. Tons of ventilation, adequate padding. An incredible value at just 50 bucks. I have to disagree with some raters on the fit. I ordered up a size and find it a bit roomy. I'm 5' 10" 195 lbs with a 44" chest, 34" waist and normally wear a large. I ordered XL and found immediately that I would need to pull the waist and arm strap pretty snug. Armor is good and well-placed. A little early to rate for durability, but if any problems arise, I'll be back to re-rate.
