Karl H. from CARLSBAD, CA:
Got this jacket the other day and was surprised at how well made it seemed to be. Very heavy and fit just right. Waiting for the temp to drop here to really put it to the test. I would have liked it to be a darker shade of brown, but I am pleased with it overall.

Andrew C. from SLIDELL, LA:
I am 5'11'' and weigh 150 lbs and the MEDIUM fits me quite well. I definitely wouldnt want a large and a small would probably be too small. So even though most people say to order a size bigger, I didnt and Im glad. This jacket feels very durable and it comfortable. The arms are a little baggy, I would guess its do to a little extra size for the pads. I took the elbow and shoulder pads out because they feel pretty awkward. Overall Im happy and would buy it again.

BUY A SIZE TOO BIG!!! I am a big guy. I wear a size 52 jacket. that translates to an XL, I bought a XXL and it did not fit, the XXL is XL sized. I am returning the jacket AT MY OWN COST for a return. I will update on the XXXL sizing. Also be aware that if our jacket does not fit, YOU HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP IT BACK ADDING TO THE COST OF THE JACKET.

Glen V. from ALLEN, TX:
Other than the size charts being a bit off, or maybe me, I love the jacket. I've not really had the chance to wear it yet but will in the next few days. It appears to be well made and the leather is nice and I like the color. I like the what I call gun pockets particularly! The elbow and shoulder armor, well elbow doesn't seem to line up the best with my elbows but as it is removable I can perhaps adjust it. Heavy is the operative term for this jacket, even when I don't have my firearm in it, it is amazingly heavy, but a guy my size needs a jacket made out of a herd of cows so I guess that's to be expected. Warmth and wind proofing seems adequate so far, but will know for sure soon. I have to say I'm very happy with it so far and at the price I paid I think I got a pretty good deal. The one feature I haven't found tht I wished it had was an inside chest pocket. I haven't removed the liner yet but if there was one I would expect a way to it through the liner. I'd strongly recommend this in further jackets!

I bought this jacket as a gift for my son and he loved it. The leather is really good quality and the brown makes this a unique riding jacket. He loved the zip out lining feature. Very well constructed. I would recommend this jacket to anyone.

Tim C. from Mendham, NJ:
Wow. Just wow. This is a very high quality jacket, seams and stitching and attention to detail are second to none. And it has all the extra pockets, real belt and shoulder epaulets that a genuine retro jacket should have. Although I chose to remove the slip in pads, it is nice to know they can be slipped back in. The jacket leather material itself is high quality leather grain, and should afford ample protection. The jacket arrived from California quickly, tracking was provided and even the return label should I want to return it. Which will NOT happen. I put this one one, and it fit beautifully well. Simply a well made, quickly shipped item and I could not be happier with this order. I would definitely order from Leather-Up again. Great stuff!

Well made, a bit thin but it makes a good summer jacket with the liner and pads out. I love the color and finish but the sleeves are a bit long but not bad(I have long arms and usually can't find long sleeve shirts that fit my arm length) if I had apes on my bike it wouldn't be a problem but on a cafe bike it bunches at the wrist.

I ordered on a weekend, by the following Friday the jackets had arrived. Not bad seeing as im in deepest darkest England! They are gorgeous jackets, nice and soft but at the same time you can feel the protection. Length in the arms is good, they seem to be longer in the arms and 'shorter' in the length which is actually really good. The tassles on the side make adjustment easy. This isnt the first time ive ordered with leather up and it will definatly the last, ive been recommending them to people over here as well!

This is the best motorcycle jacket I have ever purchased. What else is there to say? The quality is unsurpassed, and I will get a lot of great miles with this one. The fit is perfect, and the liner is very warm. I will probably keep it out unless I have to ride on a really cold day. The leather is beautiful, consistent and very heavy, not light and flimsy. This is important to me while riding.

Nice jacket for the bucks. Very heavy. I'm 5' 10" 205 lbs. Ordered a 2x...good overall fit except for the sleeves. Its designed for the Jolly Green Giant. Of course you want some length when riding, but...good grief. If the jacket wasn't as nice as it is, I'd return it. I'm going to see about getting some alterations on the sleeves. No idea what that's going to cost. Might be something to consider before purchasing. Hey, its hard to buy clothes in the store sometimes...on line, well.........

This Jacket is HEAVY LEATHER which is good imho, I ordered one size up from what I usually wear and it was perfect with just enough room to later if need. Gun pocket holds my Colt 380 perfect also belt is a little wimpy wish it had been thicker but hey it's removable so thats a easy fit. the cut of the Jacket is damn near perfect overall I'd give 4.9 stars outta 5

Terry N. from KINGSPORT, TN:
I purchased this leather jacket after purchasing a different one from Leatherup that ran slightly small. This one was ordered as the same size but fits far better. This is one heavy leather jacket. The armor in the shoulders and elbows is nice. The leather is very good quality, and I'm still amazed Leatherup can sell such nice jackets for such a low price. This one fits great, and I really like the style. The best way to select your size is measure your waist and chest with your clothing on. If you measure this way I think your selected size will fit better.

Reidar N. from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
Good leather, bad stitching. I'm guessing the seams will break up at some point. This is especially the case on the places the armor is incorporated. Its almost like they just stapled it on and your hand gets caught in the elbow piece every time you put on the jacket. For the price though... It's a bargain. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I viewed the item first, because I want quality rather than a bargain, but I do not regret it now that I've got it. I've seen many people recommend you go up a size. I did, and got a jacket that is too big. I am 190 cm (6' 2") and weigh 92 kg (203 pounds). I'm athletic with a slim waist and the XL was to wide. and the arms are just a hint to long, even for when driving. I've seen people describe the cut of the jacket as "european", but I find it a bit boxy. I live in Norway and find the style very american compared to other jackets. If you are from abroad the US and want to order the jacket, be aware that leatherup are not willing to exchange it in a different size or product because of the shipping price. btw. Whats with the gun pocket?

Johnny T. from AURORA, CO:
You WILL NOT find this quality of a jacket for this price anywhere else on the internet! Almost identical quality to my $450 Harley Davidson jacket at a fraction of the cost. Too many features to mention. I wish the color was a little lighter, but I'm leaving it out in the sun this summer. That should lighten it up a bit. I normally wear an XL, but took the other reviewer's suggestion of ordering a size up. I'm 5'10'', 220 and the XXL was perfect. The sleeves are cut a little longer, but that's what you want when you ride. If you are only planning to wear this to work and back you may not want to go a size up. But if you are planning to put your fist in the wind order a size up. Leatherup.com ROCKS!

Excellent weight on jacket but sizing is ridiculous. I am 6 foot 2 288 Not fat large 52 inch chest. 40 waist. It fits in 3XL but arms are a little long and chest is a little small. It seems no matter what size you order it wont be perfect but the price denotes that.

The sizes run a little small compared to other products. If it says 50" it means 50 inches and not that you can wear it if you are at 50". I suggest going up at least one size and maybe two to get the correct fit. Everything else was excellent on the jacket. A good price at 129.00.

The Jacket is exactly as was stated. I bought it alittle bigger. Which from previous people statements was taken in consideration when I ordered this item. Now, since I have received it. It is exactly what I wanted. Just right not too big or small. Just right. Fits comfortable, good leather smell, and looks good on me. Very satisfied with this product. If you want a good jacket...get this one...armor are in place and stays in place when moving about or just sitting still. No problems with anything... Thank leatherup...another fine product as well as a customer that is very well satisfied with your service. Chuck

PRO: Thick, high quality leather, solid stitching, heavy duty fasteners throughout. Well thought out design. Materials and construction are first rate. Today I rode comfortably in 55 degree weather with only a light T-shirt underneath. I'm 6'5" 210 lbs and XL fits perfectly. This jacket is as good as others selling for $300 - $350. I'd have paid $100 more and still considered it a bargain. CON: My jacket arrived smelling like new car upholstery, but that should wear off with time.

Tom T. from UBLY, MI:
Very nice jacket, however the sizing chart is seriously off. I'm a pretty big guy, 6 foot 2 inches tall, with a 50 inch chest (36 inch waist) - just measured before ordering - which puts me into a L according to their chart. To be safe I ordered a size up - XL. It's too small. I'll be returning it and ordering a 2XL. Slightly miffed that I have to eat return shipping, but truthfully the cost savings on this jacket when compared to purchasing anywhere else puts return shipping costs to shame. Get the jacket, just be absolutely certain that you go a size or two larger.

Daniel D. from EDEN PRAIRIE, MN:
Great jacket! It's hard to find a brown leather jacket that looks and fits great. I am a medium and ordered a medium. 5'10" 170 pounds. Fits perfect. I'm always confused when I read the other reviews before ordering. Many say to order a size larger than you wear. I usually do and end up with an item that is to large. Qulaity appears to be great. The only complaint I have which is minor... a tape was put on all the snaps and zippers. When I removed the tape a sticky residue was left and had to be cleaned off with a solvent but like I said that is minor. I can't even tell the armor is in the elbows or shoulders. I've ordered other jackets that I had to remove it so I didn't look like a football player. I love the jacket! I also got the gloves and boots to go with it. I'm ready for summer!

Cynthia C. from BALDWIN CITY, KS:
Great jacket! Well made...not a cheap pile of leather sewn together and passed off for a quick buck. Looks good too. My only caution is going up a size. Normally I wear a 2X but had to graduate up to a 3X for this jacket. I've lifted and trained with free weights all my adult life and for me to get a fit had to go 3X. 2X was to small. By going to a larger size it forced me into a longer sleeve. A little annoying to have the sleeves hanging down as far as they do. But I can live with it. I've also picked up a few belly pounds over the years. So guys watch the size. Even at a 3X it still fits snugly around the belly. Overall I would highly recommend this jacket and company to anyone.

I took everones advice and went one size larger.Jacket was too big and had to send it back.It cost me $15 shipping to send it.To my supprise when i orderded a driffent style jacket.(Because that one was out of stock.)I orded a more expensev jacket. And they gave me $20 off the price of my new jacket. The arms are too long ,the cuffs are to big around for my wrist. So all in all I will never buy another jacket on line again.Other than that it is warm, comfe ,good ouality leather. As i thought its a cheep Pakastan jacket. That would elplain the problems with it not fitting like it should.Shope around and get a jacket that you don't have to have fixed so it will fit like it should.Truly Dissapointed Nick(not dissapointed in there sirvice at all )

Cassandra R. from JACKSON, SC:
Bought this jacket for my husband for Christmas. Measured his chest at 46 inches after reading the reviews a lot of question was raised as to accuracy of the sizing chart. He normally wears a large shirt/ jacket his pant size 34 waist so the measurements didn't add up for sizing, so I went with my gut and the reviews and ordered accordingly an x-large. Fits like a glove. He loves it, looks good on him, and appears to be good quality for the money and shipment and reciept of the jacket was prompt. Happy with the purchase thus far and would reccommend to others.

William C. from Pleasantville, Somewhere:
The jacket itself is of decent quality. Thick heavy leather. Good zippers. Armor in shoulders and elbows moves far too easily. The leather belt around the waist is of poor quality. But the biggest issue is the liner. It buttons and zips into the leather outer jacket. Upon arrival, two of the four elastic button loops had ripped out and someone in the factory had tied the loop around the button to make it appear whole. Customer Service was notified of the problem, asked for photos to prove there was a defect (in a less than friendly manner), and then never bothered to respond. For $150, it's not a bad jacket. But it's the last one I'll buy from LeatherUp.

Randall S. from Pulaski, PA:
This is probably the best deal on a biker jacket there is! Seems to be very well made with quality stitching and hardware. Thick leather and unnoticable armor...as heavy as this coat is, it doesn't constrict your movement. The zip-out lining has four buttons that secure the liner to the back of the coat and keep it from flapping and bunching up. The pockets are deep enough for cell phones and smokes. I followed everyone else's advice and ordered one size larger than I normally wear. You'll want to do that, too. Excellent fit in the shoulders for me, and the sleeves are long enough that they don't ride up your wrists when you're holding on to the handlebars. The body of the jacket is customizable width-wise with the laces (good thing...no restaurant ever made any money on me when I laid a smack-down on its buffet), and the bottom rides right at my beltline. I would've liked to have seen it come down past my waist an inch or two, but this isn't a deal breaker. We'll see how it lasts; I'm a daily rider, not a boutique biker, so this coat will see a lot of time in the wind. But still, it appears that with reasonable care, my new leather should last a long time. And I still can't believe it was only 149.95...delivered!

READ THE REVIEWS !!! If everyone says that it runs small and order the next size up, they probably are right. In this case I wear a XL and ordered a 2XL, it fit perfectly. Quality is superb. This IS NOT some cheap bargain basement jacket. This is my new "wear it every day not just biking" jacket. Now for the bad...FEDEX sucks, it took 8 days to arrive, when UPS arrives from CA in just three days. FEDEX picked it up and it sat in LA for 5 days, and it sat in SLC for another day, but after the wait I was so stoked about the quality, I completely (almost) forgot about the delay.

Excelent Jacket, way above what I expected, fit is good, if I had a potroll(beergut) it would be snug, but alas, I lost that baggage. My biggest problem since it is the nicest leather I have had in decades, I am afraid to wear it? I am looking for the right way to treat/condition it, then it will see more daylight. Damn good company, Thank You so much, nice to not get screwed for a change. Thank You again for keeping Your word! Michal B. Colorado

DALE K. from JONESBORO, ME:
A really cool jacket, nicest I've ever seen, rugged, soft and well built. Only problem is I'm not a biker, the sleeves were a little long and that's cool as long as your riding a bike. I wear and ordered a large, the chest shoulders and belly was a little on the tight side, if I ordered Xtra large, the sleeves probably would have been way too long. I'm a short guy with a big frame and I don't ride, so I returned the jacket for refund instead of risking more shipping charges. I am on the big side of large, so I'd say if you are like me, go to the next size up from your normal size. Measure your chest accurately. I may try an Xlarge someday because they're so well made and very cool looking classic jackets...

Great jacket! Perfect retro styling, plenty of arm length, the arms are actually long enough in the riding position. Very well made and heavy leather. The armor is also very unobtrusive, but stays where it needs to be. The belt was way too long, but a quick trip to the shoe repair shop fixed that. I am very pleased with everything about this jacket. I usually wear an XL,and have another Xelement jacket in XL that fits perfectly. I got this one in an XL and it is actually a tad roomier than my other Xelement jacket. I went a size up at first, but it was too large.

If I would have had to design my own ideal biker jacket, it would have looked like this. With the belt all around instead of starting at the sides, without shiny buttons. Made from dark brown, almost but not quite black leather. To me this makes the difference between looking like a masculin man and a macho.

I was very pleased by the quality of this jacket. It is a heavy jacket and well put together. It does run a tad small so if you plan on layering clothes, order a size up~same goes if you have a large abdomen. LOVE this jacket!!!

Love the leather and the fit is perfect. The armor is not too much and all the hardware is top quality. I would recommend you buy one as soon as possible. Great quality overall.
